  1. Good to see that some others have grasped the reality of our situation. Unless we go on a run very soon it's beginning to look like three from Rotherham, Wigan, us and Forest. Derby, Cardiff and Wolves have more than enough about 'em to get out of trouble, whilst we're 5 and 7 points behind the pre-season fav's for the drop in Burton and Barnsley respectively. The writing is on the wall I'm afraid ladies and gents. I should know better but I can't believe that following yesterday's game some are peddling the line 'if we play like that for the rest of the season then we'll be fine'. Firstly, we won't play like that every week, and secondly we still bloody lost!
  2. We've barely played any of the big boys yet. With Villa and Cardiff certs to pull away in the coming days I just cannot see a way out for us.
  3. You can tell when the wee gem lies - his lips move.
  4. Following MK's result tonight can we just void our results for the remainder of the season? It's not fun for anyone right now.
  5. I completely agree that we must win on Tuesday but after watching Fulham today I can see it being a tall order. Dembele and McCormack will be licking their lips at the prospect of coming up against our powder puff pansies.
  6. 9 league games without a win. 3 goals scored in those 9 games. No clean sheet in 8. Terrible fixture list ahead. Our only consistent goal scorer sold. I for one would describe this as squeaky bum time.
  7. Lambert summed it up when he said mediocrity had been accepted for far too long at the club. Although results have been largely unimpressive since he joined it's refreshing to hear a manager be unhappy with draws.
  8. Dunn seems to rate Rankin-Costello very highly Parson. What's your take on him?
  9. I admire your confidence but I think we're all in agreement that we desperately need a league win. If this winless run keeps up for much longer than it will most definitely become squeaky bum time.
  10. Fantastic player. Loved watching him and I doubt we'll see another of his ilk in a Rovers shirt. Unplayable on his day and worth the entrance fee alone. Wish him well for the future.
  11. Mahoney needs to have a crack - can hardly do any worse than Taylor has on the flank the past couple of games. He seems to have two good feet, a trick or two, and most importantly, a goal or two in him. However, I doubt that our former academy manager will blood any of our youngsters.
  12. Damien Duff is the classic example there!
  13. Absolutely agreed, Den. Rhodes' all round game however is showing real signs of development to me.
  14. At least Bowyers defendants may now stop saying 'well it could be worse'.
  15. I wasn't sure who it came from first! As a big office fan I feel ashamed.
  16. To coin an Ian Holloway phrase, 'if we fell into a barrel full of boobs we'd come out sucking our thumb'. Unlucky and a lack of leadership leads to one thing. Only a real manager can get us out of this mess.
  17. The fat controller is the one you want to outlive. I'd happily water his flowers.
  18. Gaz has historically managed to get a win when the daggers have been out, so let's see how he fairs tomorrow. My bet is that without Rudy's 20+ goals we are well and truly up @#/? creek and bullet proof Gaz will continue in the role for as long as he wants it.
  19. I can't see him being potted either Glen, but I'm sure you've said before that he wasn't unsackable? What makes you so positive this time that he won't be if we're in the mire in several months time?
  20. From memory Marshall got 6, Conway 4 and Cairney 3. Certainly no regular scorers there. There's a huge onus on the midfielders to chip in this season but other than Marshall/Conway hitting similar numbers to last season you're hard pressed to look for others. Koita perhaps but it's a big ask. Gaz needs to give one of the centre mids freedom to push forward but he seems absolutely hellbent on not allowing them to do that. Crossing the halfway line or playing a forward pass is a sin.
  21. Bang on. I was going to write on here about how Gaz will likely get a result on Saturday, as he usually does when he's under a little pressure. That being said we need to remember that we're now 20 goals shy of where we were last season. It's a huge ask. Who is making up that shortfall? Delfouneso? Browny? Not a cat in hells chance. I'd wager they won't reach 5 between them all season. Very, very worrying. If that window slams shut and Rhodes has gone then we are goosed.
  22. I was thinking that a few of our lads will be useful next season in league one, but appears I was wrong!
  23. Good job we didn't risk them against Reading then eh.
  24. I sincerely hope these rumours have simply come around due to it being pantomime season. Judan bloody Ali. As some have said, it's been a couple months since Venkys dropped their most recent clanger, so we must be due. Bet Bowyer is licking his lips at the prospect. I want my name changed.
  25. Roma have started the season on fire in Serie A with Totti still pulling the strings at the grand old age of 38. It'd be fantastic if he could claim another scudetto before retiring.
