  1. Haha no you didn’t. When I saw your post, I checked on twitter etc. to see if it had actually been confirmed (it hadn’t), so it was clear that either you knew it wasn’t true or you had made a mistake saying that it had been confirmed. If you had just said that it wasn’t his car you wouldn’t have had to clarify if you actually knew or you were mistaken.
  2. Then say ‘I know for a fact that the car isn’t his’ instead of making it sound like Pilkington himself has confirmed that it isn’t his car on Twitter or something.
  3. So you have heard that it isn’t his car? That’s not what your first post sounds like.
  4. I hate posts like this, confirmed by who...?
  5. Rose doesn’t get in over Alba. Walker I’ll give you because I think Carvajal is out. Costa or Kane is very debatable.
  6. Obviously there is a chance that they will go out before the quarters but to say that the best possible round they will reach is the quarter finals is laughable, especially with that squad. I dread to think where he reckons England will finish ‘at best’. There’s a strong debate about whether any of our players would get in their XI. Walker and Kane being the only two possibilities
  7. Goalkeepers: David De Gea (Manchester United), Pepe Reina (Napoli), Kepa (Athletic Bilbao) Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Nacho (all Real Madrid), Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique (both Barcelona), Nacho Monreal (Arsenal), Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea), Odriozola (Real Sociedad) Midfield: Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta(both Barcelona) Saúl, Koke (both Atletico), Thiago (Bayern) David Silva (Manchester City), Isco, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vázquez (all Real Madrid) Forward: Iago Aspas (Celta), Rodrigo (Valencia), Diego Costa (Atletico) Quarter finals at best? Are you having a laugh?
  8. Even Bennett didn’t get in the team under that twerp, I wouldn’t read anything into it. Byrne was the best midfielder I saw against us last season, I would give him another go.
  9. Conway shouldn’t be signing a new contract full stop. It would a be a purely sentimental decision which is never a good idea.
  10. Hopefully Stoke know that as soon as a slightly bigger club comes in for Rowett, he’ll be off like a shot. Comes across as a right prick.
  11. I doubt the lads that stuck around to right the wrongs of the Coyle season will accept him back in the group. They made a massive deal of wanting to make up for what happened that season so how can someone who took the easy way out come straight back in like nothing has happened? Not to mention the fact that a lot of the lads thought it was a joke that he was the captain in the first place. The only Championship clubs he will get would realistically get a contract with are Bolton and the League 1 playoff winners, and he’d be very lucky to get that, a guy of his talent shouldn’t even be playing in the football league.
  12. Don’t know why you insist on defending him even when the stats prove you were wrong? I believe you are the only one on here and the only Rovers fan I have spoke to who thinks anything other than Whittingham has been a poor player for us and has been a poor signing. Your constant defence of him every time he’s brought up in conversation seems strange to me.
  13. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/peter-whittingham/leistungsdaten/spieler/3762 He wasn’t in the squad on 13 occasions.
  14. For the record, Whittingham missed 13 games out of 46 through injury, the rest he either started, came off the bench or stayed on the bench.
  15. No, he started 5 games (mainly) because he was shite.
  16. I thought that the standard was incredibly poor for two of the best teams in the Championship and that we have absolutely nothing to fear.
  17. Yeah that might be it, they might add in an extra year to give him a bit of security as well. I can’t say I blame them, he shouldn't be on the £20k+ that he’ll be on if we activate the extension. £10-13k would be more realistic imo, although I can definitely see him making more than that elsewhere so we will possibly be without Graham next season?
  18. They must be asking Graham to take a pay cut or they would just activate the extra year extension. Does that mean that Mowbray thinks he’s being paid too much for the contribution he will make in the coming season or does it mean that there’s not much money in the coffers?
  19. And in those 10 games he proved he was way to good for League 1 and helped get us promoted . I have been to 90% of all games this season and watched the other 10% on ifollow, Nyambe offers zilch going forward. I get that you like Nyambe but you don’t have to lie about his abilities. Did he even get one assist? In my list of the players that are too good for league 1 I missed out Raya, another big reason why we got promoted.
  20. Rubbish. We haven’t had a settled two all season, Evans is poor, Smallwood has been poor during the second half of the season, Bennett only played there during the second half of the season, and Whittingham has been a disaster. We won promotion because we have a few players who are way too good for this league (Dack, Mulgrew, Graham, Bennett & Lenihan) and Armstrong was on fire for a couple of months. Nyambe brings nothing going forward and imo isn’t good enough to be playing in a decent Championship side.
  21. He’s only wasted at right back if your midfield is poor, as ours has been most of the season. His attributes are perfectly suited to playing full back.
  22. He hasn’t been on his game since January, he’s looked pretty poor. I also think he’d be a bit too slow for the increased pace of the Championship. Bennett could be treated as a CM but I think he’s a cracking right back and will be one of the best in the Championship there. At the end of the day it all depends on our ambition, if we just want to stay up, Smallwood is probably good enough, if we want to have a go at getting in the top half, Smallwood probably isn’t good enough. I’d like to see us use this momentum to have a proper go next season like Sheffield United.
