  1. We must have been watching different games. The standard of football was ok and way above our L1 status but from about 20 mins in there was only going to be one winner. Overall Rangers were mediocre. Rodgers somehow got himself the easiest job in British football.
  2. Makes no sense at all. The system allows it but the Club have to arrange it.
  3. Only registered players who are eligible for first tean selection can play for EFL teams in the EFL Trophy.......I think
  4. It may well say that on the tin but the thrust of the EFL Trophy has and is evolving to provide Cat 1 Academy with decent competitive match experience against Tier 3 and 4 teams. EFL rules and the frequent amendments dictate how 'strong' a team the EFL sides can field. This years eligible player rule amendments were discussed previously in some other thread a month or so ago.
  5. He better had start in what is an Academy biased competition. Joe needs to be given some first team bench time and usage.
  6. I bought a match pass for the Bradford game to watch via the app on my Samsung Win phone, having already tested it with a vid. The live stream failed to load and kept crashing the app, numerous times. I gave up trying and listened to the audio commentary. It sounded like just one of the guys from Rover Player but was quite good. That may have been just my desperation. I have now managed to watch the extended highlights on the phone/app but so far failed with full match replay. I have now loaded the app on the Thai wifes Lava phone and will try again v MK Dons. To load the app I had to first uninstall her Facebook to create space....the wife went feckin mental. Luckily I managed to reinstall after deleting other crap, she is not as yet aware of that
  7. Shearer had genuine pace before that injury. Ewood saw the best of him. We were blessed.
  8. Great memories. How I loved 'old' Ewood with a decent crowd on. The sub-titles were superb Colleen Hendry, Sharon/Sara/ Sherriff aka Shearer, Mens, Rigilio and Rightly amongst the many classics.
  9. My iFollow debut this week. Managed to buy a match pass for today so hope my phone connection is ok to stream. I have tested on a free vid so hopeful.
  10. Yes, just got to see a few Yorks wickets go including Lyth. I was well into the Test match.
  11. Bloody good show by Yorkshire and Lyth and good on the Test match commentators for the nod. I managed to see the last 2 overs by Yorks.
  12. For day/night to work you really need a short twilight period like in Dubai or similar. Plua guranteed warm evenings. The UK has neither. I agree that the orange ball is easy to see though
  13. Mr. Desai being hit on the head with a snowball. Black limo fleet. Black shaded heavy mob security gits. 2 TwoHats contaminating the Ewood turf. Chuck a few in of ex-managers under the pluckers reign. All matches covered.......mind you, would sell FA programmes.
  14. I'm the same and assuming the match pass access will appear just before ko. App works fine with a free video from the Rovers Library but await the live test.
  15. My sign in details did not carry over so I opened a new account on iFollow. I am still on a Free Pass and the app works a treat on my Samsung Win. Tested so far on the free vids. I hope Rovers do a matchday pass like Grimsby so I can test a live feed.
  16. Rovers Player lapsed. No carry over and yiu are due a refund. You need to open a new iFollow account via the Rovers website. You can open a Free Pass and subscribe later. This way you can test the app etc on one of the free videos.
  17. Pathetic but sets up the 3rd nicely. I do wonder about the 'Broad' effect on team spirit, especially with a new and young Captain.
  18. Correct, no grass but a rolled cinder surfacre. Very ordinary almost shabby setup but sort of an early all-weather surface. I used to walk past post game on the way to Kirby Rd and my Aunt's house.
  19. That was an odd way to thank someone for past service, almost "don't show up as a coach"
  20. Until Kamy posted I thought this was a sick joke. If true then I am @#/? done with it.
  21. I just posted on iFollow access, a chance to test and quality.
  22. iFollow Rovers now has a 6 minute highlights video, no commentary, of the game v Barrow. If you are registered on iFollow Rovers, which I have done via the 'Free Pass' option, you can access this video for FREE. Whilst still waiting for the android app to be released and having previously read that iFollow could not be played via an android phone browser I decided to test it out on a Lava mobile using Google browser. After login the video took a while to load and look like it might work bit it did!! Once the player loaded fully and the video started it played perfectly with no buffering at all. My mobile download speed is just 4 mb max on a data connection out here in a rainy jungle. Literally. If live games are of the same quality it will be excellent. I still want to test on the app when issued but todays find was encouraging. Edit: whilst fine on the cheap Lava phone, which is the wife's, it does not work at all on my own Samsung Win. A situation is arising which I will lose.
  23. My predicition on PL2 coming earlier than expected. They will call the Chamionship that within 5 years, after reducing to 20 teams and 2 up/down with PL1. Meanwhile the EFL games on Sky or BT will be picked up by international broadcasters so under current rules limiting their showing live on iFollow. With cameras at every ground and every PL and EFL game being filmed we must be nearing the point where all games will be 'on demand'. Rovers didn't miss the boat.....they missed the space ship to the Brave Rich New World.
