  1. impressive stuff. he does well not to damage his "equipment"
  2. if you climb all over someone and dont get the ball then it's a free kick
  3. its known as the "accomodate becks at any cost" formation.
  4. didn't really work with keegan though did it? i don't care about his nationality or passion. if he had any dignity he would offer his resignation. but then that should have happened a long time ago.
  5. i dont buy into this whole english manager thing. its not because he's foreign, he's just......................................................................................................................................crap.
  6. would be nice for sven to resign but we know he has no dignity, and england can't afford to sack him. great night though, who knew keith gillespie could still play football? and damien johnson was good also. well done northern ireland.
  7. scotland doing well. 1-0 up about 20 mins to go i think. but italy will score
  8. maybe not a player created from scratch, but there are lots of players in the game that have retired or moved to clubs that aren't are on the game or are just crap, so you can just edit their age, nationality appearance etc, and use them.
  9. yes you can. pedersen plays on the left wing for me. and i play eusabio up front with jansen
  10. did anyone else see lucas grab gardner by the balls? he wasn't best pleased
  11. so fifa has real team names. big deal. pro evo is a thousands times better. theres no comparison, you should give it a try. and they do have real teams, they just dont have the license to use the names of some teams, but they can be edited easily
  12. would be great to hear slayer booming out at ewood but its never going to happen
  13. interesting that that article mentions frank lampard as a player "respected by fans all over the country for both talent and humility on and off the pitch" people seem to forget that he broke xabi alonso's ankle last season with a nasty tackle, and i cant remember there being much uproar about it at the time. but everyone was outraged when robben got injured
  14. my feelings exactly. however i can give him a second (or maybe this is the 3rd, 4th, 5th or maybe more) chance. just hope he can get his feet on the ground and stop being a spoiled brat
  15. my everton supporting friends tell me that moyes was not willing break the whole pay structure of the club to sign parker, so it seems that parker's motives are mostly (if not entirely) financial. so here's hoping he has a miserable next season. i dont think his quotes mean alot either, because spurs were supposedly after him as well, and i thought he was a spurs fan?
  16. are there any non java-based sites where you can set up your own rooms? i know its hassle to download and install their client software, but in the long run they seem to be less effort to me. as soon as anything solid is sorted out i'll be happy to relieve everyone of their "money". it would be good if we could find a site where you can play real money, but for for micro stakes (like 5/10p) would add a little spice to things without breaking the bank
  17. i think most of what i wanted to say has already been said in this thread but i still cant believe we have let him leave. alot of people here seem to have very short memories, and i believe that this will eventually prove to be a big mistake. its easy to look at his record this (or is it last?) season and think that he has been a flop but he really isnt suited to playing up front alone. he may be tall but he isnt a physical player, and certainly not a target man. for the sake of a few hundred thousand £s short-term profit, we have let go someone who could possibly have led our attack for years to come. what is he, 22? ffs? and the second season is usually the hardest. all seems very short-sighted to me
  18. i went to the parade last night and the place was buzzing. i was right at the end and the bus got there a few hours later than scheduled. i cant imagine how much alcohol was consumed, but i wouldnt fancy being a street cleaner today.
  19. poker is pretty new to me but im definately up for another game some time. would be good if we could get a full table
  20. i certainly wont be playing for real money. ive already managed to lo se about $500 play money but whats funny is that i was a few hundred dollars up at one point beginners luck, eh
  21. you planning on playing for real, or just "play money" ?
  22. report from bolton official site SAM ALLARDYCE admitted Wanderers' victory was a 'very satisfying result' after Rovers had beaten his side at the Reebok Stadium earlier in the season. After watching El-Hadji Diouf grab the only goal of the game to make it three league wins on the trot, the Wanderers boss said: "It was a very, very satisfying result from our point of view. It was December the 28th when we got beat at the Reebok Stadium. It meant that we had lost three local derbies on the trot - Manchester City, Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers. It was a pretty torrid time at the end of that game for us, as a group. "Of course, we've worked very, very hard to turn it around since the West Brom comeback. From there it's began to flow and today was about keeping a clean-sheet, which we've managed to do for two games on the trot. "Now we have seemed to grasp that if we want to get where we want to go then clean sheets are the answer. Manchester United have turned their season around by it, Chelsea are winning the title with it and Arsenal are dropping down the league by it after conceding too many." funny how the editors forgot about diouf and nolan
  23. The ref was about 15-20 yrds back when Brad came out to close Diouf down and had 2/3 rovers players obstructing his view from where i was sat it looked like he was in great position to me, but maybe youre right. i'll wait til i see the re-runs tomorrow
  24. the ref was close for the pen, but he got it wrong
