  1. If he's only here for 4 months its not worth getting your knickers in a twist about. He may still be better than the Crewe lad, he may not. But we certainly need some sort of cover for the end of the season which he provides. I'd be more bothered about not bringing in a striker or a central midfielder.
  2. You're a weird one. Spam the whole summer transfer thread with ITK bollocks and after timing. Then don't post at all since the end of August. Now suddenly back with 2 days left of this window now there is a sniff of activity.
  3. Yes, but apparently the Rovers club secretary booked him on a flight to Manchester, Alabama by mistake. Don’t worry though, we are taking the airline to court as we don’t think it’s fully our fault as the website wanted extra information and we feel we have a ‘strong case’ Therefore we are now back shopping in Bundesliga 3 or Serie D or something.
  4. It's a panic sale to pay the bills for the rest of this season all because Venkys fraudulently declared how they spent their money in the UK. If they'd done things above board their usual financing would have been received and we could have held on to Adam longer.
  5. Fair. As I've never walked up and bought a match ticket on the actual day I hadn't differentiated between the ticket office and the Roverstore. Anytime I've bought a ticket in the last 20 years it's been through the store so I'd just taken that as being the ticket office. Regardless, it's still shut after 5pm today on a match day!
  6. No, it was only said that the ticket office shut at 5pm. Even on the original announcement you could buy digitally. Not quite sure why you can buy digitally, but can't buy at the ticket office if you can provide identification of your address.
  7. Don't know why people are so worried. Look at the 4 goals they got against Coventry last season in the cup. Which of those goals and from which of those types of situations could you see our defence conceding. 🫤 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czstyufxweA
  8. Nobody did that here. Someone called Nixon “clueless” and you lept to his defence, quoting two transfers that he ‘broke’ that he actually didn’t. He just makes it his job to make people think he did.
  9. Let's not forget when Blackpool FC officially called bullshit on him last summer.
  10. Nixon is a prominent account on twitter, therefore he’s often the first one who people are likely to see ‘report’ on transfers. It doesn’t mean it wasn’t available elsewhere first. O’Rioirdan was first broken by Andy Dunn in the Mirror’s transfer blog. Nixon was a day after that. For Wharton, journalist Bobby Manzi puts the Palace link up first, and an hour later it’s on Nixons Patreon. So he got them right, but didn’t break it. And as a source, he’s only as good as the person he leaches off. You could look on twitter every time he mentions Blackburn, and there will be a good chunk of rumours that just never came close to anything. He sold Wharton to Everton or Newcastle last year, and had Darlow in replacing Kaminski Now he will also have other contacts outside other journalists so he will certainly get some ‘exclusives’. The problem is, if you look at Nixons feed, he posts about 20 rumours a day. That’s an excessive amount. It’s in his interest to keep his followers / worshippers keen for knowledge and coming back every day. So some of the stuff I think he knows is just bullshit, but he needs it for content. Highlighting the stuff he does get right with an ‘Aye’ is his way of trying to cover the bullshit. Therefore if he mentions it, it’s worth noting and certainly could have legs. However it’s nowhere near gospel.
  11. The odds on Adam Wharton not playing on Monday are dropping rapidly here.
  12. Would you have let an agent run the club and continuously employed Steve Kean despite results and fan opinion massively to the contrary even before the snowball incident. Something tells me their actions at Blackburn Rovers were never shaped by the spherical lump of frosted water which fell upon them.
  13. I normally say this on far different types of games, but for once don't fuck this up Rovers. They have only won 4 out of 13 games away from home, and got spanked at Stanley. This reminds me a little bit of league one when we played Oldham and suddenly this major, heated Lancashire rivalry from the past resurfaced with frothing Oldham fans all over social media and a police escort to the ground. I know this game isn't a rivalry but it's the same weird reaction from a nondescript fanbase (to us).
  14. I thought Elliot actually made some silly errors last night. Miskicks and falling over the ball. Overall though he's doing well for Liverpool Every time I see Cairney it reminds me how good technically he actually was. Just hardly ever gives the ball away.
  15. That’s just factually incorrect. Next time google it before you post.
  16. But his handling and positioning is probably still better than the two incumbents at 60 years of age.
  17. Lets hope the Indian Judge isn't a secret Nicko-teen
  18. I'm only going around in cicles because I pointed out that the same people who couldn't get the O'Brien and Undav deal done are the same people we are relying on this year to try and get deals done. Clearly not pointless for the thread. Pointless for you because it implies Greg doesn't walk on water.
  19. Considered coming to Ewood. Agreed to the move. Met Greg and Swag. Changed his mind. Of course he is going to say "fight for my place" rather than "Wasn't impressed. One was out of his depth and the other was a used-car salesman"
  20. Yes you can. I've done this to death regarding Undav, including yesterday. I'm not prepared to go through it again.
