  1. if you just buy a wii (no bundle) it will come with one remote and one nunchuck. an additional remote costs about £25 and another nunchuck costs about £15 but not all games require the nunchuck. you can probably get a bundle that includes a couple of games and an extra remote and end up saving a little ca$h. as for the cables i don't think it's that important as the wii doesnt do HD. and you should have no problem with the router. if it's a wireless router you can connect the wii that way, it has wireless built in. or just run a cable, the xbox shouldnt cause any issues. i can't really say what games to get, because i haven't been able to play mine much thanks to my little bro being addicted to mario strikers online.
  2. i have mario strikers charged ordered as well. should be with me in a day or two. if you want to find your wii console code click the envelope icon in the bottom right of the wii menu, then click create message and then click address book. the code should be somewhere there, but if it takes you to your address book you might have to go a page to the left to find it. don't know why they made it so difficult to find.
  3. thats my console code. i think when you exchange console codes your mii characters can go into each others plaza. i don't have mario strikers charged but a friend has it and i've played it quite a bit. i'm not very good at it though so i usually get beat online. also the lag doesnt help but i think that's my fault because im playing wireless.
  4. anyone care to exchange codes? mario strikers charged is out next week and it will be the first game that can be played online. my code is 1296 9386 7144 7658.
  5. 1. get a few friends around 2. get a lot of alcohol 3. play wii bowling
  6. there's a guy who plays for wigan called ryan taylor. i used to watch him a couple of years ago week in week out when he was at tranmere and he was awesome, although it was in league one. he doesn't seem to be in the first team picture at wigan right now so i don't know what has happenned to him but i think he could really do it at prem level, and he must still be pretty young, maybe 22 or 23. sign him up i say.
  7. yeah it was only ever released in japan. but you don't need to understand japanese at all. there is a translation of the menus here. i also have elite beat agents which is more aimed at a western audience, but i don't think its anywhere near as good. it's full of cheesy crap like avril lavigne & the village people.
  8. just like to revive this thread to say that i have recently been playing osu! tatakae! ouendan and it is possibly the greatest game ever. buy it. that is all.
  9. both! i've finished the first season, and the injury situation wasn't that bad in the end. i just got and unlucky streak. i only just stayed up though and i'm really in need of a decent tactic.
  10. im in january and i'm struggling. about 14th. do you find that there are tons of injuries or is it just me?
  11. i've been playing as rovers on fm2007 and it seems to me that there are way too many injuries. it's rare that a game goes by without me picking up at least one. it's january now and im about 14th in the prem. not going too well. i got through the first uefa group though. galatasaray are next. crystal palace stole mark bowen to be their manager, but i got 1 mil compensation. anyone care to share their tactics because my slightly modified 442 just isn't doing the business
  12. norton is like a virus in its own right, the amount of crap it causes. who knows why its bundled with every computer. i've been running no AV software for a while now and have had no problems. but if you download stuff you should scan it before you run it. for this i use clamwin. apart from that just use a little common sense and be careful what you click and you should be ok. plus never use internet explorer. having used most AV programs that are out there, i think nod32 is my favourite as it uses very little system resources, but avg is great as well. and you can get a free version which is obviously a bonus.
  13. if you are using firefox as your web browser then you can rid of the gmail ads. install the customise google extension and you have the option to turn off the ads. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/743/
  14. just been looking at the bbc match report "2117: Peter Crouch is treading a fine line. He is all over Nikolce Novevski like a randy octopus and concedes a free-kick." interesting
  15. i have real money in pokerstars and pokerroom.com i dont think you can set up custom tables in pokerstars and i dont know about pokerroom.
  16. broadband is definately the way to go. if you dont download much then you won't have to worry about any usage allowances. you could go to many providers and not pay much more than you are paying now. you could probably even get a broadband service for less than you are paying now. adsl guide is a good place to start. i use uk online and i think they offer a basic package for 10 quid per month. i dont know the exact details on that deal, but you should be able to find someone that will throw in a free modem and not charge a connection fee
  17. just ordered it. cant really go wrong for 18 quid. ps, its reviewed in the latest episode of the mighty consolevania. go watch it!
  18. probably means you can get the commentary on the site. i watched some of the germany game on there and it was pretty poor really. the quality was bad, but just about watchable, except that it would stop every 30 seconds or so.
  19. anyone actually manage to watch on bbc site?
  20. shame my ps2 now refuses to read cds. but this looks good so i can borrow one.
