  1. For sure! And before anyone says we are looking at past players through gimmer-rimmed rose tinted specs, Mick Heaton could have played our current first team squad single handed, and beaten ten balls of sh1t out of the lot of em, just with his attitude and gumption. Sounds like an idea for a gloom lifting thread coming on - smallest players to play for Rovers' first 11... Andy (I'll knee you in your bollox when you're 90) Crawford springs to mind - all 3'7" of him ...
  2. Looks like the current Ewood pitch, only a bit better. Mick Heaton. Mighty dynamo - about 5'3" at full stretch.. Faz looking suitably shocked...
  3. Maybe this whole thing is a wind up by some knuckle-dragging six fingered WUM with too much time on their hands after all?? I'm sure there are claret and blue squatters amongst Brockhall's finest.. 😆
  4. There's an easy answer to this - they aren't! And there will never be any attempt to do so, because the whole thing is a crock, a scam, a blatant attempt to sell off assets and to downgrade the whole operation at Blackburn Rovers - because they (whoever 'they' are behind the scenes) can, as things stand 😞
  5. A 23 year old just took on Sunderland... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/feb/18/efl-confirms-takeover-of-sunderland-by-23-year-old-frenchman-louis-dreyfus
  6. And as we all know, it isn't the words that someone speaks that are most significant, but the actions they take. (or in-action in the Gurnmeister from Billingham's case).
  7. We might feel like it, but it may be more productive to bombard him via: Rovers Reporter @richsharpe89 richard.sharpe@nqnw.co.uk 01254 298243
  8. What is the best way to get hold of Sharpe?
  9. Previously a resident at Brockhall, I believe 😉 Used to go by the name of Dr Dunkerley, or sometimes Jimmy O'Brien, back in the early 1980s when I worked there..I blame Maggie Thatcher for forcing him out into community care, so those greedy little chumocracy drillers could get their grubby mitts on the land around Jasmine and Begonia wards..
  10. What a CV. What a crock. And because the inept ones of Pune have allowed the heart of the club to be hollowed out, there is no-one on the ground level at Blackburn Rovers to question the intent and actions of yet another bunch of charlatans seeking to pick the bones of our club clean. Nobody, to challenge the nobodies who would answer to no-one until there is nothing left.....
  11. “The redevelopment of the Junior Training Centre site is an opportunity to provide new high quality indoor sport facilities that would benefit the Blackburn Rovers Football and Athletic and the people of Brockhall Village as a whole” Oh yes, I can just see how the people of Brockhall Village would benefit.. erm.. Err... Doh! No I can't!
  12. Ifyou haven't already joined, do get on over to the Rovers Trust web pages folks, and sign up for membership - £10 for adults / £5 for juniors - it may be one of the best investments you can make in the future of our club! https://www.roverstrust.com/
  13. You know and I know, cupcake, that Tony Mowbray will not be sacked. There is no one at the club in a position to do that. Blind optimism and fantasy speculation won't change that. However, the assault of Jack's Legacy continues, apparently unabated, in the background. Not acknowledging the serious implications of that seems to me a clear case of 'fiddling whilst Rome burns'.
  14. Are you having a LAUGH? This 'training pitch issue' ??? ARE YOU HAVING A GODDAM GIRAFFE? It is an Existential Crisis for this club. Nothing less. Methinks you just let your colours slip there pal. 'Training pitch issue..." Pah!
  15. like I said earlier, the real game is going on down in the Ribble Valley.... This pathetic effort was just today's sideshow, a mere attempt to distract attention from the hammer blows being planned for our club.
  16. To be fair, Mowbray has been more than semi-detached from events on field for a good while now. Long enough to gain permission for a new plan, but not quite long enough to put down the foundations on the next set up through the front at Brockhall. In my opinion, Tony's pension pot is full enough at this point. Developments on and off the field are becoming suspiciously disconnected from football, and more to do with greedy self-interest.and no, I'm not talking about referees 😞
  17. Aye, and liars, cheats, asset-strippers and con-men employ GURNING DISINTERESTED PAST IT PATSIES to hide the fact that the real game is not on the pitch, but in getting rich by selling off the crown jewels. https://www.brfcs.com/forums/topic/34804-brockhall-stc-planning-permission-application/ If you haven't been on the Brockhall up for sale thread yet, go there now. It is a more important development than whether the Gurning Goon sets us up for a win or a loss today. It really is - the heart and essence of Jack's Legacy and our club is at stake.
  18. I used to referee regularly down at the Academy complex a few years ago, and whilst the set up was certainly a massive step up from training down Pleasington, it was (is) only just above the standard of QEGS set up on Pleckgate Road. There is the small consideration of the time-lag between closing / demolishing the existing Senior Training centre at the front of Brockhall, and the planning process / approval / ground clearance / build / commissioning and occupation of a new facility on the site of the existing Academy. That, in itself, would take a considerable amount of time to achieve, during which time the club might have no ready alternative for training either the senior or academy players. I mean, where would they all train? Gawthorpe????????? I think not! Forgive my cynicism, but this sniff of a plan for obliterating Jacks Legacy in the Senior Training Centre sounds to me like the herald of the END OF DAYS for our once proud club. If it isn't that, then why the feck hasn't the club engaged with its stakeholders properly to set out it's vision for the future..? Venkys have always been deluded, and possibly cheated on by the scum who stole our club. Here is more evidence that the deception, lies and painful fleecing of Jack's (i.e. OUR!!) proud football club goes on to this day. See you down Pleasington folks.
  19. Ee aye ee aye ee aye oh, Up the football league we go, When we get promoted This is what we'll sing, We are the Rovers, We are the Rovers Kendall is the king...
  20. Fixed it for you... 😉
  21. Wasn't it the Cowley brothers, rather than Cowley singular? They were certainly the team that did the 6 fingered shuffles in the Cup..or am I thinking of someone else?
  22. No evidence for any of that, to be fair.
