  1. Everyone being well, hopefully back to the team which started against Leeds for this one.
  2. Not when we’re involved. Last time we went down we had 52 points Had we lost at Leicester last season we’d have gone down with 50.
  3. Not quite what I meant but yeah. I’ve reworded it 👍
  4. It feels that way but surprisingly it’s not actually true. This season after 19 games we have scored 22 goals. 4 of those goals are from our main striker (Yuki). 11 other players have scored a combined total of 18 goals Last season after 19 games we had scored 32 goals. 16 of those goals were from Sammy. 11 other players scored a combined total of 16 goals. However it was from now on when we hit the shocking run that led to JDT’s demise when only Szmodics could score.
  5. And Wahlstedt, Telalovic, Mola etc, etc weren’t good enough, who people were right about. It’s about opinions. You’re not going to get everyone coming on here saying everyone plays well. But if someone genuinely thinks that someone had a bad game, or is a bad player, there’s no harm in them stating that on here. If you were giving them shit on the ground it’s a different story. However some people think that giving the opinion Big Mac looked fairly poor again when he came on is some kind of cardinal sin which will undermine all of our progress.
  6. In my best Darth Vader voice, “I find your lack of full stops disturbing.”
  7. Yep. The more you watch him, the more you think “what’s the catch?”
  8. 12 points from 12 has certainly made it the most wonderful time of the year (so far) Beck was outstanding again.
  9. https://www.theposh.com/news/club-disappointed-scheduling-fa-cup-third-round-tie Peterborough statement on their big trip to Goodison being moved to Thursday night.
  10. Cesc Fabregas says “That’s not Barcelona football”.
  11. So in these minutes Rovers:- - admit Rudy was treating us as fools regarding us not spending money cos we only receive fees in instalments - Admit 65% of season ticket holder have to pay a higher price than other local sides (Preston) - Complain about the average home fan ticket yield for a game which was moved to 12.30pm kick off and which the tv deal they agreed already financially compensates them for this. - Says lower prices don’t significantly increase sales, despite the efforts of the fans takeover game (and certain other Saturday games previously) to the contrary. - Say ticket office staff doing ticket office things they have had to do for years is an “extra workload”.
  12. As mentioned, nightlife is ‘limited’ locally. If you want a decent night out and rarely or never go to Manchester then I’d stop there Friday night. Even if the trains happen to go on strike you’ll get an Uber for about £45. If you are concerned about it and just want a few pints in different places that are OK but nowhere special then stay at the M65 J4 Premier Inn or one of the Darwen hotels and go into Darwen. Under no circumstances try and go into Blackburn centre. It’s rancid.
  13. I work with a Stanley fan who has attended Ewood with me for some of the League / FA Cup games in the past. (Generally a football fan who saw the appeal of cheap tickets against a good club) If it had been at the Crown Ground I'd have probably gone with him to this with Rovers being away. But I CBA travelling to Liverpool.
  14. Also we’re are now back to having a great view from the camera being on the JW stand and the Blackburn End to the left. This still confuses the hell out of me when I watch a game now.
  15. The years building up to relegation to league one was the worst period. Season after season of J-Lowe and a lightweight partner. It was a lower level, but Smallwood generally breaking up and controlling midfields was what we had lacked for years. He just couldn’t do it back in the Championship. Tronstadt can.
  16. I don’t recall many issues with Leeds fans before (at Ewood anyway) Man City were generally the worst bunch to fill the DE. Always a load of dicks in their following.
  17. £35 to watch a Championship game of football in the Riverside. Absolute thieves.
  18. And also a competition between goalkeepers for who could make the worse howlers didn’t help. Tronstadt is decent at this level. He’s stronger than he looks as well. He rarely comes out second in a tussle. I did say all last season, and stand by it, that I’m not sure he’s actually better than Trav, but fortunately they seem to work together.
  19. I was very sceptical about Batth. He was a year older than when I first thought he was probably too old. However he brings that experience that McFadz brought in, but his legs haven’t gone fully yet. He’s proving to be far more than “squad filler”
  20. I’d pay an extra few quid on next years season ticket just to give them 2k again and watch their meltdown.
  21. It seems like Cantwell and his relationship with Rangers / Scottish football was a big story up north. Therefore these social media headlines (which have no substance when you read the articles) are just click bait. Probably has both old firm fan bases frothing and clicking.
  22. Not sure how the process works. I’m less than a mile away and the heaviest of the rain seemed between 6am and 8am, so I imagine it was playable from a waterlogging perspective last night. @arbitro I presume only the match official can call the game off after inspection? If the club contacts the referee at 8.30 and says we may have a problem, is there any pressure on the referee to come immediately?
  23. On 22nd December 2012 we were postponed due to waterlogging against Brighton. On the same day Accy Stanley played at home. Boxing Day 2015 was similar, with us being the only Championship game off. Ewood has always had drainage issues, and it’s been well known for years it’s due to the river.
