  1. It is. That's why Ramprakash is not a person he should be working with. Hugely talented player but with fragile belief in himself at the highest (e.g. test) level. Agree that Cook would be a good mentor.
  2. There you go, that explains his dip in form then.
  3. John Martyn - Stormbringer
  4. Tony Burke - Sounds of Love and Violence
  5. Hue and Cry - Looking Out for Linda
  6. The Blow Monkeys - Celebrate (The Day After You)
  7. Very generous of you Tony to give all those books away. Isn’t it time you did your own? ? Patty has been working on his for quite some time now, I don’t know whether it will ever see the light of day tbh.
  8. Sounds like a Burnley family get-together.
  9. Gang of Four - Outside the Trains Don't Run on Time
  10. I don't really disagree with your 'continuous improvement' sentiment but both of these technical issues are general ones, and not really related specifically to conceding late goals. More often than not a shot round that wall into that corner isn't even on target, never mind nestling in the back of the net. It was a wonderful strike and pretty much unstoppable. As for giving the free kick away in the first place - yes, to be avoided where possible but it was still a soft decision I think. In the context of this thread I don't think the timing of that goal is an issue - I saw no evidence of us parking the bus - in fact if anything we didn't shore things up enough.
  11. The Boomtown Rats - Mary of the Fourth Form
  12. Sometimes you just have to say "well done" or "good strike" whether its the first minute or the last. If a Brazilian, or a Beckham, had taken that free kick, everyone would be raving about it. It was a world class strike. There's always a blame culture whenever a goal is conceded, it would appear.
  13. Paul Weller - You Do Something To Me
  14. Small Faces - Rollin Over
  15. Tim Buckley (Jeff’s dad) - Song to the Siren
  16. Damien Rice - My Favourite Faded Fantasy
  17. Lancs allowing Yorks back into the Roses match. Chasing anything over 150 will likely be tough for us at the moment. Well done Jimmy Anderson on becoming the most successful ever pace bowler in test cricket. The extra digit helps but it’s still a marvellous achievement despite that.
  18. Dexy's Midnight Runners - The Celtic Soul Brothers
  19. The Mamas and the Papas - Dream a Little Dream
  20. The Electric Light Orchestra - The Battle of Marston Moor
  21. The Electric Light Orchestra - Big Wheels
  22. Julie London - Cry Me a River
  23. Mott the Hoople - One of the Boys
  24. He diagnoses sense of humour bypasses as well apparently Vinjay ha ha!
  25. I did my ACL at the age of 16 and was never the same player again. I'm now mid 50s and my knee has started really playing up again. I went to the docs and told him my knee was really sore. He said "Its just age Andy" to which I replied "What a load of old bollocks doc, the other knee is the same age and there's bugger-all wrong with that one!"
