  1. I thought Charlton played very well, good passing, constant danger with very good through balls to their front men. Sam was very good, don't look like a side destined to go down on that performance. One more thought on Nonda, it could be worse, we could have spent almost 30 mil on Schevchenko(sp). Nonda's giving up the ghost infuriates me as, I hope it does Hughes too.
  2. Nonda should not play for us again based on that showing. If he is not prepared to put in the effort then sit him down. Lazy, lost the ball to a Charlton player and dropped his arms by his side and gave up, the Charlton player was well with in reach. No need for Henchoz to give up the free kick in the first place, only Neill had any clue what was going on but he did not spot it till too late. I saw where they were going to put it from my couch. Passing was woeful tonight, we were poor overall and did not deserve anything from the game. On to Newcastle, we need 3 points from that cos Reading will surely give us a hiding. Looks like Bert will be out long term. We'd have lost by at least 4 but for Brad anyway, he was immense tonight. Do you just copy and paste this crapola, if not you might want to, save you sometime
  3. Mmmm. Good thought s Colin. I really hope I did not open a can of worms here. I had no idea there would be any real issues, suppose I did not think it through but then again it was an impulse from the heart so..... I guess I had an idealistic image on my mind of dad off to the footy and little Jimmy (or Jimmyette) being left behind, or little Jimmy's(ette's) best mate and his Dad off to watch and the poor sod is left behind. Helping someone like that was my thought. Hopefully someting like that can be acheived, if not then surely a child at Ewood who would otherwise stayed at hope is fine. I don't know, I'm rambling a bit, hope it does not get too complex, it's why I asked for ideas. Nah! that's MR Ed, silly.
  4. Not sure, names in a hat sounds like a pretty level playing field. Got any ideas? Be happy to hear 'em. Who's Ed?
  5. Unlike yourself and your Dodgers, I have been to Ewood and did for many years and all over England watching us. Sorry to hear about your Dodger problem though. Always at least one isn't there! I was seriously considering taking you up on the Europe thing but then I thought how could I be so generous to someone who can't even spell the word, so I ruled you out.
  6. Me too, I kinda miss him.
  7. I got a message saying that the browser was not supported, see one of Lee's thereads. That's what I was on about.
  8. Thanks for the kind words, I can't claim for it to be all my idea. Just want to do something in the spirit of Christmas (can I still use that word) for a young fan who wants to go but can't Sounds like a plan my friend. Gotta just love this internet thingy.
  9. Can we have a little moan about MGP then?
  10. Thanks for that, downloaded and used it for RW worked great.
  11. What about a cheeky loan bid for Defoe, apparently he's on the fringes again at Tottenham.
  12. I worked with a fella in the 70's was a huge Rovers fan, loved 'em but that was it for him he never set foot in Ewood again. You could see the sparkle in his eyes when he talked about Douglas and co, almost like a dreamy far away look. Evetually he would snap back mutter some unkind words and continue on with his work. I was too young at the time but the scars left by that ticket shambles clearly ran deep.
  13. 3 and 3 for me too. It's about time we carried on our halves to our away strip.
  14. On the half season ticket thing. Some regulars at Ewood who visit this board have, in the past, displayed a certain amount of disrespect to some of us overseas fans, questioning our layalty to the club we grew up supporting. Insulting us because we do not do "anything" financial to help the club. (incorrect I think) It has been suggested in the past, by Waggy the message boards answer to Jimmy Hoffa that we donate a season ticket. Ridiculous I know, it's like asking Abby to buy a Broncos season ticket. However this half season ticket thing has got me thinking, I can afford the kiddies ticket 49 quid is it? So here's the rub, I wish to donate one kiddies half season ticket to a young Rovers fan. I need the boards help in getting this done. I do not know how to handle it, I am tempted to ask for submissions for a needy family who's boy or girl could attend but also though of the idea of perhaps having a raffle for it. Proceeds could then be donated to the upkeep of the messageboard. I would also need help to pay for this, Paypal seems to be convenient. So, let's throw around a few ideas and get this done in time for Xmas so some young Rovers fan can have a gift that will last and get the rugrat to games he or she may not have been able to otherwise attend, or raffle it off. BTW it's not a lot of money so anyone else care to match my offer. One thought, if we go with the needy rather than raffle one could submit names to me and I could pick one out of a hat. Please, let's keep this legit, no scammers please. Also Mods if you see fit to pin this go ahead.
  15. Great stuff again Mr Fleming, I don't know what you do for a living but whatever it is you're in the wrong business.
  16. Sold. Roman better be careful he might lose his arm, cos I for one would snatch it right off for that sort of offer
  17. Naah, been there done that. I mean the buggars might score again and we'd have to go through all that "the gap is closing" malarky again.
  18. Shaun Wright Phillips here? More chance of Beckham coming. Our need in that area is not great enough to splash that kind of cash.
  19. Normally one of the eternal pessimist when it comes to rovers, just like Jim mentioned. However, for some reason, I am not in the least concerned. Could be stupid of me I know but I just feel this team has the ability to finish comfortably mid table, and before anyone asks, yes that will do for me.
  20. Yeah, now that's what I call a real game. BTW hope your cold gets better
  21. And that is relative how? Absolute fortune? he played bloody MLS until two seasons ago. Do some people just look for stuff to have a dig about. I really hope it is not too serious, just about became my favourite player. Not seen a Defender of that quality for a long time at Ewood.
  22. But that came from a lady in New Zealand, you are our pleasure. They don't make ###### up in New Zealand you know Yeah Ooyah looking better and better, I don't see many on here holding there hands up, you know who you are the ones that had him as useless when he'd played only a few games.
  23. Did anyone interview the bus driver? was he a dingle?
  24. When I saw the ref going for his pocket after talking with the linesman I thought he was going to do exactly that. Well my thoughts were he was going to yellow card him for a dive. Looked at it time and again I still don't see any real contact. I had already mention, definate stitch up by the FA on the appeal, trying to make some form of point. We'll see in the coming weekends just how many get away with worse. Especially if they are, Arsenal, cChelsea, Man U, L'pool. Or of course anyone playing us.
