  1. Looks like Wharton had been watching Derek Williams heading technique.
  2. Gallagher has conceded possession every single time. Its like playing with 10. Also JRC is way out of depth at this level. Utterly clueless. Get Dolan on.
  3. He didn't want to come here. Can't do anything about that. Maja might have been a different story....
  4. Rovers are a mid-table team which had a purple patch - against some of the weakest teams such as Pboro/Brum- and is now "reverting to the mean". Time is up for Mowbray.
  5. He's a headless chicken. Poor ball control and lacks composure. Probably even worse than JRC at wing back - and that's not saying much. On his showings so far - and I doubt he'll improve - there's no way he should be signed to replace Nyambe.
  6. Really? A very low bar as Wharton looked League 1 standard this evening
  7. Ayala has to be better then Lenihan on recent form. Just needs to avoid injury (again).
  8. No way that there will be any interest in Lenihan from the PL this summer.
  9. Buckley looks like he's in Dreamland at times. Lacks awareness and is always back on his heels when a chance presents itself. No chance of PL clubs being interested in him until he shows more conviction.
  10. Forests performance levels against Cardiff and Leicester were poles apart. Depends which team turns up. Cardiff pressed really hard and just managed to stifle the Brennan/Spencer combination that wrecked Leicester.
  11. Gallagher is the only player in the entire squad who has a proper shot in his boots.
  12. Dack will take at least 2 months to get to full speed from the time he makes his first appearance. Gallagher gets better with every game he doesn't play. Where does Giles fit into this 3-5- 2 formation when Pickering's back?
  13. You're an optimist! Lose to Forest on Wednesday and its nailed on that a playoff place is gone.
  14. Wharton is the new Derek Williams when it comes to heading the ball like a 50p piece in the oppostion box.
  15. We'll be looking up at the play-ff places by the time we've played Fulham at the beginning of March. There is a lack of goalscorers in the team apart from Brereton - and even that has dried up. The "false 9" Buckley couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo. I've seen more powerful shots at my walking football. He never makes a run to gamble on a cross into the six yard box. Rothwell plays far too deep and frankly looks nothing like a Premier League player. The failure to bring in an established goalpoacher like Maja will see us failing to even make the playoffs.
  16. Buckley can be brainless at times. Should have been booked for needlessly kicking the ball away, appealing for a pen after diving and then a ridiculously casual attempt in front of an open goal.
  17. Just hope that this is not a replica of the 1980/81 season when virtually the only goal-provider in the squad, Noel Brotherston got a season-ending injury 2 days after the transfer deadline. In the remaining matches there were numerous 0-0 results and Rovers missed on promotion by a single point.
  18. Any significant absence for Brererton between now and the end of the season - potentially 23 matches including internationals - and its over. Failure to sign any striker with a physical presence shows a total lack of ambition and commonsense.
  19. That's Mowbray. Round pegs in square holes wherever possible.
  20. No chance of Ejaria. He's under contract until 2024 and Reading's wage levels are way higher hence their problems with FFP.
  21. Those figures are simply wrong because the total wage bill is at least double the £9m quoted.
  22. Bournemouth can dilly dally on the medical to reduce the time left for Rovers to spend the funds on a replacement.
  23. Rothwell has previously missed matches with a back injury so its not a foregone conclusion that he's pulling a fast one.
