  1. I think your spot on Bobby. Like I said in another thread, Neil's situation in the team is definitely not benefting the club and I don't think Todd's is either. Think in your job if you were demoted for half a year and then called upon again because every other person was off ill you'd be livid. Get shot of both in January with obviously Neil first. BTW on a side note I read in one paper yesterday that Brad and Sav had a huge bust up after the game? Anybody see this?
  2. Emerton has done this at least twice now this season. Stick him on the blinking post so that he can't do any more dissapearing acts at marking.
  3. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?HLID=4...me&f=rss&clid=5 Nelsen back in training
  4. To be fair everyone keeps saying "Rovers must want to see him play though"...but it seems the more we hear this not being allowed to play story from different sources the more likely it is that this is actually the case.
  5. It may have just been me-but on Eurosport's coverage they showed the players doing a warm down and it appeared as if Benny was joking to Neil about the incident. It looked as if Benny was cupping his ears-kind of showing Neil this is what you should have done. Did anybody else see that?
  6. Fair enough-he gets into good positions though and with a McCarthy like player beside him could no doubt score more goals.
  7. I liked the look of that Kim guy last night. I think he could do a job in the Prem as he is lightening quick and looked good at playing on the shoulder of the defence (something we lack). Does anybody who watches French football know how much he would be valued at? A poor game of football-and I personally thought, like the Basle game, that we could have easily have fallen two or three behind. Given that we blooded a fair few youngsters though I wasn't holding out much hope for an improved performance from us. Finally, I too am puzzled at Hughes' comments again. We didn't deserve the win, although Nancy weren't great either, and his post match interviews are becoming a recurring theme. Fair enough blame our injuries and poor officiating but please don't make out that we're playing well when we're clearly not. Perhaps this is one of the reasons as to why people are poking fun at Hughes right now?
  8. Fear not...Nonda has stated that he is going to stay at Rovers for the whole season! http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...ying+the+course
  9. The Hammers have called a press conference for this afternoon to unveil Curbishley. Bad news as its a club below us who should be rejuvinated.
  10. This debate will be irrelevent when the Admiral is back
  11. Bucky I certainly agree with both examples that you've listed. How Tugay didn't get his ban overturned was a joke. However I think that the Henchoz one was more or less right (certainly at least a yellow) and didn't hold any hope of a reprieve. I think we would have all been pretty annoyed if it had been a striker of ours and their defender in the same situation and he hadnt have got sent off. As for consistency and us getting a break or two...well that's a different matter!
  12. This is one subject that I dont think anybody can back Hughes on. A silly decision and one that gets worse with every game that he wears it.
  13. Congrats Danlad-I hope Rovers can give you something extra to celebrate! I'm going to go for a 1-1 with Sav bagging one for us.
  14. This is probably bad news for us as they will no doubt get a better manager in. IF he does go surely a bet on Sven would be worth a tenner or so. Edit: As Circo just said...hes gone!
  15. Reverting to 4-5-1 would not doubt make us harder to beat. But question: If we were to fall behind could any one on here see us coming back from behind to win? I cant for the life of me see any goals in this team at all and that is the major worry. 4-5-1 would no doubt make the goal scoring problem even worse.
  16. Your sounding like Mark Hughes Eddie! That must be about the tenth game this season at least where we havent shown up first half. Its like the players need a rollicking from the gaffer to even start a match. We lost again, and the only reason we probably won't go down is because there are at least three awful teams who are worse than us in the league right now-although one of whom beat us on Tuesday.
  17. Dont worry Mokoena will be on in a minute to conserve what we have
  18. And who is going to score two goals pick32?! I think we would have more firepower with my Nan upfront. Looks like Rovers have again provided us all with another cracking weekend! Bottom three by Christmas is a cert.
  19. Although Ive predicted a defeat a win is so so important when you look at our fixtures. Looking at them we have Reading and Arsenal away next and then Liverpool at home. All three of these fixtures will see embarassing defeats if we play anything like we have of late.
  20. Just fear the worst right now and I think that even Hughes is getting concerned. Surely we should beat them at Ewood without Shearer though? Rovers 0 Newcastle 1-Sibierski
  21. No way should we place our hopes on getting out of danger on another Nonda or Yord coming in on loan. Strikers available on loan are usually available because they're not good enough (Smith perhaps aside). We need players who are going to fight for the club.
  22. Ooijer and co probably concur!
  23. Could the duo be any worse than Nonda or Gamst though ?! You know what Im saying though-a half decent footballer to compliment the pace would be preferable.
  24. We clearly lack pace and it's becoming more and more evident with each game that passes. Harry Redknapp was speaking a day or two ago and said that come January he's after 'pacey' players. Does anybody have suggestions on who we could possibly go for that fits the bill (price/availability etc)? I don't believe for one second that Hughes himself doesn't think that we lost our major weapon in Bellamy's pace and I would think and hope that he tries to rectify our lack of it come January. But as Redknapp and others will be snifing about it wont be easy.
