  1. Just got back from the game. Excellent battling performance to get the 3pts. The defence were great in keeping a clean sheet. Friedel produced a great save from Fuller (i think) which was dipping into the top corner but Friedel pushed it over. Our back four were great and really got stuck in despite 3 of the 4 being on yellow cards and also with 2 of them making their league debuts. I must add some praise to both of them for really adapting to the tough conditions as it seemed quite slippery out there and with them only just recently signing, they seemed to adapt to the game tempo with ease. MGP took his goal well, from where I was it was quite similar to the Cardiff goal he scored. Just a quick note to the Pompey fans... ha ha
  2. Is Chris Jericho touring with them as well or is he staying in America due to Wrestling?
  3. Anyone seeing Goldie Lookin' Chain on their tour soon? Seeing them in Southampton...cant wait as it should be a good laugh! You knows it!!
  4. Disgusting if thats the cost of the tickets. People are going to stay away anyway because its so early in the rounds but to charge that price for a replay between a struggling prem team and a struggling championship team then they obviously lack brain cells because hardly anyone will turn up! Personally a cost of £15 max would have been the right amount, not £9 on top of that!
  5. A few Rovers fans were singing songs and mentioning IRA...pretty stupid really as it had nothing to do with the game itself. They were just a sad group of kids who thought they were tough standing next to the Cardiff fans who were also a group of kids. To be honest, I dont think either team really troubled anyone near the end. We both had the ball and both showed that we couldnt do anything with the ball in the final part of the pitch. From the moment Cardiff equalised, it looked like that was gonna be it in terms of goals as neither team showed they had the firepower.
  6. Just got back from the game. It was a poor game in my opinion. Considering Cardiff are in the lower parts of The Championship, we matched them rather than out played them. There were hardly any shots on goal and the main play were either down the touchlines or around the penalty area but with no finished product. Dickov looked very tired, didnt seem like his usual hassling self, Matteo was rubbish. He fouled them, he mis-kicked and he couldnt pass or tackle. He really had a bad game. Felt Friedel was unlucky with their goal, he looked kinda suprised that it was in the back of the net and Pedersen scored with a good finish, however that was it from him, didn't see him for the rest of the game as he didn't seem like he wanted the ball as he made no effort to get it. Mokoena had a mixed game, he did some good tackles and looks promising but also didnt look too comfortable when going in the oppositions half. Its hard to say who was best because I felt as a team we were pretty poor, considering our recent form but I'm happy with a replay at Ewood, so i'm going to say Nissa, Todd for being solid at the back and Flitcroft for being his usual 'getting stuck in' self. Just want to mention the atmosphere. I enjoyed standing *hoooorrraaayy!!* at a football game without being told to sit down, however felt that there were more England songs than Blackburn songs at times which was stupid considering it was a Rovers v Cardiff game even though at the start it was amusing but after 5 minutes it got boring. When it was Rovers songs though, I felt we were great! I was a bit disappointed with the Cardiff fans though, I expected them to be singing throughout with an 'intense' atmosphere as described by a few Cardiff fans. Just want to mention that I am glad I am alive as I was travelling to the game sat next to an ex-Cardiff hooligan. He was very nice though and told me about all the peoples heads he's kicked in. He said he was also part of the Cardiff Skinheads, who I weren't sure were, as i've never heard of them before. Anyone know?
  7. Does anyone remember our very own Mark Hughes scoring a goal against Leeds United but it never counted? What happened was that Hughes fired the ball into the back of the goal at The Dell but it rebounded off the advertisment boards behind the goal and came back out of the goal and play continued. That happened 6 years ago and we've been fine without any kind of technology since then with only the rare crazy moment such as yesterdays 'goal' which has forced us to think about using video replays to review a situation.
  8. To be honest, i'd rather referees and assistant referees talk to the media about why they didn't give certain decisions than have video replays. I think they would get a lot more respect that way from players/staff and fans.
  9. Disgraceful wasnt it!!! Couldn't believe that wasn't given, surely video replays will be brought in even though controversy adds to why football is so great! Thats another point Manchester United shouldn't have this season! I remember a certain "3 minutes" at Ewood as well! Jammy gits!
  10. With the way Emerton and Thompson are playing, we will be mad to take them off!! 2nd half predictions, Stead to score, Rovers to win!
  11. Yep it does!! Infact, heres my girlfriend doing it!!
  12. Well im first dibs on the bit of terracing furthest away from the Cardiff fans then!!
  13. hey come on man, we've gotta wait ages for our next win! Show us a boob! I don't mean AMERICAN SHOW US YOUR BOOB! I meant...man as in...err..i give up
  14. Just ordered my ticket. 2hrs 30mins on the train direct to Cardiff Central...however from there I haven't a clue what to do! I'm guessing with a bit of research they will either be close to that station or they have a little station which runs from the main one. For those who have been before to Ninian Park, whats around the ground in terms of pubs, food places, things to do apart from run from the locals?
  15. With it our 3rd win of the season, I think its quite understandable that we get all excited!
  16. Remember that WHU Lass who gets her kit off every time they win, didn't we have one set up as well if we won??
  17. A bloody lass rang me up so I missed the excitement of hearing the final whistle after winning today! Excellent win for us and yet ANOTHER clean sheet. Surely our defence is now on par with the Italian defences!
  18. We need to remember that we have struggled in the past 2 seasons and bringing players like Savage in will just mean that Hughes is ready for battle and keep us in the premier league. Savage however has a good all round play and he could form a very good partnership with Ferguson. Both enjoy possession, both get from box to box and both are willing to give it their all. I also like the fact that a lot of signings from Hughes have been captains for either national teams or for club sides. This will hopefully be an advantage for us on the pitch as they must all have key qualities about their game for them to be made captains in the first place.
  19. I will sell you my ticket if you want
  20. Totally agree mate! I went to the first night and 'Ruled By Secrecy' was amazing. I haven't stopped listening to it since coming back. Before I heard the song live, I enjoyed it but now I can't stop playing it, I love it loads. It was the first time i've seen Muse live and the balloons and everything was amazing. I even saw him chuck his guitar in the crowd, so whoever got that was one lucky so and so! I thought The Zutons put in a good performance as well and the crowd really got into them. Was unsure who the first band was though, did you know?
  21. Just got back from seeing Muse at Earl's Court, London. It was amazing, probably one of the best live bands i've ever seen. They even had baloons coming down from the ceiling! hehe!
