  1. I was at Ewood for the Mike Ferguson one. Sat upstairs in the Riverside with a clear view across the pitch to see in the distance the bucket flying and water splashing everywhere. It would have made a great video. I remember as an impressionable teenager thinking, well, if you have got to go do it in style. The match result was a heartbreaker though.
  2. I suspect that they hold a Board meeting, hold hands and wish for a dry and not freezing winter.
  3. So we chuck it in at 3rd round stage. Unbelievable and you'll wonder why the cotton wool protected will look like they haven't been formally introduced the next time they play together. Plus if I can avoid seeing Hirst in a Rovers shirt I take that as a massive positive.
  4. You are the one in the gym. 3 points are important at any time of the season and therefore essential to any playoff hopes. If you can't accept that as a fundamental in season point accrual, well .... I give up.
  5. They are doing their best to converting me to being a VAR supporter. Apart from a few past it or just lardy it looks like the rest use the same gym and dance instructors.
  6. The way Garrett kept himself in check when subjected to those deliberate fouls was for me a standout feature of his good performance. That is what midfielders who want to be 'hard' have to do. Get their tackles in and just don't rise to the bait of others. We need that sort of player and Garrett could be the one.
  7. Spot on. The squad is less than a month back from a months break. The busy Christmas/New Year period is over, a week break before the Cup tie plus,as you say, followed by another weeks break before Rotherham. No reason why a first eleven cannot be fielded if fit. And with all these breaks we wonder why some players, so far into a season, look as if they can't do 90 minutes.
  8. The match is live on international TV https://m.livesoccertv.com/match/4527724/norwich-city-vs-blackburn-rovers/
  9. I've seen quite a bit of Liverpool this season and agree your comments. If Nunez was aiming a foot wider of the keeper he would have scored a hat full of goals by now. I do rate him highly. Arsenal v Toon today so probably another late nighter here. Correction: I"LL be up but watching Michael Smith v MVG when it goes live.
  10. That's all I'm doing too. We are only still in the top 3 because we won. Thats where this started, proving as expected the validity of my argument.
  11. If you are happy to wave a white flag then crack on. You must have been delighted Mowbray threw the L1 title. Weird behaviour. In life you take the opportunities if and when they arise and also in football. Take advantage of this being, apart from the top 2, a mediocre standard in the Championship and go for it or someone else will. Anyway we won this inconsequential game or we would now be 5th and quite possibly out of the playoff positions by the end of today games. But some it appears are ok with that. For the record any game at any level is must win or just don't bother. I see Chaddy liked your post. What a suprise ...... I rest my case
  12. I assume we automatically get 0.50 of a point before kick off if Gallagher is starting. That's added to whatever points the game produces
  13. When Morton was hobbling off the Ref ran after him to point to the shortest route. The change would have shortened the walk by all of a yard. Morton, bless him, completely blanked him. Watching EFL officials makes me yearn for VAR. That's how bad they are.
  14. A win. I'll take that all day long. Don't really care about the look, tactics or style, just the win. Anyway it's Smith v Bunting soon, the Billy Bunter brothers battling it out. Great result Rovers!
  15. That linesman on the Riverside gave him good competition.
  16. Is Jan 2st now "White Flag Day"? It's not a must win game ... well not if you're happy with finishing the season 7th or lower or find it ok to finish 30 points behind Burnley as reasonably predicted by a Dingle poster on here. I can only assume that those who don't play to win don't play.
  17. My prediction of the top 6 at season end and in order is: Burnley Sheffield United Middlesbrough West Brom Watford Norwich *Rovers somewhere between 7th and 15th. Pre window makes it more interesting.
  18. Hirst has to play how the managers wants to play not how the player wants too. That is an absolute
  19. The JDT v Wharton stand off isn't giving "The team is No. 1" theory much credibility. Adam is the future for us, not some Klopp non entity.
  20. Cardiff are poor. Ewood fortress is a myth. So it's a 0-0 bore draw and up yours Sky.
  21. Wake me up when Morton bosses the midfield. Good luck with that one. Yours, Rip Van Winkel
  22. Good on them. They must be reading this thread! I hope I'm wrong about the outcome.
  23. Their parent clubs are not stupid but they recognise stupidity when it comes calling.
