  1. Two of my mates are going to the game tonight, & guess what?? they got me a ticket! after i said i wasn`t interested in going. Fair doo`s......i`m gonna go down & give womens football a look. You never know, i might enjoy it!
  2. I agree totally! Years ago, during crap games (which we have plenty of) the Blackburn End used to entertain themselves with good natured banter, bouncing up & down, "you are my sunshine", the east-side the west side. It was all great fun. I`ve got 3 nephews in their early teens, who think going to the Rovers is boring , cos they have to sit down & freeze their nads off. When i was their age, we at least had a laugh at the game. That`s 3 future season ticket holders that BRFC will probably never have, because the game is slowly being suffocated.
  3. If it was ANY other club in the world (except Bumley) i`d be sympathetic.....but as far as i`m concerned man ure (& their fans) can go & #### themselves with something sharp & spikey.......after all, they are THE most arrogant fans in the world.
  4. That magazine (about 7 posts back) is not called "slutz" is it? ...the woman`s head is in the way of the 3rd letter! If it is, then it`s a cracker!
  5. A most enjoyable evening indeed! Great to see alot of the old faces back...& also good to see the next generation. TUGAY was absolutely brilliant....a true showman! He was like the pied piper of hamlyn when he walked round the pitch after he came off. The kids were flocking down to the front & followed him to the exit. I`m glad the fans have buried the hatchet with SHEARER...after all, we`ll never see the likes of him again in a rovers shirt. Don`t know if this has been mentioned before on this thread, but on Rovers TV last night, they said something about the game being released on DVD.Hope it`s not too expensive though! LOL!!
  6. As Kevin Keegan almost said "I`m luvin`it, just luvin` it!" hahahahahha!! .....I personally don`t think much will change down at the "Budweiser Trafford Bowl" ... & once the fans get over the shock & anger, they will all settle down & carry on supporting the "Salford Fury Soccer Team" .....as Sir Alex Whiskey-nose once said "it`s a game of four quarters...."
  7. let`s have some of your ideas on here....... I`ll start..... (to the tune of "my old man`s a dustman").... "Oh Nelsen is the admiral, he comes from overseas, he loves to play for Rovers, but he can`t stand mushy peas!"
  8. Well said Roversmum!!!! I don`t know how small teams can have the nerve to compete for football prizes either! How dare 'little' Blackburn upset the applecart & get to a semi-final? How dare they spoil Tottenhams 'hoddle revolution'?? How dare they become champions of England in 95?? How can Mark Hughes dare to create a team of hard-working proffessional footballers who fight for every ball, play as a team & look to have a tremendous spirit?? .....on a similar note, imagine if 'little' Bolton upset everyone & capture the 4th champions league spot??.....& Everton get 5th, leaving the once mighty Liverpool sweating on a UEFA cup place or even the inter toto??? I`d p155 myself laughing if that happened!!!
  9. I know this is a newcastle/Souness related thread but after both semi-finals at cardiff, i am glad that i support Blackburn Rovers. At least our 'small town' 'bully boy' 'thug' (what-ever else has been said in the media) team showed commitment, passion & pride. Our fans went home dissapointed, but still proud of the fact we'had a go' at one of the finest teams (one of the 'big 3') of English football. I`ve said for many years...... You can always tell it`s spring when you see geordies crying on telly!
  10. I don`t give a flying f### what anybody thinks! I went to Cardiff, I`m proud of my team, & i`m proud of the fans who travelled there & outsung all those glory-hunters in the other end who sat on their hands for 80mins. BLACKBURN ROVERS, I`LL SUPPORT YOU EVERMORE
  11. Just got my tickets for me & the boy. Friday afternoon, 2.30 (ish) & there was a queue!! Only about 10 in it, but it`s still a bloody queue! ....Hopefully it`ll make some of you a little bit happier!
  12. Moose &Texan Rover .......are we the new Texan Blackburn Rovers Supporters Club? If not, i think you should be!
  13. .....oh how wrong you are! It just wouldn`t be springtime if you didn`t see geordies crying their eyes out on the telly after yet another humiliation. ....Infact, the first crying geordie i see, i`ll be straight onto the BBCnature 'springwatch' website & telling Bill Oddie
  14. ....beat me to it! I too heard the radio interview with Robbie, & i agree he put across his point very well. this will be in all the papers tomorrow. Lots of differing opinions on the rest of the phone-in (about Robbie`s call) most people praised his refreshing honest approach, also some calls slating his views (mainly from people in Birmingham, as the DJ pointed out) in my view? Well done Robbie! p.s.....on a more selfish note, Robbie`s retirement can only help to prolong his Rovers carreer.
  15. Howzabout something rabble-rousing & orchestral, like...... March of the Dambusters or Jerusalem ??
  16. .....Just out of interest, Has anybody actually approached the club about this?? I`d be all for a standing section.
  17. **Don`t quote me on the floodlights date/time period** (i made the date up ) ....all i can remember about the 'thread' was that the desperate knuckle-dragger claimed they had the lights before us & to them it is a cause for celebration! Here`s a question for you...... Q...What do Burnley fans do after they`ve won a trophy?? A...Switch off their 'playstations' & go to bed! haha!
  18. Funny that? I too have recently been banned fron the carrots mad message board. I`ve never been over the top or abusive on their site, but i have often teased them about their 'superior fans, team, ground etc....' ....looks like our inbred friends down the road can dish it out, but don`t like getting it back! (sniff!) One classic topic i latched on to was about "Burnley getting floodlights 1 whole year before Rovers in 1890-odd (or something!!) ....the bragging Dingle went on to say "At least we beat Blackburn at something!" ....All i said in my reply was "Now that`s getting pretty desperate intit? lol!" ...i got banned sad Yorkshire six-toed inbreds, canny take the pain
  19. Terrible shame regarding matty`s situation although i do tend to agree that he`s had time to make a comeback (2 yrs??) & has unfortunately not regained his old form. BRFC is a footballing business which is run on a tight budget. Alas fond memories & good feelings towards Matt Jansen cannot be allowed to blur the hard facts that he is now becoming a drain on resourses that could be better spent elsewhere. Good luck in the future Matt. You`ll always be loved by the Blackburn faithful!!
  20. My most hated people in football...... 1...Alex Ferguson 2...David Beckham 3...the entire German nation 4...El haj Diouf 5...Jimmy Hill *note....i did not mention Dingles, as i do not think they should come under 'football' as it may be mis-leading*
  21. I agree with the Abster! Beating the Dingles, must be worth a glimpse of the old camel toe!
  22. ....still proud of the Riverside last night! i may well consider going in there for the Leicester game.
  23. ....In the Riverside tonight, & boy did we rock the place!! Everyone was up on their feet, giving the inbreds what-for!! Can i apologise to the 3 quite attractive women sat behind me who had to endure 90 mins of drunken rude singing. to the Dingle on this board who said we were loud tonight.....yes we were, we were VERY loud!!....we were up for it!
  24. How about "Big Jugs international".......but best not read when wearing speedo`s
