  1. And he's easily better than what we have...Bentley could move inside-or even to the left.
  2. If Hughes is this keen how come we didn't get him in the summer? Pitty we can't get him before January if as appears Hughes has lost faith in some of our centre backs.
  3. As Dave just said we'd need quite some luck and effort to beat Utd without our key players. They're the form team in the prem right now and I just cannot see us getting close to them. Were struggling to score any-they're banging them in for fun and we're conceding too many whilst they boast the prem's tightest defence. If we're to have even half a chance I think that we need both Neil and Emo at full back-because Ronaldo (and even Giggs) will murder anyone else with their pace and trickery. But then again couldn't we do with one of those in central midfield? Either way it doesn't matter in the end: Rovers 0 Utd 3
  4. I dont udnerstand why some people are saying he's extremely pacey-and others saying he lacks pace to be a good striker. To me he has enough to get into the odd good position but he never looks like skinning a top class defender. Clearly this season we lack what Bellamy gave us-which was pace to beat defenders.
  5. I'd have to disagree about Benni and Nonda getting their partnership off to a tee. On Thursday for example Benny looked very annoyed with the lack of options that Shabani and the midfield were giving him and as a result kept coming back into deep midfield to pick up the ball. Although Shabani is quite powerful he was brought here as a goalscorer-of which he is yet to do. I just dont think the midfield and strikeforce are attacking well as a unit at all right now-and our lack of chances and goals in the league would back that up.
  6. Afraid Im just pointing out that we'll only be 3 points above the drop zone with two extremely hard games to come with half of our team out! Sky just showed Villa's penalty decision=what a joke.
  7. Utd up next as well. We could quite easily get dragged in to the bottom three if we're not careful.
  8. Hughes has said that Sav's injury is more two weeks-but lets just hope he isn't rushed back because I fear he will be if Moko continues as he has.
  9. Another night another injury. Good to see Shabani and Morten back but obviously this was tarnished with the month long injury to Sav. January really can't come fast enough.
  10. Feeling weirdly optimistic about this one-they've been poor of late as well...so: Villa 0 Rovers 1 Mokoena
  11. I thought Moko was worse than bad, he was awful- Tugay and a few others had to carry him. I have no idea what Hughsey will do on Saturday with Sav out?
  12. Much better in the last quarter of the game, and what a legend Tugay is. I doubted whether he could start tonight due to his age but he along with Ooijer and Zura (and of course Brad) were our best players tonight. The downsides tonight: we HAVE to play better in first halves because we could be dead and buried against quality opposition and surely Mokoena has proved that he cannot start a game despite Sav's new injury?
  13. Another non-first half performance from Rovers...that was utter garbage. I half wish those pictures had stayed off!! Even the players all look frustrated with one another
  14. Great signing-a very intelligent, skilful striker. I still think that there's room for his finishing to improve though-the Bolton game would be testament to that.
  15. Could be looking like the same 11 as we played at West Ham then... Really could be a last chance saloon for some of these boys if as we hope some of our injuries start to clear up.
  16. McCarthy and Jeffers looked like two strangers on Sunday, so getting Nonda up top with benni is a must if we are to progress.
  17. A reprieve for Micky Gray then?
  18. Bit worrying when were talking of protecting Franny Jeffers Lets just hope Nonda gets fit ASAP.
  19. It would appear that Mourinho has gone and made a tit out of himself again. He's accused Eidur Gudjhonson of diving since he joined Barca...now I could be wrong but I swear I've seen Drogba, Robben, Joe Cole and even captain marvel Terry taking the odd tumble in the past
  20. I do agree Pleasure, but the thing is you can practice and practice set pieces but it only takes one player in the 90 minutes to turn off for a split second and you're screwed-like we have been that has now cost us at least four points in the last three games.
  21. So has anyone found any gems yet? Im just past Christmas with Rovers and am around midtable having just signed Figo and Recoba. Neither are getting any younger but I'm in real need of some creativity to turn 0-0's into wins. My best players have probably been Nelsen who is an absoloute rock and Benni Mac has bagged a fair few. Yet again Spurs are overrated and seem to be on course for the title with Berbatov scoring a goal a game!
  22. Rovers.co.uk say that Roberts injury will keep him out for 3-4 months....similar time to Reidy and Nelsen then.
  23. I thought we were all saying that the injury problems on FM 2007 were exaggerated?!
  24. It's a recurring theme though with the odd game being the exception (ie Bolton). Whoever said the board really need to back Hughes in January couldn't be more spot on.
  25. Sky just showed we had close to 60% of the ball second half. Why is it that we dominate possesion EVERY game and never back this up with good chances that the possesion should provide? Roberts' Meta-tarsel Broken
