Thanks for some of the brief reports it is a relief to read some of the positive reports on here. Not Pro Dunn at all and was very leery of him coming back but to be fair to the lad he did have some really good games last season. Mmm, we have several players that were "not good enough" for their former teams and they seem to be doin OK at Ewood. So your statement SG194, are you saying then you have 100% trust in the Barcodes judgement of players? I am not saying we sign him, not advocating a duffers come home campaign, just saying we should not be so quick to rule it out without our own evaluation from our Manager and coaching staff. Definately worth a gamble, if the monies are OK. Could he be any more disappointing than MGP has been this season, could we rekindle some of what he has lost. The career destroying machine that is Chelsea FC screwed him up. They sign the best left winger in the country and immediately start playing him on the right, I see even at Newcastle, Duffers is on the right. I don't think he has LOST the ability to take on his man I think it was just coached out of him at Chelsea, now may just be a confidence thing. I was one who defended Souness almost until the end. On reflection I think a lot of that had to do with the Promotion and the Worthy cup win. His charisma also, I think, had me fooled too. The confidence with which he speaks is very alluring. His whole persona has a way of making you think he is something special, thankfully Fat Freddy fell into the same trap I did. Having had time to ponder and look over what he did my views have changed a bit.
