  1. I like the early 60s the best, I actually remember watching the original episode when Martha passed on plus the loveable Minnie and her pussy cat . Yes I'm now in the midst of the disaster that is Fred Gee but lots of comedy. Mrs Walker at her peak. I started working in the Middle East from the early 80s and have been somewhere abroad more or less since then so I'm watching now for the first time. I'll stop, I think, when it gets too up to date. Come on England!
  2. I will watch it tonight, 2 am KO here, in the hope that AW gets some time on field. If I knew for sure that he would not be used I would watch old episodes of Coronation Street. I started at 1960 and am up to 1981 Now that this game is not do or die we will probably play well, despite Southgate who is as interesting as Albert Tatlock and lacks the charisma of Eddie Yates.
  3. I do hope Harry remembers that the ball is the round thingy and gets to kick it tonight.
  4. It's ok, we are first in line, as in above the Dingle dish cloth.
  5. I think Jonathan Trott was signalling "calm down, slow down" which got interpreted as "go down, go down", at least the player didn't clutch his face and do have a dozen rolls whilst screaming 😂 😂 😂 😂 Rashid Khan is a superb bowler and entertainer. His bat chucking almost as accurate as his bowling.
  6. Well done Afghanistan. Qualifying for the semis at the expense of the Aussies who you've screwed over twice in this tournament. A low scoring, rain interrupted nail biter of a match but so engrossing.
  7. I can't help wondering if the unfortunate lads balls had already dropped.
  8. 4 wickets in 5 balls including a hat trick by Jordan. That's the first time that I can recall watching such an over. Well done Jordan, one for the memories. Now get the win as quickly as possible and for as few wickets down as possible to bump the NRR. I assume that how it works.
  9. Not often you get to see an Aussie bottle job. Most enjoyable.
  10. This pitch will be relaid before Germany play on it. Still tonight the ploughed field is the same for both teams
  11. Our passing is atrocious. TAA can hit the occasional good long diagonal to a one footed fullback playing out of position but in the midfield mix he's a danger, to England. Our walking approach can only be due to managers instructions. Liking watching paint dry, that turns out to be a matt instead of gloss finish.
  12. Similar here. Naturally right footed so from an early age, encouraged by reading books on how to play the game, I self trained my left foot. It was not as good as my right but I could use my left to pass accurately, cross on the run, take a corner and hit a decent shot. I think the books were by Charles Buchan, football training manual type. I played organised football from starting grammar school until my early 30s when overseas work interfered and always gave the left foot extra attention in training.
  13. I've watched Mainoo quite a bit. Mundane, good at triangles going nowhere. Gallagher FFS what is his selection all about. Same goes for that Liverpool waste of space TAA.
  14. At least 5 dropped catches, sloppy lazy fielding, long hop bowling, Maxwell doing a brilliant impression of a full blooded Scot. Fortunately there were enough Aussie batsmen who wanted the win and they put them over the line. Having said that I no not think there was any Aussie plan to chuck the game, rather a lax approach and under estimating and good Scotland side.
  15. No, he doesn't know the meaning of the word.
  16. Coming up to 5.30 am local time. Up late watching England v Namibia. I may as well have breakfast, take the cat for a walk and then watch what the Aussies do. I think they go for the win as usual, they don't fear us. At least I hope that's what happens but you can't really rely on convict offspring.
  17. Work experience tutored by Waggott ... I rest my case.
  18. It's started. 11 overs each and in such short games anything can happen. So far I'm watching the start of all the Euro games but losing interest when someone goes 2 up. I'll stick at it for the England game 😊
  19. I've given up on the whole bunch of capital Cs running club. I'll just watch Rovers on TV and hope for the best onfield. Rudy for CEO, go fuck yourself Rudy.
  20. Another game done by HT. I'd be off to watch the cricket but it's raining heavily in Antigua. Still, the footy is quite watchable.
  21. Jacks ... FFS go home. Despite him we got the NRR above Scotland
  22. I'm watching quite a bit of it. Whomever put Jacks on to bowl that 2nd over yesterday should be back home by now. India out for 119 so Pakistan in with a good chance on a drying wicket. I quite like the look of South Africa but the Aussies will take some stopping and India won't bat again as badly as they have tonight.
  23. I've just realised that I just watched a full match of putrid shite instead of a Lancs win in the Vitality. Unbloodyforgiveable!
