  1. Cilla Black - Step Inside Love
  2. John Martyn - I'd Rather Be the Devil
  3. Weller did a great cover of this a few years ago. Speaking of whom.... The Jam - Down In the Tube Station at Midnight
  4. Dack is the one with the brain, he would feed off Brereton’s miscontrols 😜
  5. Deacon Blue - Queen of the New Year
  6. Call me old fashioned but I would be playing Brereton and Dack up top if Armstrong is injured.
  7. Firstly, it is Brockhall. And we have had plenty of good young lads come through the academy since Dunn. I need go no further than Jones but we’ve also had Hoilett, Olsson, Hanley etc. If you think we are “correct in rearranging” the training set up please explain what makes it correct.
  8. The Jam - When You’re Young
  9. Bunny Wailer passed away at the age of 72 RIP 😢
  10. Thanks lads. I needed a laugh tonight. 52 years I’ve supported the Rovers and I didn’t actually know we were playing tonight until a few minutes ago.
  11. Surely not Tyrone? I thought Scousers were always the victims in life? Going back to Ian St John, he told a great story of when Shankly signed him. Shanks said "Two things son, score goals and don't lose your accent!".
  12. Prefab Sprout - Carnival 2000
  13. The Electric Light Orchestra - The Diary Of Horace Wimp
  14. I would have put money on him outliving Greavsie but hadn't realised he had also been ill. RIP The Saint, thanks for the memories.
  15. The Human League - Love Action (I Believe In Love)
  16. I would pitch it as around League 1 standard (old firm apart). Craig Conway is comfortably getting a game every week, and indeed helped to lift silverware at the weekend. That said, Magloire is playing well for 'Well at the moment, and he will hopefully benefit in the way that Wharton did during his loan spells. Edit: just seen there is a separate thread discussing this very topic.
  17. I suppose Blackpool could have refused to let him talk to Rovers if he was still their manager?
  18. Funkadelic - One Nation Under A Groove
  19. Doubt there would be a big loophole like that to enable clubs to wriggle out of paying compensation. Unless Derek Shaw was involved in drawing up the contract, obviously.
  20. Clarke is certainly not a Rangers fan, not that this matters. Kenny Dalglish and Jock Stein, two of Celtic's most famous sons, weren't originally Celtic fans. For the record Stevie is an Ayrshire lad and childhood Killie fan. I've heard a few rumours about sporting directors etc but the only thing that is certain is that a new CEO starts at the end of the season, Dom Mackay (not Don :))
  21. I'm guessing - 37,747 😁
  22. I think that is the plan. John Kennedy will look after things until then. Clarke knows his stock will never be as high as this again. There was also some talk of an approach to Benitez by Celtic. That would be an interesting appointment as well, given who the current Rangers manager is.
  23. Despite his history with them as a player I really can't see Celtic wanting Lambert as manager. His recent managerial credentials would suggest he's a busted flush. Steve Clarke will be the next permanent Celtic manager.
