  1. norton is like a virus in its own right, the amount of crap it causes. who knows why its bundled with every computer. i've been running no AV software for a while now and have had no problems. but if you download stuff you should scan it before you run it. for this i use clamwin. apart from that just use a little common sense and be careful what you click and you should be ok. plus never use internet explorer. having used most AV programs that are out there, i think nod32 is my favourite as it uses very little system resources, but avg is great as well. and you can get a free version which is obviously a bonus.
  2. if you are using firefox as your web browser then you can rid of the gmail ads. install the customise google extension and you have the option to turn off the ads. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/743/
  3. just been looking at the bbc match report "2117: Peter Crouch is treading a fine line. He is all over Nikolce Novevski like a randy octopus and concedes a free-kick." interesting
  4. i have real money in pokerstars and pokerroom.com i dont think you can set up custom tables in pokerstars and i dont know about pokerroom.
  5. broadband is definately the way to go. if you dont download much then you won't have to worry about any usage allowances. you could go to many providers and not pay much more than you are paying now. you could probably even get a broadband service for less than you are paying now. adsl guide is a good place to start. i use uk online and i think they offer a basic package for 10 quid per month. i dont know the exact details on that deal, but you should be able to find someone that will throw in a free modem and not charge a connection fee
  6. just ordered it. cant really go wrong for 18 quid. ps, its reviewed in the latest episode of the mighty consolevania. go watch it!
  7. probably means you can get the commentary on the site. i watched some of the germany game on there and it was pretty poor really. the quality was bad, but just about watchable, except that it would stop every 30 seconds or so.
  8. shame my ps2 now refuses to read cds. but this looks good so i can borrow one.
  9. yeah. that was great. crouch has got to start in the world cup. he is better than rooney in my opinion.
  10. gerrard should have been off for 2 bookings. if a hungary player had done it the lines about the "cheating foreigners" would have come out. but it was glazed over. disgraceful.
  11. with the ps3 being so expensive, it gives microsoft even less incentive to drop the 360 price.
  12. i'm with ukonline at the moment. 2mb for £15 per month. uncapped. never had any problems so i have never needed to use it, but i hear that their customer service is awful. does anyone know of any providers that offer decent upload speeds?
  13. well i just bought a dreamcast for £19.50 including postage & 5 games. (Please don't use that word again) the ps3
  14. yeah they were all free transfers, but i dont think they were injured. weird.
  15. three players that i was trying to sign have all just retired on the same day. one was 18, one was 19, and the other was 24. anyone else experienced this?
  16. radio lancs commentator described tugays challenge as a potential career ender. doesnt really sound like him.
  17. anyone care to share their tactics? i usually use an attacking 442 with a few modifications but i think i could be getting more from my players
  18. whats with the german stuff? but bring on the uefa. i fancy eastern europe somewhere.........
  19. weird. my cracked version is sweet. but im pretty sick of it now.
  20. plenty of interest eh? looks like we could get something good going.
  21. so any progress? im guessing not! but it would be good if we could get some sort of tournament going. i know you all want to give me your hard earned ca$h.
