  1. Who is scoring our three (minimum) goals over the next three matches then? Three points, let alone nine, is not a done deal when we’ve scored one in eight.
  2. Dembele isn’t a striker either. He would have joined the wide forward club along with the countless others that we currently have on our books.
  3. Feels like I’ve been so caught up in the lack of goals that this latest death spiral hasn’t been front of mind. The one goal in eight quite obviously equates to one win in eight (3 in 12 and so forth). We thought the rot had stopped after QPR but this latest death spiral is rolling on.
  4. Pretty sure it was Buckley missing yet another absolute sitter.
  5. I don’t blame you. Fair play to anyone shelling out for a ticket at the minute knowing full well we sure as sh*t won’t be scoring.
  6. Updated: 3 goals in 12, 1 in the last 8 and no open play goal for 700+ minutes. It’s indefensible yet as above, nobody is bringing him to task on it.
  7. Well you need to practice them to be effective and Mowbray has admitted in the past that we don’t. On a side note whilst Hedges looked poor fair play to him for trying to have a couple of pops. No other bugger was even contemplating it.
  8. Such a pointless signing if you don’t have a Kieffer Moore up front. Whoever’s fault it is that we didn’t land a true striker in January - and it looks as though it’s Mowbray - should face a public flogging. No exaggeration to say it’s very likely going to cost us a premier league place.
  9. Furious with that tonight. Yet again we could play til Christmas and not score. ONE goal in EIGHT matches. ONE!!! FFS, it’s absolutely diabolical.
  10. No goals. Again. What a shock!! Just the one goal in 7.5 games now…
  11. Left footed Giles at RW and 6'4 Gallagher at LW according to Sharpe. Jesus wept.
  12. Indeed. How many more times can we keep saying "a point is okay"?! We need to start winning football matches, particularly against the teams just below us in the table. Must win tonight.
  13. It was only 2-3 weeks ago that Hedges was "the best player in training". Chats some waffle does Mowbray. If he'd had his way, Harrison Reed would still be "learning what is asked of him in the Rovers set-up" instead of dominating midfields at Fulham.
  14. Spot on. None of this ‘it’s not a bad point’ b*llocks if it happens (or worse) tonight. We need to win.
  15. Word is that Dack came through 90 mins against Salford today in a behind closed doors match, scoring twice and assisting the other in a 3-2 win. Got to get him back on the bench for Saturday.
  16. That's a huge miss. Without BBD he and Rothwell are about the only two who could produce something out of nothing. Even more difficult to see where a goal will come from.
  17. One in seven I’m afraid! I’d call it a ‘goal scoring crisis’ not ‘concerning’ unlike the media and many of our fans on social media.
  18. Mowbray clearly has us punching above expectation this season so deserves some slack but I can’t help but feel he’s getting a very easy ride from fans and the media with this barren goal scoring run. Yes, any team would miss their main goalscorer but to score just 3 times in 11 matches, 1 in the last seven and have no open play goal for 600+ minutes is ridiculously poor. It’s unacceptable but all we get is a shrug of the shoulders, and at best, a Bayes will ask ‘are you concerned by the lack of goals Tony?’. I was told by a ‘fan’ yesterday on Twitter to be happy with one shot on target: ‘what do you expect?’ More than that FFS! Recruitment, or lack of, has played a huge part (and we will likely argue about that for years to come), but Mowbray’s stubbornness to adapt the system, or work on a plan B, has cost us hugely since the turn of the year, and that cost could well be our play-off place.
  19. No goal from open play in 7 matches either. Got to be another record Tony has smashed right there.
  20. We clearly won’t catch up them given they have 4 games in hand, but fantastic to see Bournemouth losing. QPR nosediving a bit like us.
  21. TM on Zeefuik: “Deyo is struggling, he’s on crutches, we’re trying to get a boot on him, he’s struggling quite badly. “He can’t put his foot on the ground.” JRC at RWB for the foreseeable then. A pairing of him and Pickering at LWB has to be the slowest wing backs in the history of football.
  22. Football‘s a funny game but Bristol City will have won 2 out of 9 after today. I’ve seen enough of them given where I’m based to know they’re pretty dreadful.
  23. Bristol City are so terrible - down 2-0 at home to Birmingham. If we don’t beat them next Saturday then we don’t deserve to get top six.
  24. The pressure on Tuesday night is going to be huge come 5pm today. We simply have to win.
