  1. The manager got it badly wrong after Buckley got sent off. Travis should have been on the pitch straight away at 1-1, instead he inexplicably waited until we went 2-1 down to make the change. Also Garrett should be nowhere near Championship football, you can have all the passion in the world but the fact is that if you’re not good enough, you’re not good enough. There will be one weekend very soon where we’ll drop like a stone to our rightful place in the bottom half. If I were Broughton I’d be having serious words with the manager today.
  2. What are you on about? Even if this bs is true (it’s not), why would Adam need to ‘grow up’?
  3. This is usually accurate and it doesn’t look like any international channels will be showing the game https://m.livesoccertv.com/match/4447548/west-ham-united-vs-blackburn-rovers/. Doubt there will be any streams if this is the case.
  4. To be fair I thought the game was on Tuesday not Wednesday, maybe leave Scott out. Still think Adam should be able to play 45/60 on Wednesday and be fit by Sunday. Playing away against West Ham should be great experience for him.
  5. Pears Carter Scott W Mola Edun Adam W Garrett Buckley Markanday Dack Dolan Phillips in if he’s fit but someone said he’s injured. u21/18 bench.
  6. Travis and Lowe shouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence, Lowe is the worst player I’ve ever seen play for Rovers. It’s just revisionist to say they are comparable.
  7. How many sides have ever performed rubbish for 20 games and won every one of them? None. Perform like that and you get beat (much) more often than not
  8. Don’t care what anyone says, that performance was fucking rubbish
  9. It’s time to bring Buckley back. There’s no way he shouldn’t at least be on the bench in this side.
  10. Glad we both agree that win % on its own is not objective. Congrats on the new role Joe, if you need any further help or advice you know where I am.
  11. I think you have misunderstood, which is worrying for someone who supposedly works in the industry, though not surprising. The player that wouldn’t challenge for headers they know that they have little chance of winning would have an artificially inflated win % that doesn’t accurately reflect their aerial prowess. Win % on its own is absolutely not objective until you fully understand the context behind it.
  12. No it’s absolutely not objective. Some players won’t challenge for a header they know they have little chance of winning.
  13. Are people seriously saying that Phillips is ready right now? It’s been obvious to me after seeing him a couple of times that he’s just not. We’ve clearly promised him first team minutes to sign the contract, which is why he’s being played at times now when he wouldn’t be on merit alone. Whether the long term gains outweigh the short term pain of this approach remains to be seen, if he eventually turns into a £30m player it will probably have been worth us conceding a few poor goals early on in his career.
  14. I thought Clarke looked shite (maybe because I had high expectations considering the fee paid), Roberts on the other hand….
  15. Morton is quality, though I think his passing range and ability to strike a ball will let him down as he starting playing at higher levels. Only a kid though
  16. He’ll be defended because he’s an academy lad on his debut and has made no obvious mistakes, but you can’t have a player who doesn’t want the ball.
  17. There’s no reason why Travis, Morton and Wharton can’t play in the same team. Would actually give us a chance of linking defence to attack.
