  1. Didn't need a knock on door, was nabbed at the stadium. Good efficient work that:
  2. Agree entirely. Doesn't mean I don't also judge those earning money down the chain...beneath those owners that are to blame. It's like the PGMOL has totally cocked up VAR and the setup instructions. So should I absolve every referee howler underneath that guidance? Or know they're ultimately to blame, but the staff under them should be doing better too.
  3. Criminal to do that twice. Now wonder manager's lose the plot. Must be so frustrating after all the tactical work they put in.
  4. Yes, we've ballsed many things up. I don't personally blame it all on JE, although he's tough to warm to. Could be argued the first major turning point towards relegation danger was the transfer day shambles. And that's firmly on GB. It definitely does (or could) matter who does what and when from here though. What's gone before is in the past. We can disect that in a week when we know what league we're in.
  5. Well there you go. He clearly thinks playoffs are playoffs, forget the final placings. Hopefully I'm very wrong.
  6. Morsy 🤣🤣🤣 Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.
  7. I really hope both of you are right. I can't remember the situation with Huddersfield last time (if they couldn't go up or down a place) but I remember the usual discussion- is it better to keep playing and have momentum, or rest and save energy. And Wagner was firmly in the get everyone out of harms way, no injuries camp.Think he was interviewed at the time as it was a bit controversial, spirit of the game and that.
  8. Has it been mentioned that it was Wagner that helped relegate us last time....to the benefit of Birmingham. 🙈🙈 Rested his Huddersfield team and played such a bunch of donkeys that 'Arry's team won even after an early sending off. I do not like the similarities here.
  9. Most of us said exactly the same about Leeds, and they had a lot to play for.
  10. Surely another factor is Leicester still being pissed after celebrating the title at a big party at Vardy's House. We still wouldn't beat them, but an exhibition draw is within our capabilities. Another reason we could do with a Hull win tonight. Never been so interested in another Championship game before.
  11. Always when it comes to this club, particularly this squad of players. So unreliable. I'd love to think they'll scrap tooth and nail Saturday, a final battle for redemption. But I have that same sense of dread as many others- that a pathetic capitulation may be on the cards. He's not that bad on speed on the break into open space surely. Does occasionally look like there's a hidden treadmill under the grass though, I admit. Feel like that's more with the ball at his feet.
  12. Because we're better on the counter attack. Have been for a while. But I think a stat was put up during the Wednesday game on Sky for just Eustace's reign. And over 50% possession had less points result than under. Even though we're at home, a relegation battle makes teams more cagey. Cov now have nothing to lose, all guns blazing, come at us hard. We sit back, low possession stats, then pick them off on the break with Sammie and Dolan's pace. Easy peasy right.
  13. And if you look at the player ratings the only ones we still have are the lowest scoring. Dolan 5, Gallagher 5 and this from Pears:
  14. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/59872928 I just put myself through watching one of Pears early performances for us v Wigan, Jan 2022. Commentator: "That's one of the worst 10 mins of goalkeeping I've seen in over 50 years of watching football." So what did we do in the 2 years since? Make him our No 1. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  15. I guess the joys of that fry up hitting your belly are a distant memory. Surprised you haven't brought it back up.
  16. All I can think about is how that performance AGAIN was by a bunch of players that sat in a function room sulkily moaning about how the fans were unfair on them. The absolute arrogance, delusion, and cheek of that moment hits hard today. Fuck the lot of em.
  17. A few weeks later I'm suddenly a massive fan of that rule. Was definitely blocking the keepers vision. 😀
  18. You're not alone. There's a couple Burnley fans come on here occasionally.
  19. Birmingham goal disallowed for a player offside in front of keeper. Like ours but more central. Birmingham fans had already invaded the pitch to celebrate.
  20. The Premier League crapping on all below them as per.
  21. I prefer not to focus on our inadequacies. It's much easier to lash out and criticise others. Let me have my emotional crutch and stop with the reality please.
  22. Leicester going to lose to all our relegation rivals, then hammer us final game to save their promotion. It's infuriating.
  23. He definitely 'attempted' one that sticks in the mind.
  24. Pears the first Rovers player to skip past a BC man.
