the guys been brilliant FACT, theres no agruement, I'm not sure what you mean by ability, he's a centreback, Head Tackle keep ball from going in net. If you judge player on their passing then I guess that makes Amoruso better then Hendry
-
certainly got an eye for goal, hats off to Rover6 on this one, looks like he could be right and will probably be boosting to his knockers on the board
-
so at the moment, the current status is we are going to play then next half of the season, knowing that our captain wants to leave and is likely to leave in the summer, thats a little strange
-
wow dude its just peoples opinions it not life and death (unless its an opinion on life and death) people don't have to think he's a god just because you do I think both sides have perfectly valid points, particularly when potentially selling a player you have to look at the pro's and con's.
-
That may be your overall opinion but it's not the one the overall one of this board. Can't pass or create chances. Get on to the ticket office and ask them to get you a seat facing the pitch. These weren't Chris' observations - they were a summary of what other posters' views were. certainly the wrong end of the stick, just putting most peoples opinions together from last few pages, although quote "he's not a great passer" doesn't mean he can't pass anyway, there is a lot in between great and poor. but laughatthedingles mirrors my thoughts on the subject

while some people are calling Fergy outstanding and others average, the overal opinion is: He's not a hard tackler he's not a goal scorer he does not create many chances he's not a great passer he cant't take free kicks well but he is neat and tidy he is a good leader he can infleuence games

best thing about germany is the motorways, I got flashed for going too slow last time I was there, I was only going 120 MPH, some powerful cars on them roads
-
so he's a good player then?
-
when Blackburn signed Ferguson Jim said he was a GTI Billy McKinlay, and I think he's been pretty much right except I think that McKinlay was a better consistently from 96-98, hopefully Fergy will show himself over the next few years, he a good player but has not really proved himself in England yet, Scotland is a poorer league, its hard to judge a player, look at Amo, really struggled.

philipl your post reminds me of the Jehovah's Witnesses that came to my house and gave me a book on Evolution Vs God, and the book was bias
-
i think Jan made some points that are true, we do all wish him to be a 7 million pound player, even when sometimes he's average. And McKinlay was as good a Ferguson, but then I though McKinlay was class 97/98 when we came 6th, if he had cost 7 million rather then 1.75 i'm sure he would have got more praise, shame about his injuries after that. not sure about Atko though
-
remember he also gets paid about 20,000 pound every week

Savage dropped fromthe team for tonights game, in the stands
-
maybe you mis-heard them, they fancy Savage and they like it......... better no finish that sentance
-
the way he is playing this season no wonder he was so pee'd off with being dropped for Amo last season, he's been a rock. Its lucky Souness went when he did, losing Cole a big blow but losing Todd at the moment, not worth thinking about!
-
Why doesn't Savage come out with a respectable excuse like............... all the women in Birmingham are ugly at least then people will believe him even if he's married, never stopped Flitcroft
-
latest statement then: "I have this morning received a marginally improved offer from Blackburn's managing director John Williams but it remains totally unacceptable to us. "Therefore, the player will not be moving to Blackburn."
-
Cole has missed a lot for Fulham this year (and for us last). Dickov has one less than him at this point. The problem isn't Dickov, it's the lack of a good consistent partner for him. still anti-Cole, he's doing fairly well in a struggling side, he's played less games then Dickov and doesn't take pens, so thats not too bad, "I think everyone should stop comparing the two from now on, and judge at the end of the season. having said that Dickov's doing very well my his standards, better then I thought, so really we need to be looking else where for GOALS, expecting Dickov to do all the work is what I think is getting to some fans down, if we had two other strikers producing half as well he would get much stick and A LOT less pressure, but expecting Dickov to do this by himself, probably is going to make things very close. I wouldn't mind adding another striker at this point

But with Savage, he can pick a pass out, run around all game with pace and score. Savages' profile He's never been known for his goalscoring. 24 goals in ten seasons. Bet Flitty's done that. Over did Savage's goal-scoring ability. But compared to Flitcroft in recent games, could Flitty do what Savage has done? Savage played in a brilliant cross for Heskey to score, I think, on Boxing Day at home to Boro. Could Flitty score a goal like Savage did on Tuesday at Fulham? All I'm saying is, that I'd rather have Savage over Flitcroft becaus, generally he's a lot quicker and that his final pass/delivery is a lot better than Flitty's in my opinion. one good thing about Savage is he can actually take free kicks, i know insane, but he scored this season with a beauty from 20 yards. (where as Ferguson has been struggling to get it over the wall) Recently he's been taking free kick and pens regularly, I don't exactly remember when someone decided he was a free kick and penalty specialist but its certainly a positive, it must have been something he's been working hard on in the last 2-3 years
-
1. When has he ever tried to justify moving to Rovers? 2. What is "distance time"? Back to school for AESF! I spent about 30 mins looking up the distance he would travel, it look pretty much the same check through the thread, someone probably Alan75 actually worked out the travel time i think it was 1 hr 40 mins from birmingham and 1hr and 31 mins Blackburn
-
Strange thing about Savage, he far more respected now at 30yrs old then when he was 25 yrsold, he continuously improved his game, and these days he's only taking free kicks and penalties. I'd say we will get a good 2 years out of him then hopefully we will have some decent replacement at that time.
-
what you on about? you can pick whatever game you want to watch on sky maybe he has cable
-
Very true, the games seem to fly these days and seem to finish sooner than expected. Not so long ago, I felt as if I was only going out of habbit, however, even though we have been only drawing, the "BUZZ" is returning and I cant wait for the next game these days For me too. Loving the christmas period as the games keep coming thick and fast. Brought the joy back into the game I always got a Buzz even when Blackburn were doing bad, thanks to a very high dose of these painkillers

philipl The point I was making is that the Board could have pushed Souness before he jumped. Cole said before the Fulham game that he would probably still be at Ewood if Souness had left in the Summer. they couldn't really, preivous to last season he got the team 6th in the legue, 10th with a cup and europe twice in respective years, and a promotion. Moyles was not sacked he came 17th and now is 3rd. so it may have been the right decision to sack him but it would have been very highly unlikely because of his track record and we won 5 out of the last 7 games of last season
-
I think that Souness embarrassed Matteo early season playing him in CM, left midfielder and then along side Amo, so he really didn't stand much of a chance, but he's doing ok now which is good to see
