  1. It is good to see England players without the baggage, of either being over hyped hollywood stars like Beckham, one last shot of success like many others in recent tournaments and just not been scarred by previous failures. They seem to turn up, try their best and get on with it.
  2. Don't encourage him Phil.
  3. I was a massive critic of the appointment of Southgate, because is stank of jobs for the boys, and he was pants at Boro. However he has done a lot better than capello and hodgson already, and by tomorrow he may have got the team to the quarter finals at least. Perhaps he has studied, and learned from previous errors. Time will tell.
  4. Exactly Tyrone. I'm a season ticket holder at Coventry rugby, and even at the equivalent of league 1 last season some of the tackles were forceful. And it's going to be even harder with the Tongans coming in this coming season.
  5. Force them to play rugby league when they do what Suarez did.
  6. The Belgranos threw the toys out the pram and started kicking the French when they realised they're being tonked.
  7. The FSB did go round all the hooligans' homes and told them to stay at home or else.
  8. Show me the money. I'd love such a striker to come, but I can't see it being given the green light seeing as we've just gone up.
  9. Not fussed about Dunn leaving. He's no Bradley Orr, but being a local and a fan can only count for so much.
  10. That sort of thing is controlled by Mexico now. Colombian drug makers work for them.
  11. Poland are the new England. Even the EDL types would be happy with that. Assuming Colombia can match their second half performance going forward, they're the team in that group I'd like England to avoid.
  12. I've always had time for Allardyce but I agree with this. Rooney, Cahill and co. would be in the team and the pace would be much slower.
  13. Colombia just scored. Every time I looked they were attacking.
  14. Possibly true, but in 1 game the younger team have done 3 times better than the last squad that had Gerrard, Rooney etc. It's a work in progress with this squad.
  15. It is nice to have an England team that isn't all about 1 or 2 players and is more of a team. Sure, if/when England get to the next round, it'll probably go wrong but compared to the last two world cups, there is more to look forward to.
  16. Having watched a clip from the Serbia game, I think the penalty area is a designated zone you can play rugby in this world cup. We should have brought in David Halaifonua on a residency clause to hammer opponents.
  17. Where is the money coming from to enact this plan?
  18. I had a feeling something would happen in the last few minutes. It had a lot of drama and nearly moments in the second half. Germany will probably be better off with Boateng suspended. He is poop.
  19. It's usually the sight of their sister with an Anne summers bag or so I've heard.
  20. About 20 looking at the pictures-too many. Using that logic, why have a ref? He/she is human and can make mistakes.
  21. In his heyday, We had Pallister, Adams, Bould, Keown, Steve Bould........and probably a few others. He was good enough, but he was in a period when England had loads of good central defenders. If only we could borrow a few a year ago and get them used to modern football.
  22. With VAR, this is an improvement on what we saw in our domestic game, but it is still a work in progress. It works pretty well in both codes of rugby, but you have rucks, tackles and so on.
  23. Just saw the Mpabbe goal. He's a French David Nugent. And the Aussie penalty? The ref must be a punk fan as he expects everyone to pogo like The Slits are on stage.
