  3. Bentley wasn't a bad loan either (first time round)
  4. The Blow Monkeys - The Day After You
  5. Curtis Mayfield - Freddie's Dead
  6. The Beatles - Free As a Bird
  7. Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Till the Morning Comes
  8. Agree with you on Williams Stuart but I think Mowbray has played enough young players in his time - perhaps more than any other manager I've seen at Ewood. There were two 17 year olds on the pitch for us on Wednesday night, just for example.
  9. Ocean Colour Scene - Charlie Brown Says
  10. Simon Garner was similar, a terrific crosser of the ball. Maybe its because him and Shearer knew exactly where a centre forward would want the ball delivered?
  11. Interestingly, having a cursory glance at social media just after the news of Paolo Rossi's death was announced, I didn't get the same sense of 'he was a cheat' that I did in the wake of Maradona's passing. Maybe it's because he didn't cheat against England? He had a fabulous World Cup in 1982 (once the group games were out of the way anyway, he was woeful prior to that) but if his original punishment for match fixing hadn't been commuted from 3 years to 2, he wouldn't even have been able to play in it. RIP.
  12. The Creation - Making Time
  13. Can't really add anything to RoverDom's excellent post, other than it has helped me to reconnect with ex football team mates, school friends and even extended family in a really positive way. The flip side of the same coin is that you do occasionally get people coming back into your life - in a virtual sense anyway - that you haven't seen in 30 years for a reason! I used Twitter a lot in my previous job, not so much these days, and also LinkedIn has proved useful on a couple of occasions, but its mainly BRFCS and Facebook for me.
  14. Paul Weller - You Do Something To Me
  15. Yeah I read that earlier. I’m not a Neil Lennon fan but I smiled at his quote in relation to Mowbray’s ‘project’ at Celtic. “Don’t talk to me about projects, that’s something my daughter would do at school” 😂😂😂
  16. We celebrated that draw at Tranmere like it was a win. Great day out as I think Leeds overtook United in the title race that day as well.
  17. Roni Size & Reprazent - Brown Paper Bag
  18. Could easily have picked The Jam's debut single here but instead I'll go for The Style Council - Long Hot Summer (same geezer but as far removed from In the City as you can probably get!)
  19. Anita Harris - Just Loving You
  20. King - Love and Pride
  21. They Might Be Giants - Birdhouse In Your Soul
  22. Tracy Chapman - Mountains Of Things
  23. I would have played under any of the managers of my life time - for nothing - just to have the immense honour of wearing that famous blue and white shirt. I think Big Sam would have made best use of my limited abilities though.
