  1. Season ticket holder at Ewood? Tough, it's closed.
  2. How do we know he wanted to leave other than ToMo said so (serious question, I may have missed direct quotes)
  3. That would be valid if we wasn't brushing under the carpet the fact we ended up playing a full season with a goalkeeper who was 5-times worse than Raya until Kaminsky actually arrived.
  4. Desperately need a striker in. Creating is obviously an issue, especially as we are basically carrying Gallagher each game, Aside from that it's a good squad of young players who look set to do better than I expected this season. I think one or two of them could grow into good assets (providing we keep them under contract).
  5. I see Sky are showing Championship games at 8pm on a Saturday night this season. Good luck to the Sheff United fans getting the train back from Swansea at 10pm tonight.
  6. Anyone remember the Youtube video that did the rounds before we signed Shabani Nonda. He was like prime Goerge Weah on those. Problem with Youtube videos is you don't have to sit through the 269 minutes of nothing before you eventually get to the 'highlight'.
  7. What this thread tells us: Southampton = Good Crystal Palace = Evil
  8. 20th Anniversary this season.
  9. No he just anticipates it going into the corner and steps to his left and the guy puts it straight down the mIddle. Highlights - https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/12375694/blackburn-2-1-swansea The save not long after was a cracking save though.
  10. As much as I think he has been a great signing and was POTS last year, I don't know think you can give him 8 when the only reason it was nervy was cos he dropped a huge bollock for their goal.
  11. Well I'm suprised but excellent win. There's life in the old dog yet.
  12. Wonder what will it be? Mentally not right, slight strain in training or he's turned up at Ewood in ripped jeans,
  13. I do wonder if the players are just not signing because they see a brighter , more successful playing career elsewhere. The money issue could just be a smokescreen.
  14. Or a club will just take a risk on him on a free for a smaller salary that he would get ATM, but still a bigger salary than he is on here.
  15. And did George Courtney not say he didn't add any extra time on because there were fans all around the pitch perimeter and we needed 2 goals. When in fact we only needed 1.
  16. Yeah it really needed an "OK" or "Not Really" category. I felt a bit sick typing Chris Wood - YES.
  17. Just out of curiosity, Championship top-2 goalscorers over the last few season. Premier League quality or not? Ivan Toney - ? Adam Armstrong - ? Aleksander Mitrovic - YES Ollie Watkins - YES Teemu Pukki - Unsure although he did score 11 goals in the season he played in the Premier League for a struggling side so probably a yes. Tammy Abraham - YES Matej Vydra - NO Lewis Grabban - NO Chris Wood - YES Andre Gray - PROBABLY NOT Ross McCormack - NO Daryl Murphy - NO Troy Deeney - YES (just) Jordan Rhodes - NO
  18. Yeah when I mentioned 'the club' I was kind of lumping owners in there as well. You can see my reasons for not renewing at the top of page 43, but as I say its not a case of "If Mowbray goes" or "If we aren't going to be challenging for promotion". It's the whole current package.
  19. The blame for falling season tickets lie with the boardroom / club. They can't get an extra player through the door because they have lost the fanbase.
  20. I mean, come on, Can they get anything ready on time?
  21. I've not renewed. Only the second time in just over 30 years, the first of which was Kean in the Championship. I renewed that year the minute Kean left, but not sure if this year would be the same. Unlike under Kean, I will pick and choose individual matches to attend. We go into this season with:- • Hitting the £400 barrier for a season ticket. Psychologically to me it now costs a significant amount of money and I miss most midweek games anyway. The enjoyment of the football on offer has not been consistently high throughout the last 3 years. • Little belief of any success this season. • No Transfer activity to drum up interest. • A manager who constantly oversees terrible runs of form, and makes the same mistakes again and again. And yet treats the fans as though they are stupid by trying to dress up performances with bullshit statistics and excuses. • A boardroom structure which doesn't appear to function in the best interests of the club. It's the first time in my Rovers-supporting life that all of the above apply. The break from Ewood has been dangerous. It showed that I didn't miss it as much as I thought I would. Maybe come September, when I know the games are happening at Ewood and I can see the glow of the lights, I will regret not being there. Who knows.
  22. That would be a disaster for the possession statistics.
  23. Can't clear a high ball. No way. Defenders are coming.
  24. Oh yes. Probably. i just skimmed over it quickly at work and read it the other way.
