  1. More likely £2.6 m. Obviously £26m is a ridiculous figure that makes no sense for a business with a £15m turnover and a £20m wage bill.
  2. This summer is too late to get the profit into the 23/24 accounts. The last big sale was Armstrong which went into the 21/22 accounts. Big losses in 22/23 and this season 23/24 so next summer 2025 would be too late unless sold before the end of the accounting period - a factor that buyers would use to their advantage.
  3. The funds won't be reinvested in buying established players because their wages are too high. Only players willing to accept a wage just a bit higher than League 1 levels will be incoming. That's the reality.
  4. The other side of that view is that Pickering and Carter injuries are like sending them out on loan - and Hill's already gone. None of the players highlighted are defenders.
  5. Venkys are building a squad for League 1 and below. It will cut their losses so it's not as unlikely as it might seem.
  6. Administration is the only way they'll be shifted. Also a sale conducted by the Administrator might just avoid some of the swindlers and chancers that Venkys themselves would be happy to do a deal with.
  7. He was relegated (and sacked) with a club in Holland.
  8. Even with a patched up defence that's pants even at full strength? Can see Steven Fletcher and James Mclean causing problems.
  9. It'll be League 1 if Szmodics is sold this month.
  10. Saxton had a mixed bag of signings. Ian Miller, Sellars and Gennoe all good. But Norman Bell and McKinnon rubbish. Jimmy Quinn came good after leaving.
  11. PNE lost £15m in the most recent accounts.
  12. But what about the players going out.....?
  13. No chance he'll come here.
  14. Probably come on and score the winner as he did for Watford.
  15. For now. QPR actually played pretty well and looked really dangerous after Smyth came on. Don't fancy Pickering against him in a couple of weks time when Chair will also be back operating on the other flank. No way are Rovers keeping a clean sheet with the current shambolic defending.
  16. Time for Tomasson to go otherwise relegation is nailed om. He clearly has no future at this club. But Venkys won't be able or willing to pay the compensation and Waggott /Broughton haven't the guts to make it happen. Desperately need experienced players to provide some organisation and backbone. Sadly that's not going to happen either.
  17. Won't want to come back here next season even if Tomasson is gone.
  18. He's right to be concerned about the remainder of the season and so should the fans. I struggle to see where 5 wins at least are coming from based on recent performances and a threadbare squad with only Szmodics as a regular goalscorer.
  19. The Indian authorities are notorious for moving at snails pace. It took them 10 years to identify the Neville mansion remittance scam. The club could be in the National League before they've concluded their investigations.
  20. His career track record shows him to be a football club undertaker. Charlton Coventry and Southend all heading to oblivion under his management before he rocked up here courtesy of his mate TM.
  21. And how long before he's injured again?
  22. Perhaps he's being lined up for a loan move. We can only hope as he contributes absolutely nothing.
  23. If that happens this season, relegation is a certainty. Doesn't mean it won't happen though....
  24. With us on L1 the way things are heading. Telalovic, Ennis and Leonard will also be better suited to that level.
