The way the EFL hand down the points deductions is completely opaque. Justice should be seen to be done but it is clear it administers the "punishment" at a time that minimises the possibility of the EFL being sued by the offending club.

As it stands, if Tronstad becomes unavailable the centre midfield first choices are Forshaw and T G-H. Has there ever been a worse midfield in the club's history? And when Forshaw breaks down (as always) the back up is Montgomery (out till March) and Tavares (out till March at earliest and completely useless).

Not really. VI is part of the "project" to downsize the club (and more importantly the losses). Sacking him would cost money.

Recruitment has been dire since the summer of 2024. Useless players that have contributed little or nothing - Gueye, Kargbo, Woodrpw, Dennis, Tavares, De Neve, Henriksson Very mediocre (at best) players - Mcloughlin, T G-H, Cashin (too early to judge), Forshaw (frequently injured), Ribeiro (duplicates Pickering) OK but flawed - Miller(tries lacks quality), Morishita (skilful but v lightweiht), Baradji (lazy attitude) That just leaves Gudjohnsen (scores but does little else) and Alebiosu (effective still rough at the edges). And that motley crew replaced Szmodics,Travis, Brittain, Hyam,Batth, Weimann, Baker, Dolan,JRC, Leonard.

Hope so but I can't see him going voluntarily to forgo such a big pay-off.

I suspect he doesn't trust having only two centre backs because what's available to him is either shite(Mcloughlin/Cashin) or very inexperienced.

With two and a half years left on his contract I don't suppose he is. He knows Venkys won't want to pay the compensation but, if they do, he's laughing all the way to the bank.

He can't do the basics.

Forshaw would be more effective if very limited but then again he'd be injured before halftime.
