  1. Raya starting for Spain tonight. Ouch.
  2. Peru play Paraguay and Colombia are against Venezuela, so it’ll take a minor miracle for BBD and Chile to even make the play-off.
  3. This bloke is doing my head in now. What’s the betting he’ll get paid off in the summer as he still has a year on his deal.
  4. Massive blow for Darragh and us. We don’t have enough centre backs given Ayala decided his season ended in January.
  5. I don’t doubt it. But you didn’t mention Luton or Sheff Utd in your post and said Boro and Forest will likely finish above us. Just pointing out that those two (Luton/Sheff Utd) will very likely finish above us too.
  6. Doubt it’d just be the clubs you mentioned for the last spot then.
  7. You think Luton will miss out on play-offs then? Or Sheff Utd?
  8. Just saw that. Whilst I thought QPR would win, as above, they’ll miss out along with us.
  9. QPR will still likely win, but they have almost been as bad as us since February. IMO it’ll be one of Sheff Utd, Boro or Forest who go up. Us, QPR and to a lesser extent, Hudds are hitting the buffers when it matters.
  10. Whether people like it or not, one very, very average team (two if you fancy including Bournemouth) are going up. It’s gutting that it’s not going to be us.
  11. I kinda hope in true Venky’s style that they play silly buggers with his visit to India, so out of contract, TM takes matters into his own hands and clears off elsewhere.
  12. Yeah this grinds my gears every week. He forever talks as if the opposition have committed daylight robbery when we lose matches, yet, most weeks (there are of course exceptions) we’re creating just 1-2 really good chances per match. Like you say, we couldn’t have argued yesterday if we went in 4-0 down at HT yet he thinks bar for a brief spell that ‘we were on top’. He’s talking to the owners via the media IMO. Not that they’d even care to read up on us of course.
  13. We just need to keep everything crossed that by one way or another, he departs our club this summer. Enough is enough. There’s a reason why he’s one of the longest serving managers in the football league. Change is urgently needed.
  14. It’s always been the lack of culpability with TM that’s got to me. He’ll never put his hands up - not even for one of his famed death spirals - preferring to throw individuals under the bus (Raya, Nyambe et al), blame the ref, the quality of opposition left backs, poor budgets, injuries, covid - the list is endless.
  15. From a chap called Roger Whiteside on Twitter: Blackburn @rovers collapses, since returning from league one in 2017/18. 2018/19 - 8th to 16th, 1 win 9 losses in 11. 2019/20 - 7th to 11th. 3 wins in the last 13 games. 2020/21 - 8th to 17th, 1 win in 15. 2021/22 - 3rd to ?, 4 wins in 15 in 2022.
  16. His post match presser is going to turn me to the booze. I just know it.
  17. I do agree to an extent, but from memory he played in 5 or so games of this latest depressing death spiral. I think Mowbray just got completely found out at the turn of the year and that we’d only be marginally better off had BBD stayed fit. I’m also far from convinced BBD will ever have a half season like that again. But that’s irrelevant here.
  18. Yep. I’ve said it before, but Wigan away for me was where it all started. The alarm bells were ringing quietly. Then as the transfer window shut at the end of January, the fat lady was absolutely bellowing.
  19. Unforgivable result and performance, which for me, signifies that it’s game over for this season. What could have been, and I think we’ll be talking about the January transfer window for years to come. Time for Mowbray to walk off into the sunset. This simply cannot be allowed to go on past this season.
  20. From a Cov fan on Twitter (in response to the mods from here). Don’t forget that we hear the same from Boro and Celtic fans too: ‘It happened at cov (the season nosedive from Feb onwards) - made bizarre signings and playing ppl out of position - we had Stephen hunt playing at LB one week then on RW next game.’ In summary he’s just one odd, stubborn bloke. Time to shake hands and part ways this summer. His tenure has gone on for far too long.
  21. As I say, must be odds on favourite for us to be 9th as soon as the 3-4 teams behind us have caught up on their matches. So, so, infuriating what we’ve thrown away this season. I made a call on it a couple of weeks ago, but can’t say it enough, we’ll come good at the end of the season but it will be too little too late. It’s SO obvious.
  22. Season over for me that today, pal. Simply unforgivable by Mowbray and the players.
  23. Jesus Christ. You simply cannot miss those, no two ways about it. He’s bloody infuriating is Gallagher.
  24. Looking at the ‘live table’ Sheff Utd, QPR, Boro and Forest, will all go above us - in all likelihood - given games in hand (even with some wiggle room in a couple of cases should they slip up in one match). We’ll be 9th should that be the case.
  25. I don’t think we can afford it with Luton winning and Sheff Utd winning earlier. 4th from bottom, we need to be getting the 3 points. Coventry away next which will be far harder (I know the championship doesn’t work like this!).
