In my 45 years of being a Rovers supporter I can't remember being so ''irritated'' by a player as by Ferguson (Dougan surpassed the use of the word irritate). The way he went about getting his transfer was pathetic for a person of his supposed integrity. I cannot follow why Rangers were so keen to get this loser back. Simply put he FAILED in the EPL - and in my view he failed by leaving the EPL to return to the Sunday Pub League aka SPL. I could have perhaps accepted in more if he wanted to follow Souness to those other gits at NUFC. For this wimp to now try and justify by slagging of Rovers is disgraceful. I am not proud to say it but if I read that his kneecaps have 'gone' the I will not shed a tear. Good riddance Ferguson - I wish you no good luck.

I was having the same thoughts most of today. We are an awful team to watch. I think that Dickovs energy level is fantastic and Johnson has skill but they are TOO SMALL and if thats the best we can do for strikers then the rest will just laugh at us. No one in midfield looks like scoring either. By the way - can anyone tell me if Emerton have ever done a backheel that worked?

Collectively this is the most inept squad/team I can remember in the 40 odd years of following Rovers. Not a creative idea between them. If we stay up it will only be because the likes of WBA are even worse. While I am at it NJ is the worst professional footballer I have ever had the displeasure of watching - crap he wouldn't get in my Sunday League Pub team. I have nothing positive to say but I feel sorry for Huges and the pile of dog poo that he has inherited. But thanks for the Early Xmas pantomime leading up to the Spurs goal. A girls team could have done better.

The reality is that we have - thanks to Souness (and yes I was in his corner) - a poor squad. Ferguson is a notable exception - I will be sorry to see him go - which he will. It is also sad to see Friedl now past his sell by date. As there are 'bad language' controls on this site I cannot comment on Flitcroft, Matteo, Reid or Emerton.

I was going to post something meaningful about GS but can't be bothered.

I do not feel an ''apologist' for being a Souness supporter whilst he was the manager of Rovers. The fact of life is that all managers move on or are pushed sooner or later. Whomever is in the hotseat at Ewood at any particular time will always have my full support as long as they are trying their best. In his time with us I believe Souness was. The shame of it I believe is Rovers fans who are always bitching - I see a real Rovers person in the shape of Parkes is now getting stick from some. Madness. We are only four games into the season - a new manager will arrive soon and we should all get behind whomever it is. This is going to be a difficult season and we all know it. As far as Souness is now concerned I do not give a toss - I am more interested in what the pretty new bargirl was trying to say to me in Nana Plaza last night than listening to the drivel coming out of St James's Park about how Souness is going to do great things with those North East losers. He is not Rovers manager so I don't care. Actually I think one of the problems we have is the young and inexperienced strike force!

I have always tried to be a Souness supporter but I am not that upset at his move. Probably best for all - except perhaps Newcastle.
