  1. That's just fictitious speculation though. We can only go off what was said at the meeting, and what TM/Waggott have always said - that the owners are willing to give them money if it's needed. To take the view that the owners are withholding funding is once again insinuating our manager is an outright liar - which is odd as it's usually those who claim to support him no matter what making these remarks.
  2. Didn't Mowbray and Waggott say at the supporters group meeting that extra funding was available from the owners if they asked for it, but they chose not to?
  3. Awesome, make sure you've got plenty of pictures for us when you come back! I went to LA 7 years ago, really enjoyed it. Would have definitely been back if it wasn't so expensive to get there. How long are you there for?
  4. TM is at his best when his back is against the wall. Given license to overthink he muddies things, but when it has to be simple and lineup choices are limited he tends to produce good results. Our best runs of the season so far have been when injuries have largely necessitated a basic and practical approach. Unfortunate that it has to be this way as there's definitely a decent manager there in Mowbray, he's just prone to clouding his thoughts by trying to be too smart for his own good when given multiple options to pick from.
  5. Agreed, that's an awful comment.
  6. A few months ago I would have said yes, but after his extended run in the team pre-injury I doubt it. I believe the game he got injured was where he got his first assist of the season, and he hasn't scored any goals for us in the league this season. He was largely underwhelming during his run in the first team this season tbh, so I'm not banking on Rothwell bringing anything major to the table upon his return. Would love for him to prove me wrong though and have another storming run as he did towards the end of last season.
  7. I voted 'no' on the basis I don't think he'd come in as a no2 competing for the no1 spot (which I'd prefer) and I also think Brighton might set a high fee due to him being young and English. We could probably get better value for money abroad. With that said if he was willing to come in to compete with a more experienced keeper and if the fee was reasonable (no more than a million) then I'd change my vote to a yes. As it stands I don't think either of those scenarios are realistic, so I'm sticking with 'no' even though I accept his recent performances have been pretty good.
  8. Not sure to be honest - if we do then that would give us more leverage for sure.
  9. Well, exactly. I would imagine at this point he isn't going anywhere until the summer after next at the very least, as even after he returns to fitness it's going to be a case of seeing how the injury has affected his form. He'll be 28 already by then. If we haven't signed him up to a new contract by then he'll be free to leave the club, which may be considered an attractive option for Bradley and his agent as a PL club might be willing to take a punt on a free transfer as opposed to having to pay £10m+...
  10. Typical Rovers would be for us to get a decent result against Brentford then go and lose to Stoke and Swansea. If we come out of those three games with a good points haul then I think we can have genuine belief that something might have changed. It would be an incredible turnaround considering our injuries.
  11. Problem is if Woodgate is struggling with the current squad, you wonder how he'd cope next season with the better players in the squad potentially sold and in need of replacing. He'd need a very good transfer window to realistically progress. They might need somebody more experienced to deal with that.
  12. Noticed quite loud boos at the final whistle on the Quest highlights. If Boro have any ambition they need to accept Woodgate was a mistake and move on. I do wonder if Mowbray would interest them if we finish this season in good form.
  13. It's a ridiculous division. Also shows on the flip side you can't write any game off though or use "we couldn't expect to win that one" as an excuse. Anyone can beat anyone in this league, possibly more so than in any other season I can think of tbh. I don't think there are any standout teams in the Championship who should be feared.
  14. 13/14 season. We finished 8th on 70 points, two points off 6th. W18 D16 L12. Scored 70 Conceded 62, +8 GD.
  15. Tosin has all the technical attributes to be a top player, but his decision making isn't quite there yet which is basically why he's on loan with us. He can play some beautiful passes from the back, but alternatively he can play terrible passes which put us in danger. His tackling is sometimes spot on, other times not. Same with heading and marking. He's a work-in-progress, but if he can improve his decision making and focus he will be a top player.
  16. Fulham fans not too impressed with Scott Parker... https://www.friendsoffulham.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=75pbgimcf9q05p44u1f1v00hd4&topic=74641.0
  17. Dom looked okay when he played during our L1 season but nothing special - although he was almost always on the wing so much like Gallagher hard to judge as that clearly isn't his position. He's got a platform to build on now so let's hope he continues in this vein. Precisely why we shouldn't be looking to PL clubs for signings imo. Hopefully the European scouting network gets going in the summer as we'll get far better value abroad.
  18. The FFVII Remake opening has been released: As expected the graphics look incredible. Interesting to compare to the PS3 technical demo from the mid-2000s: And let's throw in the OG intro for the nostalgia feels:
  19. Which is ridiculous considering the gap in fee and wage between the two.
  20. Ipswich have nowhere near the squad we had tbf. Not a single player who could hold a candle to the likes of Mulgrew, Dack, Graham, Nyambe, Raya, Lenihan, etc. We had a squad that shouldn't even have gone down from the Championship let alone been in League 1. Ipswich totally bombed out of the Championship and are arguably at their level with their current squad. With that said a decent manager would definitely get them out of that division. Lambert with a lot to do in the next few months if he wants to be managing in the Championship again next season.
  21. Lambo's horror run at Ipswich comes to an end with a 4-1 smashing of Burton Albion. Other results didn't go their way today though so still 7th and outside of the playoffs.
  22. Well done Rovers. Another clean sheet, a solid result and by the looks of the stats a solid game all around. Couldn't ask for much more than that. We're once again in the kind of territory that historically leads to collapse, within reach of the playoffs, so let's see if we can push on this time. A lot of surprise results today with Brentford being held by Birmingham, Fulham beaten 3-0 at home by Barnsley (wtf?), Boro beaten by Luton at home Preston beaten by Millwall at home, and Reading beating Sheff Weds 3-0 away. Not a good day to play at home in this crazy league.
  23. Like most teams in this league they are just very inconsistent. Hard to find a genuinely consistent team in this division. WBA are the closest thing to it and even they have conceded 34 this season, more than anybody in the top five.
  24. Judging Maddison on a single game was pretty silly tbh. Armstrong had a number of stinkers at the beginning of the season, but look at him now - and he has a lot more Championship experience than Maddison. I don't think our decision to avoid him has anything to do with his talent. His personality just doesn't fit the profile that Mowbray desires.
