  1. Thanks Shaddy. Good finisher that lad but oh that injury. Bloody hell.
  2. Hah, well I could not resist, I had to see him in action and as I thought originally if it does not work leave it alone. But NO I googled I downloaded and it still does the same thing. Now I sit with total apprehension, what did I down load exactly. Oh to have grown up in the nerdy age.
  3. No, he played a couple of good through balls, one may not have quite come off. Was I dreaming??/
  4. Heh Heh, window as a hole, you crack me up Philly. As for the midfield, there are a few ifs that are going to decide that. If toogs can perform with any kind of reularity, if Bentley continues to improve, if Gally continues to impress, if MGP can actually become involved more. We get any 3 out of those four then I think we are in good shape in Midfield, if not could be difficult. Bentley look a lot more keenfrom what I have seen, he clearly is one of our most skillful players and whips in some great crosses, if this continues should be good. Gally laid a couple of Tugayesque though balls on against Chelsea, more of that we are in good shape.
  5. Yeah, my real player said it needed updates to play it but then could not find any. Think I'll just pass. Thanks for the info though herb
  6. My feelings, we did very well. Perhaps to many the quality of player we brought in did not live up their personal expectations but looking at the big picture some very good moves. I say this based on players in and out. Sparky has managed to offload some of the fringe players who were surely pulling down big bucks and replaced then for players more likely to play an effective role. Bellers leaving was a buggar and I'm a bit miffed Neill is still going to pull on the shirt, I would have rather taken the money. Overall pretty happy and interested to see how it goes.
  7. Good then it's not just my ineptitiude (that the right word?)
  8. Cute that, made me smile, even at 3:20am Please explain why the timing is "horrific"
  9. Is this true? Good price if it is, limited skills but a good honest footballer. Ok well a honest footballer, not many of the big mans ilk left. Good luck to Shefki, I liked him.
  10. Got music, no video?????
  11. Hasn't Pongo already signed a loan deal?
  12. RTM, It's bit like Bellamy's infamous "I'm in it for the long haul" speech. Footballers, it's the way they are these days.
  13. Just read a few comments, nice to see people are finally cottoning on to MGP. I thought Gally was far superior, some great passes. I liked Bentley today. I liked Brett today. The penalty ###### me off big time, especially since Chelsea hold just about EVERY opportunity they get and the infraction was nowhere near where the ball was going. I am not saying it was not a penalty but if you give that you MUST give the one at the other end about the 70th minute when they hold AND pull the shirt. I thought it was McCarthy being held and the ball was there to be played. New guy Ooyah had a rough game, think he may be alright once he adapts. We simply are not incisive enough yet going forward. Not too disappointed with our play, in fact quite pleased actually. Same old same old big team favouritism IMHO. I guess it's here to stay. PLeasing points for me, Bentley, Gally, Emerton, Neill and Brad still coming off his line better. MGP needs sitting.
  14. One of those being me.
  15. I think I won't be the only one fearing a backlash from Chelsea for them losing at the Riverside.
  16. Thanks TND, I'll cancel the gardening then.
  17. Didn't see the game or hear the game, same as Saturday. Reading what I read here I suppose I will do the gardening Sunday instead of watch the game. Are we looking THAT poor??? MGP, missing again? well knock me down with a feather. I'd have cashed in on him had we had a chance.
  18. Already mentioned this, I wonder what Alan Mahon was thinking, dumb dingles.
  19. Heh Heh. I'd be over joyed but for our result.
  20. Buggar, major downer. Two sent off. Apparentley not up for this game.
  21. I've harped on about your points 1 & 3 on several occasions and I think it is the only fair way, more NBA style than NFL though I think. The danger with that format is simple, if the money is not enough the players will simply go to a country where it is. The % of turnover thing is stupid and it is hugely unfair, it continues to give the big clubs the upper hand. The salary cap goes on the team, not the player so one team can still pay big salaries to several players but the must then be careful with the other. As the NBA does they have a luxury tax, you can exceed the Salary cap but a large percentage of what you go over is paid to the league. This could be sent to smaller clubs, grass roots football programs even. Having said all that, I took a great deal of enjoyment from Rovers season last, apart from the quality of our footy, simply because we are a little fish who dared to swim with the big ones, there is something special about a 'lil old Town team whupping the giants, Salary cap would perhaps make that aspect less enjoyable
  22. Boring? No Effing way, not most of the games. Perhaps the outcome of who wins the league is boring, but to watch, most of the time I think the footy is great. Let's not let them Refs and the FA cock it up, keep it full speed, bit of rough and tumble, deal harshly with the cheats. I saw some lower league highlights and I already see the World Cup flopping has caught on nicely there, let's not allow it to creep any further into our game. Let's have the rules the same for all sides also. I love it, after you watch a few games of other leagues you can see just how much the Prem stands out.
  23. So you've signed Jemal then? Good luck to him and to you, may he score the winner against the Dingles this week. Nah, make that a hat trick
  24. 'Arry blinked and missed it.
  25. What about Lampard to the bench, slide Gerrard to that spot and stick Lennon in.
