Just watched the League Cup quarterfinal v Chelsea, on YouTube. I had travelled over and was at the game in JW upper, towards BBE, and right in the path of as cold a wind as Ive ever known. Today was the first time I'd watched the penalty shoot out in full as I'd been politely asked to vacate my seat due apparently to my reaction when Robinson waved at a cross and Chelsea equalised with seconds to go. I trudged up Bolton Rd to my hotel to find out we had won! The hotel was being used by Chelsea stewards, mostly serving Police, but they took it ok. The hotel burnt down a few months later. It was a dump and the bedroom was as cold as an icebox. No heating apart from a veteran single bar electric fire. Still the lady on duty at reception and bar was nice and did a good breakfast. Anyway the reason for this ramble - who is it by Salgado in the snapshot during the shootout? Jacobsen?? I have cropped out the bald lip licker.

Jones has a T20 average of almost 40 yet whenever I see him he bats like it's a 4 day game. He most certainly cost that game. David should have refused some of those singles and told Jones to leave it to him. The defeat was not down to Vilas, unless he put Jones in the mid order. A lesson in how to chuck a game away. Derbyshire did take some decent catches.

Only saw this thread today, too busy reading the JDT thread, and realised that the PL fixtures have been released a few days already. I tend to watch a lot of PL but rarely City or ManUre. Spurs are quite entertaining though.

Correct. When he came back last season it was late on and on the back of 2 horrendous injuries and a long time out. A hell of a task to get back from that so he quite naturally looked off his game most of the time and under paced. I hope that he has taken care of himself since last season ended and that he applies himself to what is going to be an intense pre season under JDT. The players will be fit. A full pre season for an injury free Dack and then see him play and judge him then. Sounds fair. We also need him back as near to his best as possible and committed, we need quality.

Apart from the fact he never played for us in a competitive game and never will. This place has gone all FB.

I am looking forward to a season of reading or seeing our head coaches pre and post match comments instead of trying and usually failing to avoid them and being triggered.
