  1. I think that TM is saying that the previous coaching the players received has not drilled into them the basics of what to do in any given situation or that they as a group have failed to take it on board. It is also an admission I think that his input to date has been largely ineffectual with the players he's got. Or maybe this is the Mowbray way of giving the players a kick up the backside...by publicly saying they are not very good. I wonder how that will go down with the players. I found his words as quoted very depressing.
  2. Well the players are not going to learn and remember all that by Friday that's for sure. TM knows that we are as good as down and is blaming Coyle and the players. Quite right and quite clever of TM to pass the buck before relegation is confirmed and the witch hunt really gets going.
  3. That is my view too...... I really want him to prove me wrong.
  4. Senior comes across as a very astute, ambitious and ruthless man who has now chosen DoF as his route to the top in football. He needs success at Rovers on his CV. When he knows he can't achieve it at Rovers he will be off quicker than a whores draws. However he is too smart to have been conned by the putrid of Pune so I am going to wait and see what happens in the summer window. Have to....anyway
  5. TM has got off to great start and if he sees out an 18 month contract that in itself will be a fantastic achievement.........by Tony Mowbray. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/may/26/sack-race-record-managerial-dismissals
  6. The best manager/head coach that we have had since Big Sam. Good results so far. He has a great enthusiasm for the game and I enjoy listening or reading his comments. With the Venkey factor I doubt if he will be at Rovers for long. I hope that I am wrong.
  7. Well said! Remember this rule: Its not what you write its who writes it.
  8. The daily dose of s-hit stirring from BDSPaul and on match day too. Shame on you.
  9. If Rovers allow Evans to play for NI when he will obviously not be match fit they are mental. Having said that I have long suspected that some of Evans apparent injuries are match appearance related.
  10. Wow!!!! Evans fit for Northern Ireland shock. Its a pee take.
  11. Finally the answer. Those 4 shades of Orange are proof positive.
  12. An unnamed genial gentlemam talks with Mowbray............was the call made from or to Pune....just wondering.......... Its not like the LT to skimp on detail................ http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/blackburn/15137537._They_were_very_supportive____Tony_Mowbray_on_speaking_to_Blackburn_Rovers_owners_Venky_s/
  13. I agree. Cheston's function since the arrival of Senior is that of a bookkeeper. Senior is running Cheston and everything else on a day to day basis. Senior's control is Pasha and on .... They all slurp from the same trough.
  14. Cheston on cost cutting 22 02 2017 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/15107729.Mike_Cheston__Blackburn_Rovers_will_continue_to_cut_costs___despite_seeing_losses_fall/?ref=rl&lp=4
  15. Stop doing it then! Simples apart from I've done it too but no photo Mowbray does look right smart though as Rovers manager. Nice tie too.
  16. It's either Tony's dress sense or watching Everton. No brainer for me.
  17. Sadly my internet was s hite yesterday and never got to see the game live and only youtube highlights today. I can't make out the tie or its colours from the matchday photos in the above link. I assume he unbuttoned his 2 coats at some stage if the tie was seen in its full glory ... or infamy
  18. Nevermind the colour was TM wearing a tie? http://mobile.rovers.co.uk/photo-galleries/?gallery_id=0# Edit: for the record I don't care if he wears a tie or not or what colour it was .... as long as not claret and blue. I think he would have a Rovers club tie on.
  19. Photo evidence that Tony has a reasonable tie selection. Be thankful he wasn't wearing the lime green one. https://www.google.co.th/search?q=tony+mowbray&client=ms-android-samsung&prmd=inv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjA6uOlxr_SAhXDopQKHbGJDyUQ_AUICCgB&biw=320&bih=452
  20. Yes indeed! although I think he was after the big gig in Scotland. How could I forget Mr. Lambert who is something of a serial 'resigner' with maybe another due soon. Still it makes his CV read better.
  21. Yes I agree with you on that. I can't recall quickly any managers resigning without that is a new job already set up. I think Mowbray saw no way to suceed at Coventry.
  22. He walked out and left Coventry in the lurch, why would he expect or ask for compensation? One comment he made on departure from Coventry "We knew what the budget was but we didn't get our targets. You can't build a club off loans. They have to invest in footballers they can keep and build on." I hope he's not having to say similar in the future. Oh and I'm on Mowbray's side and so far well done TM.
