  1. I think one three and four may be Alan Miller David may and graham Fenton. No idea about number two. Donis maybe
  2. I know when he comes back fit he should and will be back in The ten role. I just hope he comes back the same player with the same attitude. As for the rest of the team we have to hope we can keep hold of the better players. Once the loan deals expire and the Graham, smallwood, mulgrew, hopefully Dom Samuel all move out that leaves quite a list of players needed. what concerns me is this finding young gems and polishing them up mantra Tony always speaks about. If this is still the case then we are going to be heavily reliant on what we already have to produce week in week out. Factor in the mowbray bedding in period and I believe it’s going to be a case of mid table mediocrity at best. Then there is the concern he can’t get the deals over the line because players cost more than they did in the 90s. The same excuses will be used we couldn’t get the right lads in , won’t break the wage structure, it will take time to bed in the new lads in, they have to learn how we play . They need to learn the system (which going off yesterday’s performance was the same one Sam Allardyce implemented ). i fear it’s going to on be a long season. It’s going to be one step forward and two back......but we go again is going to be the new we gave it a right good go. I really hope I’m wrong . Believe me I do. I hope Tony has identified targets and has a clear vision of what is needed and has back up plans etc but with ffp looming and History suggests this is going to be the start of the steadied the ship period bowyer has to manage. never wanted to be called a doom monger and have you all throw it back in my face more but that’s what I see
  3. I’m just going to keep it simple. played Gallagher in his natural position....scored. Moved him to the right .......shite brereton was very good when he came on....in his natural position and was mom imo. Never thought I’d type that. disapointed with the result yet relieved to get a point. decent first half without being great up until the goal Graham looks finished , rothwell was inn effective and rightly subbed as was Dom. still dont understand what anyone sees in this lad on paper a point closer , in reality proof we don’t have what it takes .
  4. Let’s hope rothwell and Samuel have there crossing boots on and maybe just maybe play to sams strengths with Armstrong profiting from his work rate and aerial ability and hold up play. It’s probably the best we can hope for with the 11 named. I just can’t see Tony playing a 4-4-2
  5. I don’t know I think it could be very entertaining for all the wrong reasons (gulp)
  6. Samuel wing, Armstrong off Gallagher ? i hope it’s that. Best case scenario ?
  7. Ok. Any clues whose playing where
  8. Just seen the away fans sign instead of the historical pics. I don’t know what everyone’s moaning about . It compliments the bird shit and mould under jack walkers name perfectly
  9. It’s not that I expect it to be different more like a druggie having one last hit
  10. People started arguing if we had halved or quartered shirts mainly
  11. I agree. I think if we come away from Ewood after a bore fest draw or defeat then all my hope will evaporate and I will join the dead rubber train with OEB
  12. Walton nyambe Mulgrew tosin bell Davenport. Travis rothwell. Buckley. Armstrong Gallagher assuming Williams is still injured. If mulgrew can’t play for whatever reason I’d put nyambe at cb and play rankin Costello at rb assuming he’s fit
  13. Shearer and giggs are no brainers for the first two imo. i must admit cantona and le tissier came to mind after that. then I thought about Henry, vieira, gerrard, zola, terry bergkamp Adams and decided it was to hard and went for a bath ?
  14. Time and time again I said Armstrong is a good player but needs to be played up top. Armstrong has had a lot of grief over the last 18 months but now in his natural position is showing his worth. sam Gallagher is a good striker and it’s the same story. blame Tony for his failings
  15. Michael Keane, Alan Mahon. Ah didn’t read over three different decades
  16. Glad Gallagher is ahead of Samuel. Far better player
  17. I hope Gallagher up top and arma out wide coming inside picking up gallys knock downs and not the other way round. I think people need forget about chapman for the rest of this season as it’s clear Tony doesn’t fancy him
  18. Inter and Juventus is behind closed doors also due to the virus
  19. Who needs jack walker wen you’ve got the venkys ??
  20. I can see us drawing/losing to Wigan and getting beat at Luton but beating Leeds and getting a draw at West Brom. More the rovers way. Don’t forget Luton away last game of the season at a probably already relegated Luton side at there last ever game at kenilworth road and have already beaten us at Ewood, won’t be any easy game
  21. I remember not liking it and the time it took for the ref to go to the screens and watch being the main issue but the actual decision I don’t remember many being wrong. It was more about the length of the stoppages and if they could improve that then I thought quite a few people started to grow on them
  22. I really like that idea. I think times have changed and for every fan who wants safe standing another like the chadster wouldn’t. The last thing we want to do is risk losing more long serving fans. i don’t like the idea of safe standing in the riverside for the same reason plus it doesn’t create that suck the ball in the net feel. now mattys idea above wouldn’t disgruntle or inconvience anyone. It would solve the problem of the empty vs away fans behind the goal. It would create and improve the atmosphere by a mile, having banter with the away fans. It creates a novelty factor for the away fans as well as the possibility of offering reduced price tickets to potentially up the gate numbers and give more people the opportunity to afford to go I.e low income, 18-25s. Get the walk ons up and the young people in to create an atmosphere . Maybe extreme for little old rovers but fan culture is a big thing now. Get tiffos etc and create a feel good unity that has been missing for so long the way other European clubs do
