I was going to get a new desktop comp, but looking around i might go for a laptop instead because i really dont have alot of space, and there seems to be some decent ones around for pretty cheap. i realise i wont get as much for my money as i'm on a pretty tight budget, but any advice would be appreciated. the max i can spend is £700, but i'd like to spend less! heres a few i've been looking at. has anyone ever owned an acer laptop before? acer aspire 3614wlmi acer aspire 1642wlmi acer aspire 5024wlmi these acer folks seem to make a million different models and my brain hurts now. -

i'd like some peoples opinions as to whether this offers good value for money. i dont think the price includes a monitor, keyboard, mouse or speakers.

this may be a dumb question, and you may have to pm me the answer, but when people call him RFW what does that stand for? i could have a few guesses, but i've wondered for a while. -

i *still* think the best young right back around is ryan taylor of wigan. he isnt getting a lot of action at the moment thanks to chimbonda, but i can see him being a real star of the future. we should have got him last season and i doubt wigan would let him go now, but we could use a little cover at right back. i dont really think its acceptable to put a centreback there and hope for the best because these days your full backs have to offer something going forward. its a pretty specialised position -

he is on a performance related deal, so he is hardly breaking the bank. but why we have kept him at all is puzzling, because hughes seems very reluctant to play him. maybe people would "get over" him if he was actually given a chance and still didnt do anything. -
could be his final hours doctors say "prepare for the worst"

i dont think it is dependant upon where the invite comes from. when someone tries to sign up google knows what country they are in.

my first impressions of gmail are good. its funny to go on the main page and see your inbox growing. i think theyre right when they say you wont ever have to delete anything again. a question for anyone who has been using it for a while: how much spam do you get? in the past whenever i've used popular providers after a while i usually get loads of crap. and i circumvented the @googlemail.com thing @gmail.com seems somehow better, although im not sure why.

next stop celtic? you can sign free agents, right?

ok, i've had a play about on the site a bit over the last couple of days. just for play money though. you do have to open an account with the entire site and register a card before you can play poker with them (even the play money games). you also have to install their client software, but the registration and installation is very straight forward it could be a problem to get regular games going between just board members as there is no facility to create private tables and control who joins them. when i played, all of the play money tables were full and i had to join a waiting list and wait for about 10 minutes, but at any time there seems to be empty real money tables so it should be possible for everyone to get on the same table. regarding the software, its pretty much the same as any other poker site. i havent deposited any money with them, but i think they charge you a fee, which isnt great, but i'm not certain of this as i cant access the site at the moment thanks to web(non)sense.
