  1. Im gonna go (only cos im feeling guilty about missing the 1st game ), but im not exactly thrilled about the prices we r gonna have to pay. Saying that if could have course be Cardiff's fault, i dont suppose we will eever know? Presuming we beat cardiff, which we really should at ewood then maybe the prices can be slightly different for colchester. Who knows from there if we get the right draw we could be in the 1/4 finals. btw is the 6th rnd the same as 1/4 finals, i always get confused lol.
  2. Well played for starting this thread as i think he deserves a good deal of credit. Whilst of course knowing that he was playing pretty well for the last month, it was only when i concentrated more on his performance during the games at villa and nolob, 2 games in 4 days that i realised how well he is playing. Against notob, superb in the air and solid on the ground and agianst villa he was sensing danger before it happened. He also out musled the villa attack well. Give em a nu contract Hughes!
  3. Although b'ham fans saw Reid in what has been by far his best game in a blue and white shirt, not reaching that level performance since then, i take your point that Reid is the better player and i think most of us would prefer him. There was a time when Rovers fans thought that selling DJ was wrong, but he hasn't exactly up rooted trees at b'ham has he?
  4. I'd just thought i'd mention that saints and fulham drew 3-3 tonight which is an excellent result for us. This thread seems the best place for it without starting a new 1, as we are discussing recent prem action!!
  5. Can't that clown Bruce choke on his dinner or something, cos the rubbish he comes out with at times is amazing. The Savage issue at the mo, remind you of anyone Brucy, oh yeh your own good self trying to escape palace.
  6. Although the mileage is very similar (perhaps Blackburn might even be further away), but it actually takes half the time to get to Wrexham from blackburn compared to b'ham, around 1 hr 15 compared to 2hrs plus.
  7. Very good and important result, 1 which went pretty well un-noticed by the media as we were 1 of only 2 3pm kick offs, all the better for us though. The gap is now 6 points, and we have a better goal difference then most of the teams down there. What i like the most about BRFC in the last month or so, is the excellent defensive record we have had recently. Clean sheets against, everton, bolton, charlton and only a last minute winner for villa stopped us getting another. The wingers are key to this protecting the left and right backs. We must be careful not to get over confident about avoiding relegation as there is still much work to do. However it is looking better now, and hopefully some of our more senior players can have a rest against cardiff and give some of the others, like mgp, johnson, mceverly etc a chance.
  8. Anybody know how the ticket sales are going for this 1, i got 2 yesterday for the match. I predict a 1-1 draw and us going into the far more important game vs charlton with Reid scoring for us.
  9. A couple of Rovers fans started up a 'oh wanky wanky chant' and a couple of bolton fans went over and started something, there wer a couple of druken punches thrown, but the police were very quick to interven, so quick i almost got run over by a horse! Other than that i didnt see anything. Also a question. Bolton said they sold out all of their home seats. Why in that case were there constant gaps all over the place? I know people go out for some food or whatever, but that was riduclus.
  10. Wow, thats the most accurate prediction ive done in a long time. They were so predictable it was untrue, hughes got it spot on, played exactly the right centre back partnership for the game. I got the Rovers win right and dickov scoring and the fact our relegation rivals would do nowt, so on the whole good. Special praise must go to Matteo imo, who stood up to that diving **** diouf superbly ('hes gonna spit in a minute' lol). The team performed very well as unit and never looked like conceding a goal and the clean sheets are now starting to rack up. The atmosphere was superb from our fans y'sday singing for most of the match with only the stand to the right of us making any kind of Bolton noise. Chants like, gonna spit in a minute and the usual 1 paul dickov, emerton, emerton (to the tune of everton) were sung in full voice by the 3,000 Rovers fans who made the short journey. Bring on the Villa now.
  11. This is a really massive game for us. Not only is it a derby game which teams are always up for, i think its a great chance for 3 points. Notlob are starting to get found out with their continual long ball and i think our defenders are well equiped to deal with it, (see palace away, huge long balls from palace, 1 shot on target for them all game). We have a big away support which should give them the backing we need to get the 3 points. What also needs to get taken into consideration is the fact that all our relegation rivals have difficult games and must be presumed not to pick up many points. A Rovers win, not only gives us a slight gap, but also drags Bolton back into the mire and start them looking over their shoulders. I for 1 am really looking forward to this game and i predict, Bolton 1-2 Rovers Dicov and Bazza with the goals, in front of 28,000. C'mon the lads
  12. Sorry, i dont understand the Aussie sense of humour
  13. Are you having a laugh mate, Everton are bringing 7k+. Thats means around 12,000 Rovers fans for a non sky game at 3pm vs a fellow lancastrian team who are 2nd, dont think so sumhow. More like 27,000+ and i really looking forward to it.
  14. Ditto, anybody know?
  15. How many did we give Everton?
  16. Can we ask for a further allocation, after all we will give them up to 5k when they come to Ewood?
  17. Rovers should take as many tickets as possible. Have you had a look at the prices!! Only £16 for the terrace area and for the seats it can't be that much more expensive!! Excellent news as Cardiff are charging standard league prices which means we will get cheap tickets.
  18. I think our crowds have been very strange this season. We seem to have more Rovers fans at the games vs pompey and spurs rather than l'pool or united. Considering the crowds vs l'pool and united were 26k but there was 8K away fans that leaves 18,000 rovers fans. However, vs pompey the crowd was 20,500 and there was nowhere near 2,500 away fans, so that means more rovers fans turn up to pompey game rather then the big 2?! Same applies to spurs as the crowd was 22,000. Again around 2,000 away fans so there was 20k Rovers in the crowd, compared to only 18k vs l'pool or manure. Very weird imo.
  19. A dreadful game played out between 2 poor teams. We deserved a point out of the game, because to be honest Spurs really werent up to much themselves. Very frustrating, a point would have been so much better, keeps the run going and the momentum going. I thought Emo looked much better when he moved to the right hand side and really took on their left back. As for Tugay, yes he played well at Fulham, but as i, and many others feared he couldnt keep that level of performance up against Spurs. It was his lack of pace which led to the Spurs goal with brown breaking clear. 2 steps forward vs fulham and now 1 back vs spurs. Still, we are clear of the zone and must look towards the next game at Palace on sat. P.S Watching the pictures afterwards i really think the club needs to look at its pricing policy for the Jack Walker upper stand. There was huge gaps all over the place whereas the lower tier was full.
  20. Nah, we should take the whole away area, about 2,000 tickets. Anyway, its a reasonable draw, a ground most people havent been to and a chance go stand in terraces for the first time since i guess Craven Cottage was re-devoloped. Its a game we should win, Cardiff have had a really crap season so far and ive got a feeling this game wont catch the imagination of the Cardiff public too much and so i doubt it will sell out, so wont be anywhere as intimadating as when Leeds went there.
  21. I'd love a local away game against a lower league team. Loads of tickets, big following, nice day out at say Blackpool or Rochdale or Bury and a probable win.
  22. So are we going to be offered student price tickets then, cos according to the official site, there are only adults, children and oap tickets available?! Yes, I got confirmation the other day and have contacted Lee to ask why the website hasn't been updated. He is following up. The Football Supporters Federation are interested in ticketing at the moment, and I have been in discussion with them. Excellent, the website has now been updated, great work my friend!! All of a sudden going to Bolton sounds a hellova lot better, £24 or £21 rather than £35 which i think i will be taking up. Keep up the good work!
  23. So are we going to be offered student price tickets then, cos according to the official site, there are only adults, children and oap tickets available?!
  24. It better not be, i expect an allocation of around 3,500 for this game, cosidering its a bank hoilday christmas time fixture. Also, i hope that the prices are reasonable, ive heard maybe £38 which is a joke, around £25 for adults, £18 for students and £15 for children is the right kinda price in my opinion. Looking forward to that game, would love to put the Notlob in their place!! Ive just looked on the Notlob website and we are a catergory A game, which i think will mean £35 for adults, £24ish for students and £19 for kids.
  25. Yep, i was at the game and i still think what you wrote was crap.
