  1. Sure but you have to gather we’re going to bring at least one CB in on loan, so we can rotate him later when we have alternatives. If he’s fit play him. He’s more than likely going to break down either way, so play him whilst we can and don’t have alternatives.
  2. Sometime you make a difference by cheering on your mates.
  3. I don’t think we can continue to play Dolan up top against the more physical direct sides, like Millwall. It’s too difficult for us to keep the ball when there’s no outlet. He’s a ball of energy and a real pest but with SG and BB wide, we have no ability to get up and out. Too bad BB and SG aren’t much better in the air than him. Hope Rothwell is ok, he had a strong match.
  4. Good result. We’re going to struggle against physical direct teams. Need to be better getting forward, moving Dolan out of the 9 role helped us get a hold up front better. Great to see Diaz scoring, would love to see his confidence grow.
  5. Chapman seems out of his level out there.
  6. Drab. We have no outlet up top. Diaz, SG and Dolan routinely beaten when we play it forward. Without any pressure up front, 0-0 is probably the best we could ask for. Without the high press from last week hard to see where the goals will come from.
  7. 2 matches in and we’ve been poor in the build up, squandered most of our chances, have been disorganized through the midfield, and outside of the high pressure against Swans, poor defensively. Provided Millwall don’t pass it to us in their third 15-20 times I don’t see us coming away with anything. 1-3 Millwall with Diaz getting our loan goal.
  8. Armstrong only scored 9 league goals in league one (Graham 14).
  9. Maybe we should hire a gaffer who used to play in back to help us sure up the line.
  10. Wish I was surprised by the outcome but I’m not. On the weekend we squandered 90% of our chances and did fuck all with the ball in possession. If we didn’t win it up front we had nothing to show, so naturally playing a side that wasn’t going to Dick around in back and give us 15 chances to score 2 we were going to struggle. league one here we come.
  11. When I try and download the app, it says the app is no longer available from either googleplay or Apple.
  12. This made me laugh. How rovers could line up Not a mention of him playing out of position…probably right back I’d guess
  13. I agree we need the money, but if we sold for 15M and 5.3 of that went to Newcastle and then we put 6 into Obafemi, what did we net from the it all? Less than 2 million and we lost our top scorer?
  14. I assume if we buy Obafemi for less than 5 million we'll have also given up a 40% sell on
  15. Maybe someone who is better at math than I am can help me figure this out. We reportedly have agreed to sell Armstrong from 15 million. We had paid 1.75 for him. That's a profit of 13,25, of which 40% is due to the Toons. So we net 7.95 but are going to turn around an buy Obefemi for 6 million. Does 1.75 million do anything to help our books? I'm not sure the point of sell Armstrong if all we net is 1.75 million quid. Surely that exchange doesn't help the books or make us a better side.
  16. What did we pay for SG? A “few quid”…just pay the asking price if you want a player right?
  17. I read his comments this morning and was shocked. They were total rubbish and his insistence on playing out of the back should have seen them concede 4 or 5. The first 20 min they had 70% possession but hadn’t gotten within 10 yards of the half way line. When they did beat the press they looked much more dangerous, but they spent as much time creating chances for us than getting forward. We also failed to create anything from our possession. Every opportunity we had came from winning it high up the pitch. We were not very clinical in the finish and quite poor in possession. Dolan provided no outlet when we won the ball in our half. Our only attack was our pressure. Not a tactic that will work every week, unless we can run against teams as poor as the Swans were
  18. Shocking really that Martin continued to have his side try and play it out of the back in the 2nd half. That tactic was always more likely to create chances for us than them. Should have just hoofed it long to beat the press.
  19. Or play it square. Not sure why you lift the ball if he’s trying to play bbd in
  20. 3 points is a great start! We have to be more clinical with the final output. Should have had 5 or 6 today. The ref was total shite too.
  21. And if we don’t win it high up the pitch we don’t look to be able to connect to work it forward.
  22. If we don’t win it high up the pitch we look disorganized in the middle. Much to easy once they break the press.
  23. Excellent press by Dolan. Swans making a real mess in the back
  24. Good first half. Excellent on the press, but have squandered too many chance. Should be 3 or 4. Dolan and Buckley have been dynamite pressing but both have been poor in giving us an outlet from the back. SG looked a donkey the first 10. Need to do better with the opportunities Swans are giving us.
