We signed Evans knowing he had a groin injury, gave a contract extension knowing he could only play with constant groin injury management which often seemed weighted towards his international appearances. If the surgery he had last year has finally cured the problem then maybe next season he can play fully fit. The Barry Ferguson purchase and sale is one for Maigret and best forgotten.

Burnley pub renamed after Sean Dyche
AllRoverAsia replied to Rogerb's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
From a sewerage facilty in Dingleland via Darwen and Darwin and the City of London, the UKs own onshore tax-haven and money laundering outlet, to the culinary delights of Northcote. It's like Lonely Planet in here, can't wait for the next destination. -

Dyche - Dutch origin which in olde English was the name for a town ditch or as they were then, open sewer. A fitting name for a Pub in Dingleland frequented by Turds. -

The Royal Dyche - there will be just a few sad customers each night just like the Turd, but will claim it's full every night. -

I watched the Fulham v Sunderland game last night Sundeland showed good fight and we done over by another Ref playing to the Sky camera's who denied them a bang on penalty.....allowing Fulham to run up the pitch and score. Jesus Wept the standard of Refs in all divisions is abysmal. I thought VAR could be the answer but its weakness if that Refs are still involved in the decision making process. -

It was a most ill thought out decision by Coleman. He could have left Wales and waited for a PL job to come up, which they did. Now his best bet it to stay there and try for a first season promotion ..... and new owners He has set his career back a few years at least. -

The problem was that unless they personally investigated then fans of other Clubs had little concept of what was happening at Rovers. Sky and the red tops were biased against Rovers fans and you had to be reading David Conn or similar to get the real story. Only due to our problems did I bother to look at what was happening at Club's like Blackpool, Charlton, Portsmouth, Orient and others. The problems start at least at PL and EFL level both of which are simply working in the interest of their members who are the owners and most certainly not the fans. Both organisations pander to the greed of the most powerful owners the latest example being the PL wanting to investigate Wolves/Mendes only because big boys in the PL fear top level competition for top 4 spots, nothing to do with the good of the overall game. Football is corruption gone bad, it's not going to be fixed and best, sadly, to try to be part of the charade and the rewarda it brings. Sorry the post developed into a rant. -
Not when my phone makes your emoji look like a cockroach taking a shi-t

It's good that the Club have commented on this and put it to bed.

Far better for Dack to test himself in the Championship with us who he knows than start afresh with a new Club and manager. If he succeeds the maybe the PL bids will come, better for all. Get promoted and give him a new contract.

The Chinese own 20% of Mendes and he has got himself a 'stake' in a PL club, he would be insane to mess up, more in the 2 partys interests to provide Wolves with decent PL standard players. Mendes and the Chinese are on to a win, win, win situ. -
http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/ticketing/index.html Category 1 appear to be for the "best" seats in the house. All seem expensive to me. The Fan ID requirement by Russia is intetesting. https://www.fan-id.ru

It took me a while to build up the will to watch Warner but I was amazed that the 'tough' guy allowed himself to be part of the coverup and Smith rehabilitation programme. Cringeworthy but at least his kids were not used in the video, just his wife. How the hell did 'they' make him cry? I can only suggest that it must have been expensive. He is finished at International level as the fall-guy in this debacle. Once that sinks in he'll do the talk show bare it all book promotion tour. Not for a single moment do I suggest that other teams do not push the 'line' but the Aussies are the masters and have been for decades. Lillee obstructing and then kicking Miandad and then blaming Miandad, Chappel and underarm, Ponting refushing to accept umpire and video decision, McGrath v West Indies, constant chirping when Lyon bowls ..... the list goes on and on. This time blatant ball tampering or cheating in the common tongue, then continuing to lie when caught and then crying for the sympathy vote, Pathetic. They should just play the game of Cricket, at which they are very very good.

Both are strong personalities and will give as good as they get. Nothing wrong with that. When McCarthy managed good players with Ireland he had a good footballing team and longball was for a simple reason, look at who they had as a striker. Both Allardyce and McCarthy have managed well in the EFL environments they found themselves in. Both top blokes. As you say Chaddy it's all about different opinions, and why we all post -

Good to see you agree that he is therefore a damm good manager. -
No British referees at World Cup 2018, the first time in 80 years that this has happened. Not good enough? FIFA payback time? A Russian order to FIFA? https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/mar/29/fifa-world-cup-no-british-referees-2018

And Oz is famous for its Crocodiles, they are everywhere.

I had just watched the Lehmann interview in which he says he's not resigning to see he is now quitting after the final Test in SA. Upset at seeing Smith and Bancroft so upset on TV. An Aussie Soap Opera at its best.
-
He can cry as much as he wants, no sympathy from me. Making Warner Public Enemy No. 1 and claiming Smith was only aware of the plans minutes before retaking the field are an insult to our intelligence. Great cricketer that he is does not cover up his arrogance and flaws. The Smith character rehabilitation programme will get into full swing soon and I wonder if when it does Warner will not feel provoked to speak out and name names.

I agree with all your views. Ali has had an awful tour, I hope his confidence can return and get his form back in English conditions. I do hope we show some batting application and grit...............but not in the Aussie way
