The rule always used to be as @MarkBRFChas said, pricing had to be matched for like for like areas of the ground. It may have changed in the last couple of years mind.

I went in a party of 11 walk ons against Barnsley. They were ranging from recently lapsed season ticket holders like myself to someone’s partner who has no interest in Rovers but just tagged along. We all enjoyed it and after we were talking about the next game. It cropped up it was £10 more expensive and we ended up explaining to the casual fans it was because the club want to maximise profit from away fans and the home fans are just collateral damage. The first question was “Well how much is it in the opposite stand (Riverside)”. Again we had to explain that even though the facilities are of a much lower standard in the Riverside it costs the same money to sit there. Why I do not know. Why can’t the Riverside be £22 for Cat A games? Surely we can charge less for that stand and still £30 for the DE?

But in those years you have missed there have been many cracking atmospheres down at Ewood, especially on the Blackburn end. There was also many cracking atmospheres in the 90s too. What you want isn’t an atmosphere. It’s to be able to stand up, sing and swear without other people complaining at you. Now if the club set up a zone or an area (they kind of did with the DE unreserved ) for like minded souls that would solve your problem. But as they didn’t in 1999 you ended up in altercations with fans and then you chose to walk away.

I actually like the fact this season we will launch it long and into the channels and mix it up a bit. The last few seasons have seen passes for the sake of keeping hold of the ball which looked good on the stats but was boring and got us nowhere. Now that the defence is more solid we will risk going longer and losing the ball more like we did in the league one days. Not that we aren't a good footballing side and don't play some good stuff - Buckley and Rothwell have been excellent in the opponent's half.of the pitch - but we have a second string to our bow.

Same way they did when they brought in allowing 5 substitutions midway through the 2019-2020 season.

From a footballing perspective hope it goes ahead purely as we are on an immense run of form and we don't seem to be hit with covid issues with key players. Having the points in the bag is always preferable to games in hand, but maybe especially more so this year if other teams end up with a congested fixture list in 2022.

I say it every time but 5% off your ST if you had one last year, 10% off if you had one for 2 years etc.. up to 20% off for 4 years. I would definitely have renewed to keep my loyalty discount instead of taking a season out to see how COVID and Waggot affected this season like I have done.

Parker and. Bournemouth fans talking as if the first goal is definitely offside. They must have seen a different angle than on all the footage I’ve seen. Its tight but the defender behind Lenihan’is is the deepest and may be playing him on, and Diaz may well be in front of the defenders but may be behind Lenihan’s head when he heads the ball. You can’t pause the footage and get a conclusive answer.

I’d say Kaminsky is the best keeper we’ve had since Brad, but you have to accept one day he’s going to get chipped from 50 yards.

And loan him back for rest of this season.

Yeah I watched about the last 2 hours and that partnership looked very comfortable. There were only a couple of hairy moments, one of which being the last ball. However we know that once one gets out the rest will follow.

In the Blackburn End the Guinness Surger cans are, well surged, before they are served. In the JW before the Sheff United game they were charging over £4* for a can of Guinness Surger but didn’t have the actual surging machine. Someone in front ordered one and it looked like a pint of Ribena. When I got to the front I asked if they could actually Surge the Guness and the lad looked at me like I was speaking a different language. Piss poor. *I don’t know what it actually cost as the screens above the kiosk area were not working and there was no price list on display.

If it remains 3pm on a Saturday could attract a decent following, especially if we are still going well.
