  1. I was lucky enough to see him, Neymar and Suarez all score in a 5-0 victory 4 years ago. Hope you have as good a night. Keep your phone and wallet safe though, bloody pickpockets are as good at what they do as Messi is at what he does!!
  2. Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants to Rule the World
  3. Almost certainly a record, yes
  4. The Beat - I'm Your Flag
  5. Talking Heads - Road to Nowhere
  6. Gil Scott Heron - Home is Where the Hatred Is
  7. As someone else said, its difficult to argue with this part of your post Merce, and with a slightly heavy heart I do think maybe we should make a change. Trouble is, do we trust 'them' to make a decent appointment........??
  8. That accent thing was spot on old lad, you are from fooking Yorkshire heh heh
  9. Posh twat ha ha ha
  10. That is stretching things a bit. I'm fairly certain he never kicked a ball for the first team or indeed got anywhere near it.
  11. What a ridiculous question (aimed at LET not you Mark). Only one method to judge which is the biggest and best club round here - pots! Blackburn Rovers, winning trophies before football was even played in Manchester and the most successful town team ever.
  12. I was lucky enough to meet him as well Tony via my dad, he was such a down to earth bloke. You would never ever believe he was a World Cup winner, he didn’t mention it once in the whole conversation. Just wanted to tell me how good Dougie, Ronnie and - ironically Picky were! Ah it’s been a sad week for losing the greats. RIP Gordon
  13. Paul Weller - Wake Up the Nation One of his more Jam-like solo songs
  14. Noonday Underground - Boy Like a Timebomb From Surface Noise, an album well worth listening to.
  15. I’m slightly reluctant to post this as there is no official confirmation as far as I know but I hear that Fred Pickering has passed away. RIP
  16. Goals for QPR either side of half time against Big Club mean that one of those classic come-backs from 4-0 down might be on!!
  17. Graham is the last player I would be thinking of taking off. We fall apart without him on the pitch.
  18. With respect put your brain into gear before posting stuff like this - some people would no doubt think we had actually scored!!!
  19. Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl
  20. Thanks Tony! Just brought my breakfast up! Kean out!!!
  21. As the poster who made what you perceive to be a ‘negative comment’ about MGP, let me elaborate. He was a very decent player for us but wouldn’t even be in my top 200 in terms of a hall of fame, so I was surprised to see him on the list above. I probably wouldn’t use the term ‘valiant’ to describe him either - I would save that one for the Keeleys, Hendrys, Gayles and Morans of the club.
  22. While I realise this is a largely subjective list, I'm not sure what qualifies MGP for inclusion?
  23. Of the choices, I went for Jimmy Brown and Jimmy Forrest for the sheer number of times they won the FA Cup; Tugay because he was a magnificent player, and Colin Hendry who - despite his brief sojourn to City - spanned the Full Members Cup and Premier League title teams. Personally I would add Henning Berg onto the list - Premier League and League Cup winner (the only one to feature in both).
  24. Deep Blue Something - Breakfast at Tiffany's
  25. I think Berg should be considered. He was the only player to win both the Premier League and the Worthington Cup. Hughes - Worthy cup winner and a simply fantastic manager for us so yes, definitely another worth considering.
