[Archived] The Worst Ever Rovers Player?
Norbert Rassragr replied to FourLaneBlue's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
I wonder if we can get a team going? From the Premier league era onwards, mine would be: Fettis Orr/Peacock/Dailly/Anderson Murphy/Grella/Etuhu Fowler/Varney/Brown I have probably forgotten many more worthy candidates, so there may be a 'better' team to be made. -

Especially if they end up with a gimp like Coyle or McClaren offering to do it on the cheap. -
Blubbing because they got caught, that's all. Typical bullies swaggering about when they're on top and then go to pieces when they get found out, and are standing with their pants down.
-
I hope they get stick when they return. Cricket Australia actually stood up to the issue.

Probably had a scouse agent. -
There's footage of Bancroft putting sugar into his pockets during the Ashes now. Let's declare all the results null and void https://wwos.nine.com.au/2018/03/26/11/19/cricket-australia-cameron-bancroft-footage-sugar-ashes-series None of this is surprising as Aussies have such a strong will to win at all costs someone is bound to cheat.
-
When your belly is over your shorts, you're not in any condition to fight a proper fight.
-
Now if they can extend the ban to cover the next Ashes, it'll be great. Smith and Warner are absolute whatevers, but they are very good batsmen.
-
Same old Aussies, always cheating. I bet you'd still hear the nasal whiny noise now if England did it during the Ashes. Both should be banned for a long time.

I think Westley has just more or less relegated my home town team, Barnet. Now Martin Allen has taken over for the 5th time. -

2010 was awful. The games were crap, and like you say those effing horns. They gave me a headache. The last tournament had some fantastic games, and yes I did love seeing Germany hammer Brazil. -

I'd not like to be the one scores the goal to knock Russia out. I think I'd practically go on hunger strike in case I get Polonium tea. -

Loving Wolves seemingly bottling it, even if it means Colin's Cardiff might be champions. -

I think the players will go, but fans will be advised not to. The FA and related authorities are cowards who'd be happy to go to any dodgy country if the money and prestige is there. -
I don't see it with Android Swift myself, she looks like a Tibetan Fox to me, and she is a money grubbing hack. And it might happen, though a lot depends on where Newcastle are, managers and owners' thoughts and asking price.

Yes, I didn't research the exact timing from Cellino to the other Italian (who may be a friend/puppet of Cellino at one point). Like I say Monk may be another Dowie/Bothroyd who had a good first few months and then become pundits or manager of the likes of Coventry, Grimsby or England. -

Monk is a funny one. He started off well at Swansea, then it went wrong. Then he got Leeds either to the play offs, or just outside, from a bad position, then it petered out (or was the crazy Italian owner in the mood to sack him?). Finally, he was very average at Boro. -

Who can resurrect Birmingham? They're almost as bad as Sunderland, and have been dire since Rowett was sacked. -
Well, the authorities are, and a section of fans who follow the Harry Redknapp route of refusing to ever think about learning from other sports or jobs that are not football.
-
This shows VAR shouldn't be used in football as the people who trial it, and use it are thick as mince. Takes too long, crowd are not informed. Football is too stupid to use it efficiently.

There would have been more attention if Anderson did a job on Man City like he did on us. I do not like agents having so much influence as all they do is take money out of the game, and cause disruption. I would not want Mendes, or Tony Blair's son, or whoever coming in and telling a new owner which players and managers we should sign. Their interests lie elsewhere, they will drain lots of money out the club and turn the club into a personal gravy train. -

Exactly what I think. Mendes and the Chinese guys only have to lose interest, and then it will go pop. And it also sounds like the set up is like us and Kentaro in 2010, but with more competence. One or two here were envious of Wolves and wished we had this lot running our club on a 3rd party method. The authorities will do nowt as they get the brown envelopes from the same sources and refuse to see any conflict of interest when the rich agents are involved. -
Barry was backing into the keeper on purpose though. So did he foul the keeper?
