  1. What can I do from here Den. are you just looking for ideas, thoughts or what. I suppose I could trawl through the pages here. A Fiver for a family membership, good deal. Hey American can I adopt you, save a few quid. BRISA sounds like a fantastic idea, good luck.
  2. The Coyotes did a deal a while back it was per game, 4 tickets, 4 drinks, 4 Hot dogs $44. Not bad really
  3. I don't know if this has been brought up. Over here our local NBA team over the last few year has done a thing called a six pack. You could buy blocks of 6 games at dicounted prices usually with some additional incentive such as a free drink and sandwich. I think the games are pre set, in other words you can't pick and choose exactly which games you want but the blocks usually include one or more of the better games (on paper). Has something like this ever been considered, after season ticket sales the club would know which seats would be available and could sell them off at a cut rate, perhaps somewhere between match day and season ticket prices. Another ploy used by our Diamondbacks the Baseball (well sort of) team was the made a whole section of seats available for $1 every game, several hundred seats I think. They were not the greatest view but they got bums in 'em. Tickets were sold on the day of the game only. The thing was many fans having got to the game found the seats to be sold out and rather than waste a trip bought more expensive tickets and watched the game anyway. I am not convinced it is all ticket prices anyway. Apathy is rife when the pubs are open. Shut the pubs and make Ewood the only place in Blackburn where a beer is available, that 'll get 'em in.
  4. I am sickened by the suggestions that the Ethnics be given discounted tickets just to get them on Ewood, it's a disgusting idea. I mean haven't they been handed enough over the years. If they don't want to go, they don't want to go. If they do want to go then they can pay the same bloody price as everyone else. Jesus H effin Christ what are you lot thinking. Put the sandal on the other foot, imagine the uproar if one starting discounting tickets for white people. Get a bloody grip.
  5. I think that would just about sum it up. Just like Matt's ineffectiveness earlier in the year was blamed on the 10 people behind him. Yes he was good, yes he was exciting to watch but it's all gone now. We all should really move on. The club and Matty more so than us. It's been almost 4 years, the footballing instincts are lost and that is what made Jansen good. It's a crying shame it really is but that is that. You are right, good players never need excuses but blinkered fans do.
  6. And to think many many people on here were touting him as a managerial candidate for us.
  7. Interestingly enough, it seems Jansen, the longer he is out the better he was. Let's not forget but for promotion year and our first season back we have had nothing. For a long time when he first came many Rovers fan's despised him, including me. He had a break out year and I still hold a grudge against Erickson (never liked him anyway) for not taking Matty to Japan, he'd earned at least a squad slot and IMHO would have done a job for England that year. We lacked Matty's style big time. Now let's look at this realistically and stop all this who's worth how many ###### stuff. Next year will be another World Cup and FOUR YEARS since Matty's tragic career ending bike accident. That's four years. Now here is the bottom line, Paul Dickov plays regular first team Premiership football. Matt Jansen does not. I think that just about sums it up. It's not what who HAD it's about who HAS, isn't it?
  8. She must have got it wrong and upset someone, there's a bullet hole in 'er 'ead
  9. Interestingly enough take away Mike Riley's inept performance on Saturday and we have the SAME number of Yellow Cards
  10. Dom't know if any one has seen this but it made my blood boil when I read it. they just won't stop will they. Made me Mad Particularly the Blackburn verdict
  11. Was that that keepers name? I am sure after yesterday there will be more joining me in the Mike Riley "fan" club, never liked him he's a blatant cheat. I need to make an effigy today and get some pins.
  12. I've said it all before, it's not just been this season, it's been coming for some time but no one wanted to listen cos Brad was one of them untouchables. He's been great stopping shots but his fundamentals have always questionable to me, coming of the line, positioning for free kick, punching, narrowing the angle. It's not a blip, as his reflexes go he will not be making as many of the wonder saves he's awed us with, at that point he will be a less than average keeper. I also don't buy into the coaches being a problem, if anything Brad's coming off the line and narrowing of angles have actually improved slightly, that is due I think to the coaching.
  13. Well if I use Mourinho's logic I make it 5-1 to us. Terry not a penalty, bit of hand bags then Terry dives, watch it closely he even bends his knees to give himself a diving motion. Free kick, we gave that to them, Did Brad think it was a corner, why does he offer so much to shoot at all the time. It cost us at Anfield but it's nice to see people are finally catching on to Brad on here. Also a lucky deflection. I thought we did well, some of Rileys decisions were ludicrous, totally. Pederson get clattered free kick Chelsea, booked for a shoulder charge. The incident that got Hughes sent off there was little if not contact and I can see why Sparky was ######. Oh well, after 2-0 down I thought we were on a hiding to nothing, good spirit by the lads and some bloody nice football too. Keep this up and the only way is up. We simply must get bellamy a partner up front and someone who can get him the ball. Lost but proud.
  14. Oh yes, and I can just imagine the field day the press would have with that one!
  15. That's easy, anyone who does, has*, or will play for Burnley *All is forgiven if they pull on the famous Blue and White halves at a later date. Maradonna. Urs Mieir (or what ever). His name's slipped my mind now but the ineligable keeper who played a blinder, had to replay the match and played a blinder again. Cost us promotion. Was it Chesterfield's keeper. Maradonna Gerd Muller El Hadj Diouf Alpay And I'm none to fond of, Steve Bruce, Sullivan, hell Birmingham City for that matter, hated 'em since they took big Jim from us. Steve McClaren get's right up my nose. Mike Riley, The FA. Neil Warnock irritates me. I also despise Sven Goran Erickson. oh and did I mention Maradonna.
  16. I am VERY fussed that Charlton won, I feel a terrible backlash coming.
  17. To be fair Den perhaps you should have put McCarthy as not proven but fit enough to become proven. No problems with Bellamy's attitude(seemed to be most people's worry) or his ability, I wanted us to push the boat out for him before he went to Celtic. (Albeit before Fergie buggared off, I could see them two being huge together) Had I been given a straight choice at the beginning of the season I would have been torn, simply on the basis of Craig's history with injury. One way to end all speculation, let's go get McCarthy as well.
  18. True BRFC but beating them would be one very nice feather in the cap. Make some of the media choke a bit too. Perhaps if we did Chelsea would be just a small mention in the paper on Sunday. Bit like after we beat Man U I hear. After reading the pratts on the m/board link I can only say I would love it, just love if we could beat them.
  19. Wow, that's quite impressive, how many from Leeds. Sounds like a decent effort from the lads, not bad for a bunch of bully boys from the backwoods of Lancashire. Bonus, the ORIGINAL clarrot and blues beat their copycats. Nice.
  20. Why is our game not even on the Sky Live Scores centre
  21. I'd like to see us Jekyll and Hyde this one. Come out lined up 4-5-1 and be physical for the first 15 or so, just to plant it in their heads. Then flip the switch and have a real go at 'em. The key here to me is Bellamy, he has to be fit and we have to find a way to feed him the ball to break through the Chelsea rearguard. If we can do that I think we have a chance. My biggest worry is that the Admiral is not going to be there to steady the ship at the back and I think that will cost us.
  22. I would love to see Jansen and Bellamy up front. It could just work.
