  1. To be honest he's not been as good recently. I thought he was poor at Preston, but as you say he probably needs a break as we are reliant on him every minute of every game.
  2. I've been looking how that compares to our previous strikers, and surprisingly it's roughly the same strike rate as Mike Newell had for Rovers.
  3. Wonder if he will take the cups seriously, or if he ‘forfeits’ them like some of our previous managers.
  4. Another defeat. Let's hope for some inspiration and fighting talk from our senior players and captains. "Don't boo us, we're trying. It upsets the younger lads and dominates our half time discussions".
  5. He has left his well-paid contract at Sheff United to come here for the same length of time, so he won't be on £1k a week. Therefore , under the financial circumstances, why the fuck did we bring him in until the end of the season if he can't play till April? To me it stinks of being a knee-jerk reaction to the knee-jerk reaction of selling Wharton. All this whilst Travis is out on loan. As the footballers at the club come under the remit of Broughton, I'm adding Travis and Fleck to the list of fuck ups along with Wahslted, Mola, the Maguire situation and countless others. And before someone jumps in, of course it's Venkys who cut the budgets and allow these incompetents to be employed so ultimately it's their doing.
  6. Todays dragging at work so.... TEAM. W / D / L Burnley 0 / 3 / 6 Preston 4 / 3 / 8 Blackpool. 7 / 5 / 2 Wigan 4 / 6 / 8 Bolton 5 / 1 / 8 OVERALL W20 / D18 / L32 Win ratio 25.8% We also:- • Failed to beat Oldham in the league in League one • Have a negative (4/11/5) record against Huddersfield * Got put out of the League Cup by Morecambe in our only ever meeting.
  7. Good old Gregg. Paying someones wage for 8 weeks before he can even be considered.
  8. Next Saturday against Burnley might be the time. 👍
  9. I'm not sure they did know they were selling Wharton. Had the court case gone as planned and Venkys been allowed to send funds I think Wharton would have stopped till the summer. It was a knee-jerk reaction in my view. We will only have received a portion of the fee up front, but it will tie us over until more funds can be released. As many people say, if the judge says no we will be screwed. Regardless, if we do go down, loaning out Travis will go down in Rovers history as one hell of a stupid decision. For me, Tronstadt is steady but isn't the upgrade on Trav people make out. I'd be happier at Preston with a Tronstadt / Travis midfield than any we are likely to field.
  10. In the town centre you can't get in the The Northern Way as an away fan, and The Grey Friar has stopped letting people in (overcrowded?) about an hour before kick off a couple of times. Other than that, as you say, generally it's all good in the centre.
  11. He’s not got on the ball much but been quite good off it.
  12. “I had a fantastic time at Birmingham and I’ll go back and see a lot of friends and all the players. It’s a great club but Blackburn Rovers is the future now and I can’t wait to go there with Rovers and put on a good performance. *New manager calls us Rovers alert*
  13. Wharton starts for Palace, and is 10/1 for an assist on bet365 🙂
  14. I don't know what I would do with it. It's a struggle to fit it in the calendar as it is, so I can't see it going over 2 nights. As a competition it just seems to go on and on. The early rounds seem to have very little riding on them, but by the time you get to the last weeks you tend to know generally who is through and who is eliminated with maybe 1 or 2 spots up for grabs. So many games feel like dead rubbers and there is little drama. It's never hidden the fact that the week nights are glorified exhibitions to let fans who won't get tickets for the major tournaments experience live darts, albeit from a distance. It's just very meh compared to most other tournament on TV.
  15. Semir and Leo won’t be on anywhere near £10k. Leo was always coming in as backup to Pears and Telalovic will be lucky to be on a couple of grand and some magic beans. If we had a budget then I think we could replace Gally and Dolan for similar or better, but if they go in the next 18months it will be a freebies or someone else’s kids coming in.
  16. Completely off topic, but whilst we are talking about nats piss, does anyone know if you can normally get a pint pre-game at Deepdale. Last year it was no alcohol, but it may have been with being a Saturday night. I’m sure previously that’s not been the case.
  17. He’s only started 2 games, a win over Sunderland and a draw with league leaders Leicester. Check your facts.
  18. He’s been on the bench for the last few games.
  19. Not an option. But might have a future at the club again next season.
  20. Eustace did turn Kidderminster into the "Non League Barcelona"
  21. Yep. There is danger when the tactics are changed we find we go even worse.
  22. Surely its also Greggs job to find players to suit the style we play, not the managers job to keep reworking his tactics every transfer window. Ennis and Telalovic arent texhnically able to play the JDT way, and Sigurdsson couldn’t press his pants.
  23. Lol. We knew the forms had been late being sent on Saturday two days before your ITK fantasy. But keep em coming. Saying McGuire was in Manchester when he was then proven to be still on the other side of the Atlantic will take some beating.
