  1. And Howard got us up with a squad of 19 including himself plus two coaches
  2. They arrived w/b 15 May and scheduled for 4 weeks. Assuming 4 weeks were all investigative/ analytical they should by now be putting their overview and recommendations together. This should have being an ongoing part of their work plan anyway so they will be presenting soon........to whomever ordered the audit. In due course Fans will hear: A massive change akin to an earthquake OR absolutely nothing. Imo.
  3. I remain convinced that something big is brewing. It may take a few weeks more to emerge but it's coming. No one spends these sort of fees in L1 to check who's fiddling the petty cash. The LT should be all over this like a bad rash. Yes I know.
  4. "Arise oh yee Rovers Fans and follow the Mowbray Way" Or "It's the truth. Neil Warnocks mouth is this big"
  5. Evans is a strange one. Probably unfairly I have doubted his committment and thought that he hides behind injuries. The Whittingham signing may well suit Evans style of play. It may however be that Evans wage is one TM wants shut off. Interesting times. Of course the owners may be hell bent on promotion at any cost and simply cash up to get up .... ROFL PMSL
  6. We'll find out soon. Some people are also just naturally fit. TM obviously thinks Whittingham is up to it. Time will tell.
  7. The real Carabao - a brilliant Thai band The leader singer, Yuenyong Opakul or stage name Aed Carabao, is one of the top guys behind the energy drink
  8. Age, fitness plus work put in? Give us a clue
  9. He looks in good condition - fitness wise - in the pics I've seen. If he needs a runner use or get one, which reminds me of someone leaving.
  10. Just read on a Cardiff mb that he had been living off his freekick expertise for a few years and time to move on and L1 should be good for him. Pleased with what could be a good signing for us.TBH I have not seen much of him apart from now on youtube. Cardiff historically one of the teamsI rarely watched if on tv. He would not have joined Rovers on 1 or 1+1, we had to give a 2 year to get him. Not too onerous imo. I hope we do not go all tippy tappy. In L1 you need some workers and cloggers too.
  11. I recall a player joining Rovers at age 31 going on to make over 200 appearances over the next 8 years and who is still to this day a Club Legend. If Whittingham does 25% as well as that guy it will do just dandy.
  12. And get some more STs shifted. Nothing wrong with that, I just laughed when the ST push came straight after the article on the same web page. Speculate to accumulate.
  13. It's a fantasy transfer thread......like all the other ones on here, just less fictional, if that's even possible.
  14. Darts team ? Stand well away as he's a bit erratic.
  15. Jason arrives to sign on at his new Club. The clue is that he's wearing a flat cap.
  16. Different times but when I was a kid I grew up watching cricket on the BBC. If Sky had been around my parents could not have afforded it. During summer school hols I would watch a full days play in a Test match and then play it for hours with mates until it got too dark. That was when I was young, later from about 14 had to work in the hols. I've not been impressed with the crowds at the ICC ODIs so far, England apart. Lack of interest, too expensive and on tv factors no doubt but if a 15,000 crowd can't be achieved it's a poor do. At one game at the SWALEC the crowd as embarassingly small. WC 2019 are talking of filling London Stadium twice, it will have to be an England game or India v Palistan to achieve that.
  17. Thanks to all involved in getting the Podcasts back, much appreciated. A good one to start with with an interesting range of speakers and topics. I look forward to the next one. COYB
  18. Really glad the show was so good and all safe and wish I could have been there. I suspect the organisation was down to Elton's experts expertise ably assisted by the real unsung hero 'workers' of Ewood and not the Chestons sort.
  19. I watched both, had 2 screens on but put audio commentary on the Cricket and I did follow that more closely. I could sit and watch cricket all day but the passion for footy has decreased. Over paid and pampered players, too much football on tv, too much playacting/ cheating, too much blatant corruption have all taken their toll. With Cricket I can enjoy great performances by all players. It's exciting yet oddly soothing.
  20. Glad to get my prediction wrong and well done Sri Lanka. If they can continue batting through the order and not run themselves out they are a threat to anyone. Very impressed with Gunathilaka and always by Matthews. The contest is getting better but must say suprised with so many empty seats.
  21. Excellent result by England. Pleased Venezuela got through. Conceeded a dodgy pen but scored a cracker free kick at 90+ a bit. Good final coming up.
  22. Australia and South Africa now both at risk of an early exit. India v Sri Lanka today should be a good one but I take India to win. Should England stick with Roy? I am getting tired of losing a wicket early but probably would. If we bat well throughout the order we can beat anyone. Root is superb. England bowlers v NZ were spot on. The Edgbaston and Cardiff attendances on tv look disappointing.
  23. Great work DE. It's like reading a Stephen King novel for the second time. You think you remember the story line and know you will be scared but just forgot by how much. On second reading little sub plots emerge and you can try to piece together the story but wtf was Pennywise.
  24. Isn't the objective of the concert to downgrade the pitch to L1 standard at no cost? Well actually at a profit. Some clever beggars at Ewood these days.
  25. Ex Toon player Cheick Tiote dies at training in China aged just 30. RIP Cheick http://m.bbc.com/sport/football/40163322
