  3. The Special AKA - Free Nelson Mandela True story - I jumped on stage at my wedding in 1989 and sang this with the band just to wind up a guest on my wife's side who thought Mandela was nothing but a terrorist. Fast forward a couple of years and during Mandela's Long Walk to Freedom my mate Paddy (RIP) phoned my house and said "Hey oldjamfan, are you watching BBC News?" When I replied that I was, he said "They are only letting him out so you don't sing that fucking song again!"

  20. This made me laugh. I remember telling my sons about these sorts of chants a few years ago and one of them obviously decided to do some research and found a clip of an early 70s goal, scored by Tommy Hutchison for Coventry at Highbury (I think). When the ball hit the back of the net there was probably two seconds of absolute silence from the North Bank, followed immediately by 15,000 gooners singing "You're gonna get your fucking heads kicked in!". Was it Shilton that used to get "Does your wife know where you are?"
  21. The Jam - Dreams of Children (The flip side might have been slightly better known)
  22. The Jam - Time For Truth
  23. Paul Weller - Standing Out In the Universe Not one of his best, in truth.
