  1. But ‘completely contrasting views to the way football should be played’ (or words to that effect). Doesn’t sound healthy to me. Of course no number 2 should be a walk over and he should be challenging Mowbray.
  2. Danny Graham gave that podcast interview recently where he said that Mowbray and Venus have completely contrasting views on the way football should be played and they’re like chalk and cheese. It’s stuff like that which goes a tiny way to explaining just some of the muddled thinking we consistently see on the pitch. Surely your back room staff are all singing from the same hymn sheet.
  3. I think Barnsley are going to roll us over quite comfortably on Wednesday. They should have beaten us at Ewood and after today they’ll be flying. The Mowbray death spiral is never done after two games either. Funnily enough too, I bet you won’t hear Mowbray confess how much rest we’ve had in comparison to them either.
  4. Seeing how good the Dingles are at set pieces is quite infuriating. Let’s not bother focussing on them though eh Tony.
  5. If Balaji is playing football manager again then surely even he isn’t stupid enough to play Gallagher on the wing every week. Nor right back. That’s 100% a Mowbray move - he played him on the wing in our relegation season too. Felt really sorry for Sam for the first time last night. He’s obviously a big confidence player and his is currently shot to absolute pieces. I hope he gave the bloke whose fault it is both barrels in the changing room.
  6. With the Chuckle Brothers at centre half you can’t blame him. Still can’t get over how bad the Everton lad was. The ultimate example of ‘gaining experience’ at our expense.
  7. Good piece from Sharpe: http://bit.ly/3tSWOcx If it weren’t for Covid he would have been hounded out of Brockhall again for that.
  8. If that was the case then he should have gone last season though.
  9. I refuse to believe it’s possible hearing this: IMO backs up that posters claim on here that he’s lost the ear of Pune.
  10. Geniunely intrigued - I certainly didn’t see it, but did he get off his chair once during the game that anyone saw? Something doesn’t smell right. Even if he does have the hump with the V’s, as we know all too well, it doesn’t mean they’ll put him out of his misery.
  11. It’s absolutely down to Mowbray and his coaching team to organise us from set pieces. The best managers get it right and reap the rewards. I’m fed up of seeing us concede from set pieces what feels like weekly while offering zero threat from ours. One goal scored all season from them and 9+ conceded. Tells you everything you need to know about our manager.
  12. 9 teams out of 10 who get promoted from this league play largely with a settled side and certainly a consistent formation. I’d argue that Mowbray doesn’t come close to knowing his best 11, let alone formation - as admitted by the man himself. We all know he could win 3 on the trot with a 4-4-2 and the same personnel and he’d end up buggering it up in the 4th match for fear of their left back running riot. He simply has to go - the chaos that ensued tonight proves that. Absolutely baffled how anyone can believe he should keep his position.
  13. Such a perfect time to replace Tony - makes so much sense to give a new guy the rest of the season to assess the squad. Too much sense for our owners though.
  14. So which is it: Madame and Blingy have given him the cold shoulder (as per an ITK on here) or he’s so safe that he just couldn’t care less. His body language is becoming an insult to every single Rovers fan. It’s fine if you’ve ran out of ideas and are getting bored Tony - managers have a short shelf life in football. But don’t drag us through the mire with you. Just please for the love of God - GO.
  15. I think any of us would struggle to name a more disorganised pile of horse sh*t than this. So extreme it’s been laughable at times. Surely he’s near to the end. Look at him - he does not care.
  16. I would genuinely wager that Mowbray doesn’t know. Given Mowbray’s body language he’s either: a) been given the cold shoulder by Madame so got the hump, or b) is so safe in his role that he simply does not care.
  17. How has Branthwaite not been pulled here? He’s been so so bad.
  18. I think giving Branthwaite a 2 for tonight’s performance would be a touch kind.
  19. You’ve hit the nail on the head. I think he’s a poor player but you’d understand his frustrations. How on Earth is he meant to succeed here?! His confidence must be absolutely shot.
  20. I can only assume Brereton has peed over TM’s lemon drizzle cake as he’s gone from undroppable to not being able to get a minute.
  21. Of course - City lad needs a few minutes even though we’re 2-1 down. It’s laughable now.
