  1. It’s the same story from Norwich and Leeds fans tho.
  2. The amount of time between Forshaw at Boro and Rovers signing him now, is the same amount of time between Robbie Fowlers first spell at Liverpool and him signing for Rovers. We aren’t getting that player. Anyway, the praise for Forshaw as a player on that Plymouth forum is few and far between. I’ll just leave you all with this one,
  3. Most of them are 20 minute cameos. He’s played 90 minutes three times (0-4, 0-3, 0-4)
  4. I’ve just never seen us sign a player where his previous clubs have such a negative opinion about him on purely footballing terms. And at his age he’s clearly deteriorating. I mean, I was disappointed with Batth and he is my player of the year. I will judge him as he plays and hold my hand up if needs be. But it doesn’t half reek of desperation. The likes of Sanderson, Sorba Thomas, Giles etc.. I could see logic behind.
  5. Sunderland fans had loved Batth just 12 months earlier than when we signed him and were sad to see him go. Leeds fans I’ve just seen describe Forshaw as “absolute dogshit”
  6. Just had a look on the Leeds forum as that’s where Forshaw was last a regular. They actually still call the physios room “The Adam Forshaw Suite” even 18 months after he left.
  7. But the entire thread that I linked to are in full agreement. They are practically all astonished that a top half championship club would pick him up. Look back at the twitter feed someone posted above.
  8. We don't know. All we know is some Stoke fans were sorry to see Baker leave, he has been welcomed back and our resident Stokie on here said he'd do ok. Whereas Plymouth fans unanimously are saying Are Blackburn’s recruitment team on smack? Plus he's squad filler that may well need to start our next 3 league games. Baker would have.
  9. Sanderson doesn't bother me. Blues fans can see a player in him and Eustace knows him. He's only 25 so plenty so his ability shouldn't be on the decline.plis when carter is fit, he is realistically 4th choice and may hardly get a look in. Forshaw however has been slated at his last two clubs and I've never seen a reaction of derision to an incoming rovers transfer like that of the Plymouth fans. We know Waggot was involved in getting Fleck through the door somehow, and it looks from the outside like another 'favour' being done. Personally I hope he's just a squad filler and better is coming in as well. As someone said yesterday, Morton would be semi-exciting in comparison. And for those who disagree, as ever both players will be supported on the ground and hopefully can prove us wrong.
  10. I see Preston had their cup game callled off due to "the weather" Tinpot
  11. Every Plymouth fan on social media. Literally all of them.
  12. He was. He was also in the prime of his career and went on to be City’s player of the year in the Premier League the following year.
  13. Portsmouth rested 9 players from their last league game.
  14. It’s only an hysterical overreaction if there is another midfielder coming in. We’re not talking 4th or 5th choice squad player here. Whoever comes in will be 3rd choice midfielder (after Trav and Tron). That person has to be decent enough that if god forbid either of those gets another injury and misses a significant number of games that they can be a competent regular first teamer. Baker, whilst a downgrade, looked ok. Stoke fans said he’d be ok. Whereas Plymouth fans are pissing their sides here.
  15. And they still think he’s been shit. Think about it.
  16. Are Blackburn’s recruitment team on smack?
  17. Robbie Fowler and Wes Brown say hello. Fowler was 'only' 33 and even looked technically awful in the minutes we saw him.
  18. I think that applies to the guaranteed minimum away tickets which must be made available which is the lower figure of 10% capacity or 2000 tickets. If, on top of that allocation, Leeds want to say "we will give you an extra 1000 but you must take them all" that will be outside of the EFL rules. Edit - a quick search found this https://oxvox.org.uk/leeds-ticketing/
  19. Actually this league is littered with Hedges and Dolan. They are bang average championship fayre.
  20. Averages were 88, 97 (Smith game), 90, 88. He’s a big 180 hitter but then, as you say, will follow it with a 45. Premier League line up is predictable. Aspinall and Price are somewhat lucky, having been outperformed by Chisnall, Heta and Clayton over the last couple of years, but are probably seen as a better watch. As I said previously, I just find it a drawn out tournament with little jeopardy till near the end played by generally the same players chosen to some degree on “character”. But that’s just me. Just for reference, www.dartsrankings.com is a great site for tracking player performance with regards to money and rankings (it’s always updated live even as tournaments are played, and www.mastercaller.com a good one for checking player performance (along with good old flashscores for individual match stats).
  21. I'm meant to be working in Germany that week. I found out our January scheduling just before Christmas. I'd normally be on 16.40 flight from Munich to Manchester which arrives around 6pm. So I either miss the game, or I piss around telling our parent company they need to move a production slot. As it is, they are quite understanding so I will be coming back a day earlier. Due to work, I always anticipate missing some midweek games. But I'm already now having to miss Portsmouth in a couple of weeks (which was meant to be a weekend game) and Sky potentially meant I missed the Preston game. Still, at least the money Rovers pocket from this TV deal is being used to help subsidise my season ticket to make the fact I miss quite a few more games than I used to more palatable. Oh wait....
  22. People are missing the point. If the manager and footballing staff want to (need to) do it to fund incomings (whether that be Mowbray or Gestede / Eustace) then it’s their job. They should be allowed to if it is within agreed budgets. Whether you, I or the owners disagree shouldn’t matter. The Dolan situation is purely hypothetically but whether the fee is 1.5mill or 4 mill is irrelevant. If the owners don’t trust the footballing staff’s judgement then they should be employing someone they do trust.
  23. I’ve not been following the Rothwell discussion as it was painful to catch up on, but in this scenario if Eustace and Gestede both agreed then absolutely he should be sold. It’s a no brainier. You have to let the football people make the football decisions.
  24. I’ve wrote that lad off. Talented, but there’s a reason he’s fallen from Barcelona to Liverpool to Ewood.
