  1. Let’s not forget that you once said that you wouldn’t get a season ticket if Owen Coyle was appointed manager, and then did.
  2. As of last year, you received £125k for being a live TV game, and only £55k for being on I player. Thats such a nominal amount that you can't even have the argument the club should use that to subsidise lower tickets for an inconvenient date / time.
  3. 1st one clearly isn't, but as the Burnley player isn't trying to play the ball it should be a red card. 2nd one I think is. I really hope that Sheff united game on the last day of the season is a dead rubber for us but crucial for their automatic promotion.
  4. I'm sure Ty will jump at agreeing to that rather than let his contract run down.
  5. On Assanthe, this seams a balanced view from West Brom fans.
  6. It wasn't actually. "Did well under Eustace. Doesn't seem suited to the way we play now but wouldn't be a surprise if Eustace got him playing well again." Leeds fans have hated Bamford for a couple of seasons at least now.
  7. My issue with Rudy was when he said one of the reasons we couldn't spend money on players was because "the money we receive for outgoing transfers is paid in instalments". The club has since rowed back and acknowledged that incoming transfers are also 'paid in instalments' so it shouldn't make a difference. The problem is, once Rudy is caught out trying to pull the wool over the fans eyes you then start to doubt everything he says. The Forshaw signing looked a strange one on paper, and now we have the Boro link it starts to look a little bit 'lazy'.
  8. John Fleck didn't retire. He signed for Chesterfield and managed 18 minutes in the cup against Horsham. Made the bench on new years day though. 👍
  9. Hmm. Tamworth were literally two blocked shot in injury time away from beating Spurs this afternoon, which would have been the biggest FA Cup shock in my living memory.
  10. Presuming by top class we aren’t meaning ‘world class’, definitely Beattie. At the time he wasn’t deamed ‘good enough’, but 81 Premier League goals and 5 England caps certainly puts him as a top class striker.
  11. Just come on to say the same. This ref has been so favourable to Spuds here.
  12. It was the semi. Exactly the opposite happened in The Deansgate pub. Full of Rovers fans and two Chelsea lads came in. Fair play, they got a drink and took the banter,
  13. Wait another 15 years when one semi will be in Los Angeles and one in Riyadh.
  14. Typical Eustace away performance. I never felt Boro looked like scoring, and the longer it went on the more we looked like we would get infront. Very similar to the league game.
  15. It’s the same story from Norwich and Leeds fans tho.
  16. The amount of time between Forshaw at Boro and Rovers signing him now, is the same amount of time between Robbie Fowlers first spell at Liverpool and him signing for Rovers. We aren’t getting that player. Anyway, the praise for Forshaw as a player on that Plymouth forum is few and far between. I’ll just leave you all with this one,
  17. Most of them are 20 minute cameos. He’s played 90 minutes three times (0-4, 0-3, 0-4)
  18. I’ve just never seen us sign a player where his previous clubs have such a negative opinion about him on purely footballing terms. And at his age he’s clearly deteriorating. I mean, I was disappointed with Batth and he is my player of the year. I will judge him as he plays and hold my hand up if needs be. But it doesn’t half reek of desperation. The likes of Sanderson, Sorba Thomas, Giles etc.. I could see logic behind.
  19. Sunderland fans had loved Batth just 12 months earlier than when we signed him and were sad to see him go. Leeds fans I’ve just seen describe Forshaw as “absolute dogshit”
  20. Just had a look on the Leeds forum as that’s where Forshaw was last a regular. They actually still call the physios room “The Adam Forshaw Suite” even 18 months after he left.
  21. But the entire thread that I linked to are in full agreement. They are practically all astonished that a top half championship club would pick him up. Look back at the twitter feed someone posted above.
  22. We don't know. All we know is some Stoke fans were sorry to see Baker leave, he has been welcomed back and our resident Stokie on here said he'd do ok. Whereas Plymouth fans unanimously are saying Are Blackburn’s recruitment team on smack? Plus he's squad filler that may well need to start our next 3 league games. Baker would have.
  23. Sanderson doesn't bother me. Blues fans can see a player in him and Eustace knows him. He's only 25 so plenty so his ability shouldn't be on the decline.plis when carter is fit, he is realistically 4th choice and may hardly get a look in. Forshaw however has been slated at his last two clubs and I've never seen a reaction of derision to an incoming rovers transfer like that of the Plymouth fans. We know Waggot was involved in getting Fleck through the door somehow, and it looks from the outside like another 'favour' being done. Personally I hope he's just a squad filler and better is coming in as well. As someone said yesterday, Morton would be semi-exciting in comparison. And for those who disagree, as ever both players will be supported on the ground and hopefully can prove us wrong.
