  1. Not a bad start with the ball either!
  2. Nah there's a very famous song with Carpenter in the title @windymiller7 so we would have been okay I think 😉 Culture Club - Church Of The Poison Mind
  3. Lancs racking up the runs at Kent. Congratulations to Luke Wood and Danny Lamb, both of whom have just scored their highest first class score.
  4. Animal Nightlife - Mr Solitaire
  5. Since when did Tony Mowbray deal in truth and fact? 😉
  6. @JacknOry you've just reminded me of another pet hate. People talking loudly on their phones while walking along the street - particularly on hands free. Its very discombobulating to say the least!
  7. Paul what you have described is pretty much what I was told would be happening at the end of the season. I was told this about half way through the death spiral by someone who I trust. Then there seemed to be a new urgency (I can't remember which defeat it was after, they are all blending into one now!) and the same person indicated that the termination was being brought forward, which is when I posted that info on here. I have no idea what happened (nor does he) but it sounds to me like they had a replacement in mind that fell through. Based on what I have been told previously, and his demeanour and statements in all recent interviews, I 100% believe that he will walk away at the end of the season.
  8. Yep, I know exactly what you mea AAARRRGGHHH what was that? Fuck, I didn't see that lamppost there!
  9. The Style Council - Internationalists
  10. RIP the author of that song Jim Steinman. Electric Light Orchestra - Wild West Hero
  11. Les McKeown, the lead singer of the Bay City Rollers has died at just 65. Bye bye baby
  12. Herman's Hermits - There's A Kind Of Hush
  13. The Skids - Into the Valley
  14. Take a bow. This absolutely nails it for me.
  15. Culture Club - Time (Clock of the Heart)
  16. Wet Wet Wet - Wishing I Was Lucky
  17. This has always baffled me Nick. Its hardly rocket science. Jack knew how to do it.
  18. Deniece Williams - Free
  19. I think KMD ended up that way, but he was still in his prime when we got him. At that point he had never been sacked as a manager and had literally just won trophy-upon-trophy in his previous job. That said, I think Mourinho would be as big a coup and make similar headlines. I also think he would play in the right way to get promoted. Not sure about Hughes, I absolutely loved him at Ewood as a player and even more so as a manager but they say you should never go back and I can't think of many instances where doing so has worked.
  20. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Purple Haze
  21. I moved to Glasgow just a few weeks after Rovers were crowned premier league champions, and lived there until about 4 years ago. I'm down near Largs in Ayrshire now. I still get to as many games as I can but not as frequently as when I was in Glasgow, when I could easily make it down and back on the train in a day. There used to be a fair few Rovers fans on that train as well, particularly in the prem days.
  22. Ha ha ha brilliant Nick, spat me brew out when I read this.
  23. Paul Weller - On Sunset
  24. He's still trying to get messages to the owners in every single interview he does. That doesn't suggest to me that he feels safe and I am still confident there'll be a parting of the ways.
